Swapped out the Goats for Durocks V2 and man, it was most definitely needed. How dare Glorious call their own stabs GOATS...
After watching this, I can finally go for Brass Plate.
Nice video! I had to do some filing with my GMMK Pro alu plate as well to fit Durock V2s. Though I might got carried away and filed a bit too much on all stab holes, but I don't think that'll be an issue since the stabs are screw-in 😆. Working great so far!
Just got mine and got the same issue of them sticking, so it's time to sort them out tomorrow night 😂

Good news about my ISO layout GMMK Pro there is no need extra modification for Durock V2. It just fit exactly. Maybe this will be helpful someone who thinks about ISO layout.

I can confirm that. Fits on ISO without filing. For anybody that has an ISO version: Try to put one of the stab housings first into the plate to see if it fits. its a snug fit but no force needed.
I went with C3 Equalz on my GMMK Pro but had to do quite a bit of sanding on my PC plate. Trying to stretch fit it left a big bow in my PCB

Hey so I have a question, when I'm looking at the stabs online it only has 80%/100%. The Glorious GMMK Pro is 75% do the 80% ones work on the 75% board? Specifically I'm looking at the durock stabs? I just can't seem to find anything that has the 75%.. Thanks!
80% / 100% stabs means it will have more sets of stabs for a keyboard that has number pad or arrow keys.
This will not affect its compatibility with a 75% keyboard like GMMK pro. All you will end up with are extra stabs that you won't need.
However, what you MUST look out for are the dimensions (X × Y × Z inches) and spacebar unit lengths (6.25 u / 7.0 u).
I am using Durock v2s in this video and GMMK pro's spacebars are 6.25u.

Thank you for your comment. It took me about 15-20 mins to file, and about 2-3 minutes to sand it.

You're welcome! Sadly I do not have any experience with TX stabs and I can't find the measurement specifications for it online. But PC plate is the most flexible and compatible so I would say it's worth a gamble.

When you put the keycaps, is the key with stabs slightly raised compared to rest of the row?
Raised yes, but only ever so slightly that I have to get my eyes on table level to discern it.
hey man great vid just wondering what part of the plate did you file down to fit the stabs in the spacebar

what did you use to shave it down, i want new stabs but nothing fits apparently
where exactly do u file/sand down for the spacebar.
For me I file the 4 stubs and the left and right edges of the plate for spacebar. I recommend you to put in your stabs on the PCB and try to fit your plate on it to see which part is not clearing.
lol i have no problebs with Durock v2 smoki on gmmk pro... But i sale my old gmmk pro and buy new and buy Durock v2 clear is no support it ....

Have you tried using TX or c3 stabs on akko board? Tried using staebies but it wont fit on the plate
Sorry I do not have any experience with stabs compatibility with akko board, but if the material is aluminum or brass you should be able to file it to make it fit.
I’m having figment issues with the durock stabs on the polycarb plate. is it a good idea to file them down as well?
If you are having trouble fitting your stabs then you will need to thin out your plate instead of trying to force it in.
However with a polycarbonate plate I wouldn't recommend filing as it will probably be flexing all over the place or have some unexpected results.
You can try sanding it with sandpaper or use a knife to cut (if you have any high precision cutting tools).
If all else doesn't work out, filing it may be your last resort.

@@karimnayed5611 Yes. Sanding is done with sandpaper and filing is done with diamond files.
The former is less harsh on the polycarbonate.

Did you only file down left shift, enter, and backspace? Or did you need to file down a bit on the spacebar to make the Durock stabs fit?
No, in my case all 4 stabs can't fit. So I filed down on everything, including a bit on the spacebar too.
@@Chicken-or-watermelon Ahh I see. I was looking to get the GMMK Pro but replace the stock stabs with the Durock V2. I wanted to see how much filing needed to be done so that all 4 stabs fit.
@@Duhboyike I heard the newest batches don't have issues with stock compatibility, but that entirely depends on your luck.
Alternatively you may want to check its direct competitor: Keychron Q1.

I saw it from TaoBao and ordered it through EzBuy. It is a 68 keys wrist rest made of Jichimu (chicken wings wood) and i like the smooth black paint job. I was looking for an alternative to Glorious's overpriced wrist rest.

Yes, there are youtube videos out there that shows you how to fix it.
Alternatively, you should be able to use a paintbrush and get some lube out.

Are these the c3 Equalz v3 stabilisers in video. Will these fit the standard gmmk pro Aluminium plate one with no issues ? Looking to order some
I used Durock V2s. For c3 Equalz v3 with alu plate IF you are lucky it will be tight fit.
