They have to bring back full broadcast and new commentary.
Comparing the presentation in this game to something like NBA 2K25 is just sad. The pitch black arena spotlight celebrations. The zoomed in slow motion hit replays that are straight out of an arcade game. It’s so, so bad. The developers need to just watch real hockey games and literally recreate what they see. It’s not that hard.

Cheryl Pounder is embarrassingly terrible at this, so it's remarkable how much worse James Cybulski is. When James screams, he sounds like a kid trying to be excited without waking up his parents. And the presentation looks like EA Vancouver has never watched a sporting event on TV.
Ovetchkin got more than 1000 more shots on goal than Gretzky. Gretzky got 17% Goals per shot. Ovi got 12.9%. Also many more other of the top goal scorers got higher % than ovi. 15% is quite regular number. Mario L got 19%

If, when he breaks the record, Ovenchkin will have done it in a lot more games played around 150-200 more games played...plus he scored as of now 28 OT goals than Gretzky...Gretzky didn't play in the Era of 3 v 3 OT...if he did he would of at least 40 more goals...take away Ovenchkin's OT goals and he doesn't break the record.
