When Tarpley was suspended , he headed to Greece in order to keep playing basketball . Our league was then in par with the Spanish ABA for the best league in Europe . Averaging 23 ppg and 18 rpg , he was a key asset in Aris winning the 1992 1993 Saporta Cup . Next season , coach Giannis Ioannidis called Tarpley to Olympiakos . There , he created a super team with teammates such as Panagiotis Fassoulas , Milan Tomic , Euthimios Bakatsias , Giorgos Sigalas , Dragan Tarlac , team captain Argyrios Kambouris and the team's co-megastar Zarko Paspalj . With 22 ppg and 20 rpg he led the Reds in the double ( championship and domestic cup ) and 2nd place in Euroleague . It's too bad such a player died because of outgame factors . I've been a die-hard Mavs fan since the 80s. You mentioned '92-93 with 11 wins. Few remember the following year we only won 13 games. I never hopped off the bandwagon and it's been worth it under the Dirk and Doncic eras. Back to that team on your list: We were 7-64 with 11 games remaining went 4-7 in the last 11, and 2-0 in the last 2 to make sure we didn't end up with the worst record in history at the time.
I was right there as well. Went to empty Reunion Arena to watch them. Some seasons the Mavs had as many losses as the Rangers. After all them horrible seasons we could not get the #1. Close we got to was #2 pick & that was Jason Kidd
Some inaccuracies with the 1990's Denver Nuggets though: they had one magical playoff run (made it up to Game 7 of the second Round in 1993-94, which included an upset of #1 seeded Seattle in the First Round), but only made the playoffs one more time with Mutombo the next season, while completely falling off the map entirely afterwards. Also, the Nuggets never posted better than 42 wins (that 1993-94 season again) the entire decade. I will say that the 1990-91 Nuggets scored a lot of points, but were pretty inefficient offensively (27th in shooting percentage) and gave up a ton more (119.9-130.8) than they scored.
@@bradbruhn9586 This is true, and neither Lever (injuries) and English (aged out) helped much for the 28-54 Mavericks. The Nuggets went for a rebuild, which SORTA worked (basketball fans do remember that big 1994 upset).

But like you said, not meant to be (one Mav from this era who still made an impact later in the 1990s was Derek Harper, who was the Knicks best player in the 1994 Finals).

Very interesting video, but the harsh reality about some of these teams lack of success is their location. The small market and unlikable weather in the cities they play in has been the reason why franchises like the Timberwolves, Kings, Hornets, Pistons, and Blazers haven't been where big-name, all-star free agents prefer to sign during the off-season.

