@@thiscityisreallylookslikea8340 Okay let reassure you that Melia is not the telethia in Xenoblade Chronicles X. In the first game Melia was told that her homs gene integration was at 80%, and why would her own father and brother lie to her face when they decided she would be the next ruler of the high entia? Her half sister Tyrea was also half homs and she didn't turn into a telethia. Also when Zanza sunk Prison Island into Eryth Sea and all of that high concentrated ether was released only the pure blood high entia transformed into telethia. All of the half homs high entia did not transform and escaped Alcamoth. If your statement that Melia's father and brother lied to her was true then every citizen of Alcamoth would have transformed.

Chris Chan is already bad enough, but god I can't imagine if people treated "Bench Tails" as a human being. also heads up to anyone that doesn't know what I'm on about : DO NOT search for the original comic. Trust me, you do not want to read it.
Now that I know that the creator of that iconic Spider-Man cover modeled that Mary Jane design after his wife, it makes me like the cover even more. It’s like seeing one half of a couple draw their partner and make them look even more good looking in the drawing, which is a wholesome and heartwarming way of saying, “you’re so beautiful.” At least, that’s what I think anyways.
reminds me of how Oda-sensei of _One Piece_ made Nami bustier in the later chapters to model her after his wife. And he still gets a lot of flack for oversexualizing women in his manga.
@@spectre9340Well, if it's how they treat people like this irl... But in all seriousness, just because people don't like something doesn't give them the right to turn the whole thing into a drama.

I can't see anime as mainstream when crap like this happens. Regardless of your views on anime/manga, or western animation/graphic novels, this is not an excuse to allow yourself to destroy something that does not belong to you. You are a vile human to do this to someone minding their own business trying to have fun. I still recall that one Twitter post from one of Rev's previous videos showing the aftermath of someone's gunpla and figure collection destroyed by an unsupervised child that still burns me to this day.
A book I read about the future talked about a period time in the 2020’s-2030’s where censorship was rampant and basically everything fun was removed in media. Twitter worries me that this will become reality
The assholes who bullied the kid who cosplayed to school piss me the fuck off. I'm Gen Z, born in 2004. It's not that big of an age gap, however, when I was in 8th grade (last year of middle school) the difference between the same generation shocked me. Our school had a D&D club. We had a game one day and some asshole 6th grader came in just to be rude and accuse the club of gross stuff due to halflings “looking like kids”. People need to get stuff together and learn that “if you don't like it just ignore it”.
We live in world where everything is catered to the user interest and because of this shit like this happen. People need to honestly know to fuck off if they don't like that specific thing and move on with their life like normal
Man, those dumb kids that bullied the costume guy...you just know that in a couple years they'll be into anime, too. The same thing happened with Pokemon, for example, and there's a really good Awkward Zombie comic that illustrates what happened with that very well. Grade School kids: "POKEMON!!" High School kids: "...Pft, are you seriously still playing Pokemon?" College kids: "POKEMOOOOOON!!!" Buncha dumbasses just trying to 'be cool' when in reality they're just bullies, scum of the earth. But with age you realize that what you personally enjoy is more important than what other people think about it, and you just go ahead and enjoy the things you like. It's terrible that that kid had his confidence crushed like that, it really was a good costume.
Really loved how the artist handled the drama, that's the right way to defend your passion, a good example for everyone imo On the other hand, feel very sad for that kid, hope he recieves the support he needs to confront the situation properly, and just enjoy his passion freely, without caring what his peers may think

