I have another question please help. When I foiled this video the other day it added all my retro stratum games just fine , BUT now . Since then I’ve downloaded Duckstation via Emudeck to add my 5th gen console games . And now when I went to “remove from steam” first for a clean transfer , then save to steam , when I went into library back in gaming mode , no collections are there at all now . Don’t know what happened. Do I need to do retro consoles separately ? Or not select alll the parce I did with ES/Pegasus/&’ReteoArch. Could I be doing to much at once? Any help is appreciated

Downloaded CSS loader and set to Round with a new profile . I then refreshed , but they’re still square . Do I need to restart/ reboot the deck ?

Is anyone not able to run PortProton at all? I cannot get it to download. It shows up in the application directory but whenever I try to launch it will say "downloading x file.tar.xz" and it will stay on 0 percent all day. My internet is fine too. Occasionally it will say its downloaded and then it won't launch, and when you do launch it restarts the process.

So you left out several important steps, such as where to copy the bios files and how to set them up properly in Steam OS (especially when they don't typically work straight away). But I get it. Fear of Nintendo is a strong thing to have when making content on the internet.

to me personally 40 frames on any triple A in the deck is great, hands down experience

I'm absolutely fine with playing on high settings and just locking to 40

any idea as to why my game artwork doesnt show up on pegasus? the emulators and games are where they should be, everything is good on that end. but the artwork doesnt show up on the interface at all, its just the game titles in text.

do you know if we can get 60 fps for the crew motorfest with overclock please ?

How I have issues to even reach 40. With the same settings.

I couldn't find the emulation folder for awhile. it turned out I had actually put it in my SD card and it was in a separate folder. other then that this guide was super helpful.

Have you tried covering the fan intake holes if it will cool the other areas that you mentioned?

you seem new to bench marking witch is fine I can tell you why it dosent drop in the town on high settings when you where on low the CPU was the bottle neck witch is why the GPU usage was below 90% when you where on ultra the GPU whent to 99% and became the bottle neck and the CPU was mostly working at the exact same speed as before mostly to do with the high amounts of NPCS

just finish game, medium low mix (mostly medium) FSR quality and 30 fps cap with motion blur. Completely smooth experience. i couldn't play game if it would be once at 30 once at 50 it's too jaring, cap should be always aiming lowers performance scenario for consistency

It plays well and looks great, but the text is just too damn small across the board on this game for Steam Deck as it's desinged for a 15+ inch monitor. Shame because it's a brilliant game. But it has a ton of reading to do, even in the PipBoy, so it really needs an accessiblity update to be enjoybale on a 7 inch screen. And this could be just as simple as being able to incease the in-game overlay text size and set a much closer zoom to the PipBoy, notes, and terminals in the game Settings/Display menu.

When I press play in the steam library and then launch, it just brings me back to the menu library :( Any idea how to fix this?

I’ve had my oled deck for about 4 months. Very careful with it. I guess I just used it just as much. Mid 30s gamer, I guess when I got my first deck ever the oled to go with my desktop. I guess I gravitated playing before bed laying down got I’ve recorded some good hours in it. Stock sticks, fine, mine left was starting to stick not like actually stick. But I could feel it inside. Installed the oled Gulikit, been loving it. Was able to get my deadzone 50% lower than stock sticks. They sit a little nicer and you don’t loose any features. It’s a nice upgrade for sure, not only for the peace of mind, but just how simple it’s really like a drop in solution that makes a world of difference. If you play any shooters like left for dead 2, or if you modded yours with game pass on there and play zombies on there. Way more accurate than stock.

Everytime i launch a game, even with persistent profiles, to actually take advantage of the higher TDP i have to disable and re enable Powerplay Limits. Super annoying. Sometimes it also just disappears and i can feel the performance hit. It's not overheating, is this an overdraw issue? I can pull 24W when set to 30W.