@@LethalProtector8000because your a laker fan?
@@Anomaly1928 Read the title of the video.
@@LethalProtector8000 jk but I do think they should be in this list maybe top 7 I’m a lakers fan as well but what about mentioning the 2000-01 bulls
My God the absolute (and entirely deserved) shade thrown at MKG
I’m just here after watching the 6ers “process” completely fall apart to Trae Young. Simmons just played his last game for Philly
Fun fact: one of Denver's 11 wins that season was against the "Last Ride" Bulls and it was actually a pretty significant margin
Please see the New York KNICKS. Since the dawn of the Millenium, they've only won 2 playoff series. They missed the playoffs completely in 16 of those years.
That's crazy, the Bobcats lost their last 23 games,I was looking at their schedule then and figured they had at least a couple of wins in there, hard to believe they beat a team more than once, the Toronto Raptors!
Imagine being named 76ers and entering 1976 with a team in top 5 worst teams ever
1976 Sixers had Julius Erving and a record of 50-32 lol
imagine watching this video and immediately getting the facts wrong
I love how at 00:16 he showed a clip of the Steelers when he said their are negative records but they were 11-2
yeah lol 😂😂
He said the 2011-12 bobcats are “1th” 🤣🤣
It's amazing to see Kemba with the Celtics after being part of the worst run franchise in all sports. Jordan might be the GOAT player but he is without a doubt THE worst executive currently active.
Kareem is the goat
8:00 it says 2th
Tooth
The process never payed off and never will.
this youtube channel aint got 1million subs? damn their videos are so great tho, damn at least i can now say i was here before they blew up. luv from australia eetzwa adlay.
As of this year it’s been 10 years since Kemba was drafted?! That makes me feel old.
Time flies
I think he forgetting the Vancouver Grizzlies
Don’t...Just Dont
Big Kountry...
I thought winning only 9 games was crazy until the bobcats came with 7 wins
It was a shortened season so they wasn't the worst in win%
@@kingmelo2877they actually were
That Simmons thing didn’t age well huh
I love this channel
Imagine saying you made it on a NBA roster and this video comes out and your on that team lmao
5th 1997-98 Denver Nuggets (11-71). 4th 1992-93 Dallas Mavericks (11-71). 3th 2015-16 Philadelphia 76ers (10-72). 2th 1972-73 Philadelphia 76ers (9-73). 1th 2011-12 Charlotte Bobcats (7-59).
The 72-73 sixers had the reverse of the best record 😂😂
whats weird is in they won in 1967 were great in 1968 and won in 1983 and made the 1977 1980 and 1982 finals lol ....that clearly was on the coach who lost all the players early...they were great 3 years after 73 and 4 years before 72
The 9-73ers.
This video is awesome! :D
gerald wallace and stephen jackson werent even on that bobcats team
They said two years prior.
I'm surprised any of the Suns teams from 2012-2019 were not mentioned. They were legitimately unwatchable at times. So glad that they finally are good again for the past few years.
That's when Charles Barkley had that great rant about the arena experience in Phoenix. The hard pretzels, hard hot dog buns, the stale beer, the dirty seats...
@@Tyrunner0097 & THE CHIPS ARE STALE!!
At 0:55 and 3:15 that is Lafayette "Fat" Lever. Pronounced "LEE-vur".
It was bugging me
10:15 how would you pronounce that? Oneth.. or would it be firth?
As a warriors fan the 15-50 2020 season was definitely embarrassing
Philly just got mad unlucky w/ the draft classes they got to choose from. The lottery picks in the drafts that the sixers intentionally tanked their seasons for were some of the weakest and least talented draft prospects in decades lol.
3:47 3th huh?
🤣🤣🤣
I'm so glad Kemba Walker is with a team that can actually contend for something. That Boston team has a promising future
Bro out of the league now
That thumbnail tho😂😂😂
Kemba walker is great, just needed enough time to mature.
Whos here durning the Pistons miserable season
At 8:41, the 1983 "Fo Fo Fo" 76ers. "Fo Fo Fo" was Moses Malone's postseason prediction, meaning a clean sweep of the playoffs. Moses and Company actually went "4-5-4," losing only one game, as the Sixers, led by Malone, Julius Erving, Bobby Jones, and Maurice Cheeks won the NBA Championship. (Moses Malone was named the NBA Finals' MVP.)
0-82 is that possible
Kevin Garnett thinks so
I can’t believe my Vancouver Grizzlies couldn’t even make this list :(
the 2012 bobcats is just as worse as the 2016 dubs going 73-9 without a ring. 😂😂
🥱
1:12 Fact:They would in 2023.
#1 said this teams not winning unless you change our name😂
Nobody going to talk about how the Philadelphia 76ers are in…3th? Lol at 3:49. Didn’t realize 3th was a placement
How bad are you?
We're 3th
Do you want a drink of water?
I didn't say we are thirsty, I said we are thirth
Thank god we got rid of the bobcats name ...it’s still haunts Charlotte to this day
never will know how al jefferson and stephan jackson got this team to the playoffs...those guys are clear winners
@@razkable they had a decent squad; it was more Gerald Wallace but they fumbled him so bad; that 2010 year was their best year. Al had Kemba and a whole roster full of role players lol
#55 for the nuggets wanted to stay in Denver. Management at the time didn’t want to keep him.
Without watching this, the Clippers and Nuggets had to have one, yes,I know about the Bobcats and Sixers! Some other I am sure honorable mentions have to be Minnesota right before KG,the Sixers right before the Answer and the 92-93 Mavs, really bad teams!
great vid n concept... def butchered alot of names....lol
Why put in a video of Steve Kerr reacting to Steph hitting an insane shot on a video that has the worst teams ever?
"you better suck like nobody ever sucked before" ... WHAT ?!😭 had me rolling ...
so, how is Sam Hinkies plan working out in 2021?
We need a Reboot of this video we all know why💀