Their reaction to the block is the biggest mask off. What did they want? For the artist to grovel at their feet for posting anime girls? Not to psycho-analyze but at the end of the day what other explanation is there than that they wanted to attention for being a hero? Even from the "villain"?
I’m gen z but I think there’s a serious divide with people being born in the early 2000’s to 2010’s I don’t really remember people harassing people at school for their personal interests, if you thought what a person liked was weird you just ignored that side of them or just avoided them all together
Late 2000's was the last years of the wild west internet, and edgy culture in general. Those that were born in early 2k, and especially if they had older siblings were around to still see some dank stuff. Those born in early 2010's basically grew up with stuff like fakebook and other technocratic megacorps being the norm for the internet. Where everyone basically had forgotten all the rules of the internet, be it safety or 4chan memes. Anonymity was dead, normies were everywhere, big brother was watching, and all of those combined made it impossible to post anything spicier then a tuna mayonnaise sandwich.
there have been times where the things some people did as shown in these videos have made me angry but the one of the kid getting their costume ruined by asshole kids left me on an entirely different level of furious i cant even begin to explain this shit will probably make that kid want to close themselves off from the rest of the world about their interests and it's gonna be those assholes' damn fault
Fake people pretending to be virtuous to try to fill their empty character. Canceling someone is their only way to feel they're doing something in their life, even if they don't believe in what they spout off. Glad internet as whole aren't taking their shit seriously and support/defend the artist 🥳🎉
I relate to that so much as I was bullied for liking anime in middle school. I was called the f slur and the r word for liking DBZ and Naruto. Kids were saying "those shows are gay and r worded". That was an excellent costume that kid wore and his entire Halloween was ruined by a bunch of little craps. And seeing the anime elitists in the replies saying "he deserved to be bullied because I don't personally like Chainsaw Man" really pissed me off.
It’s the same with comic books. But Marvel shows everyone that you never throw your “nerd looser” audience away cuz the “cool” audience will move on to other popular things in a heartbeat. Franchise owner must be smart at identifying tourists.
I’m just so sick of these people, I just had an argument with a guy on X about a panel from Seven Deadly Sins where Meliodas is holding Elizebeth as a baby and saying “don’t you dare lay a hand on my woman”, and started calling him a P**o, he’s exact words were “he’s going to clap cheeks with a toddler”. Absolutely nowhere in the story does it say he’s going to do that or even implies it. Then when you point out the fact that it’s not even implied or hinted he just ignores that fact, I don’t even know why I started talking to him, I usually don’t engage with these lunatics.
These antis cancel artists for drawing “loli” They also cancel artists for drawing sexy women. Don’t tell them I draw anime girls and fictional characters with hyper unrealistic proportions.
When will these antis/tourists/zoomers ever realize that the best option when it comes to artists that they hate is to just block, and ignore them, then move on, rather than constantly engage in content that they supposedly despise? On the plus side though it does lead to said artists getting more followers than ever before, and I'll be sure to give them a follow too! Man, I just feel so bad for that poor kid, and his parents... He worked so hard on his Chainsaw Man costume for Halloween only then to be ripped to shreds by a group of bullies Cinderella style (they basically became Chainsaw Man themselves, and tore up the poor costume), all because of them being on Twitter, and TikTok, and those toxic sites telling them that "anime is for losers", which is really just a bunch of zoomers who have no idea what they're talking about. Y'know, as stupid as it was to have Homer Simpson no longer being allowed to strangle Bart's anymore especially when it was perfectly fine just a couple of years, I'm honestly not surprised to see it censored especially with Fox being owned by Disney these days, unfortunately, which are more reasons why The Simpsons should've LONG ended, because when we get to a point where iconic characters like Apu is no longer allowed to be seen, but other stereotypes are perfectly fine (at least for now until they say it isn't), THAT'S when the series should've concluded a VERY long time like probably around late 90s-early 00s. And that Mary-Jane Watson design from 1 decade ago is simply gorgeous, and everybody was fine with it, BOY, times sure have changed, haven't they (and mostly not for the better)?
It’s always “you aren’t part of the in group? Well, you need to be persecuted” with humanity. It’s basically a fact of our existence. Just a question of how extreme, and what differences people focus on.
Twitter Freaks: Protect the children! A real child: *Get bullied because of his costume.* Also Twitter Freaks: *Proceeds to victim blame the child.* What happened to “ protecting the children “?

