He's on of the greatest catch and shoot players out there with Klay. Props to him but he wasn't underrated. Since Atlanta everyone acknowledged him but to be fair he really only has his jumpshots.

Kyle Korver became one of my favorite players because he splashed almost every shot in NBA 2k13, and now that I know that he's even better outside of the game, I like him better.
Once a week I google his name just to see if there's been any updates on his decision to play/retire. He's also been making guest appearances on The Arena on TNT.
It sucks as a Korver fan not seeing him with the Bucks again or whatever team he would have decided to play for, but you can't be mad at it if this is the reasoning for it. Even if he isn't a guy who ranks super high for the NBA all-time, his impact on and off the court won't be forgotten.
I am glad that someone did a video on him. This guy deserves more attention than any body can think of. True genuine heart off the court and in the locker room. Coaching in his resume? May be. As Chi fan, enjoyed the days he wore a Bulls jersey. This guy is class written all over him.

It took a lot to recover and Korver said "he had to completely change his shot as a result of the injury" of course he was never the same since. Best 3 pt shooter of all time
Hope he comes back for one last shot at a ring. I am hanging out for the day he becomes a coach in the league too, and hopefully a head coach at that. He knows how to help people, talk to people and he would make an incredible addition and leader for any coaching staff.

Korver is actually from my town of Lakewood California but he moved to Iowa when he was 12 because I think his dad was a pastor and got a new gig out there.

@Clay Tomson you might at to go look at stats his shooting dropped from .40% to 38 not much of a drop off his points dipped a little but his minutes were reduced from around to a little over 20 to 16.5 your playing less minutes so it’s natural for your points to dip a little. Not to mention most guys shooting percentage drop in the playoffs a little bit. Why because the teams your facing are usually better, you do the ethos Enron playoff teams to boost your numbers. I’m not sure I’d say he disappeared did the go down a little sure but they were all pretty close to his career playoff Avgs so I’m not sure I’d say he disappeared. If you were expecting him to help win then your priorities were messed up to begin with. He’s a role player and has always been a role player! He doesn’t really decide wins or loses he just gives his minutes and if your minutes are shrunken by the coaches not much you can do. If you want to looks at his worst playoff his rookie season was worse he did drop off them with Phil.

Kyle Korver is one of my favorite NBA players, he's so humble in and off the court. Good luck Kyle on your new life's journey but if you ever go back to playing NBA basketball again I will certainly watch you play no matter which team you'll be playing. Thanks for letting us know where he is now.
He came up Waaaay Waaay small in the 2 Finals with The Cavs, those bright lights and big stage was too much for him
I guess you missed the part where his brother died a few weeks before the playoffs. I think anyone would have. A hard time focusing on basketball after that. Especially if you were really close to your brother.
@Clay Tomson you might at to go look at stats his shooting dropped from .40% to 38 not much of a drop off his points dipped a little but his minutes were reduced from around to a little over 20 to 16.5 your playing less minutes so it’s natural for your points to dip a little. Not to mention most guys shooting percentage drop in the playoffs a little bit. Why because the teams your facing are usually better, you do the ethos Enron playoff teams to boost your numbers. I’m not sure I’d say he disappeared did the go down a little sure but they were all pretty close to his career playoff Avgs so I’m not sure I’d say he disappeared. If you were expecting him to help win then your priorities were messed up to begin with. He’s a role player and has always been a role player! He doesn’t really decide wins or loses he just gives his minutes and if your minutes are shrunken by the coaches not much you can do. If you want to looks at his worst playoff his rookie season was worse he did drop off them with Phil.
@Clay Tomson I’ve never heard anyone call him a hell of gamer. He was a good 3 pt shooter but was always 3rd or 4th option in most offenses. I don’t know who you talked to that called him a hall of gamer but they are crazy.
I love how Hawks commentators knew Korver was making a 3 4 times in a row. I watched every Hawks game from 2013-15 and I never heard more confident commentators than them.
Always liked him. Just one of those guys you want in your life.

I remember Kyle's story like the back of my hand. My aunt cooked for him in Cleveland and I remember her telling me that his brother was sick. Crazy to hear about this again as I haven't thought about it for years.