Ok, the one with the kid is where I'm fuming rn. I thought we were over that era of "Anime is weird. You should get bullied " bs. Are we advancing backwards socially because of twitter freaks?!
That Chainsawman costume story kinda reminds me of the kid that got bullied and beat up by his classmates for liking spiderman. Poor guy got punched in the face and broke his nose.
The people that bully & criticize Animator enjoyers, creators & voice actors on twitX/IRL think that their woke but they asleep as they're sleeping on Anime & won't wake up from their nightmare.
God I hate the word “problematic”. I know it’s been around for a while but it’s turned into such a chronically online term. Every time I hear someone say “problematic” I already know it’s so dumb bs on twitter.
I absolutly love when artist says antis to f off or even make them angrier by doing more "problematic" content on purpose. Because at the end of the day what can twitter mob really fo to you? They like barking dogs on leashes behind the fence 😂
Its like they lack the self-awareness to just ignore and avoid things they don't like and "feel" like they have to be apart of something popular and then b*tch and cry when something has something they don't like.
Honestly with all things considered, I'd rather have anime stigmatized than to have the floodgates open for mainstream culture to try and colonize it. It is a necessary tradeoff. "It still does the damage" * Yu-Gi-Oh flashbacks *
Anybody curious about the outfits Shulk and Melia are wear, it’s the job class (vampire) from Bravely Default 1. Melias outfit is specifically the Japanese version that got censored in the western release.
Im not going to blame parents, we live in a world where both parents must work full-time to get even a chance at making ends meet. But this what happens when your kids are left to raise themselves and the only attention they get is from the internet
I absolutely will blame parents, without a moment of hesitation. I work full time, and have raised two kids on my own. I made sure to teach them to behave and treat others well, and it shows in their actions to this day. There is absolutely zero excuse for parents who fail to teach their children right from wrong.
Not an excuse. They are adults, and they chose to have one or more kids. And there are places where one can live on one salary instead of two. Not to mention, there are many single parents out there too. The problem is that living on less money means less money for things like the newest Iphones, having to have a smaller TV (or no TV), not having the new Xbox or Playstation, having to make do with an older car, having to live in an older house/trailer. I'm not saying there won't be sacrifices, but if you have a child, they have needs that come first and so if you have to sacrifice a comfortable living situation to meet that child's needs, then it is your duty to make that sacrifice.
If the parents cannot take the time to explain to their kids the difference between fiction and reality, they shouldn't have been fooling around in the first place. It's absolutely the parents fault for just giving their kids unlimited internet access and expecting strangers to raise their kids for them.
It’s one thing to treat fictional characters like real people as a joke or when using them as an example for how good/evil/broken/etc they are, but when you actually, unironically think they’re real, that’s when we know you’re in need of schizo pills.
7:50 Perfectly example of, "Telling me you have a mental illness without explicitly telling me you have a mental illness." You say delusional shit like that tells me more than enough at that point. "Oh, what happens if they're just a minor like 8-12", Well they shouldn't be around these parts for the obvious reasons and another thing is, their parents failed to discipline them. If they're 13-17, then that tells me this isn't just immaturity, but this is clear signs of untreated mental illness.
8:33 they say the same thing you said just before, people who look at anything and think of sexualized children because they're brain rotted and self-reporting that shit. But could've been phrased better.
That stuff with the kid being picked on for wearing the anime costume is infuriating. I hope the kid was able to get lots of candy even if he didn't go trick or treating because that is just horrible and it speaks bad on this kids that bullied him because I guarantee you the kids probably got the idea of anime being for losers from their ignorant parents
Gosh that Simpsons thing is an oddity. Here I was rolling my eyes about 'Times have changed' and then realized "When has choking children EVER been acceptable?" The gag has always just been a dynamic of Bart's callousness either with insults or actions that throw Homer into a fit of rage with an iconic "Why you lil!" Often being immediately broken up by Marge telling Homer off. Homer himself as a character is both a highly toxic rage machine with more often then not completely hair brained schemes that one can see failing from the outset with how misguided he is. Almost everything Homer has ever done has never been 'acceptable' but the gags and plots for comedy's sake are just that. To strip Homer of his impulsive rage would effectively remove a core of his character. If you're taking his choking of Bart out then why not go the whole hog if 'Times have changed'.
Man, if this generation had something going, it was their tolerance. Back when I was a kid I had to hide that I liked anime and videogames until I was like 18 years old. And even then I had to hide it from coworkers and such until I was like 25 and this whole thing became mainstream. In school people would openly bully nerds, and girls would be disgusted because they were convinced that manga was xxx-only. At work you would be the laughing stock because you watch cartoons or didn't grow out of child's stuff. This gen is much more tolerant with these things. I see it. It's so sad that there's still some anime-related bullying going on.

Im not going to blame parents, we live in a world where both parents must work full-time to get even a chance at making ends meet. But this what happens when your kids are left to raise themselves and the only attention they get is from the internet
Its a s*** world they lived in
I absolutely will blame parents, without a moment of hesitation. I work full time, and have raised two kids on my own. I made sure to teach them to behave and treat others well, and it shows in their actions to this day. There is absolutely zero excuse for parents who fail to teach their children right from wrong.
@selenagamya1612 a heart felt congratulations to you then. You did better than most 🫡
Not an excuse.

Plum went from 5k to 6k now.
Gosh that Simpsons thing is an oddity. Here I was rolling my eyes about 'Times have changed' and then realized "When has choking children EVER been acceptable?"
The gag has always just been a dynamic of Bart's callousness either with insults or actions that throw Homer into a fit of rage with an iconic "Why you lil!"
Often being immediately broken up by Marge telling Homer off.
