@@theurbangentry lol you are right about germany but this style of fonds was more used in the 30s and 40s 😂 not today anymore ... Greetings from Germany
Easy way for me to pull it off is wearing all black and let the watch talk. It’s the most conservative way a non-flashy person can pull this watch off. I honestly recommend a fun gold watch to everyone.
Lubię twój kanał, bo masz najbardziej zdrowe podejście do tematu zegarków. Nie skupiasz się ani na samych luksusowych, ani na tanich, potrafisz to wyśrodkować i widać, że jesteś prawdziwym pasjonatem.
Quick tip when sizing the bracelet: Use proper tools to remove and reinstall the pins like in the video, however, you shouldn't need to use pliers if you're using the arrows stamped into the inside of the watch band for reference since the pins are directional and are meant to be removed one way (hammering the narrow end of the pin) and reinstalled the opposite way with the wider end of the pin being hammered. Proper tools and correct technique are often the only way to do this kind of thing without damaging anything and get great results.
Very impressed. Easy to wear this as a dress watch. I don’t normally like a gold dial paired with a gold case but Seiko somehow found a way to make it work. The gothic font really is a winner in my books. Gives the watch a higher level look. The lack of screw down crown is also a plus. I find screw down crowns a pain. I try to stay away from them.
I love that you take the time to bring Hugo into your videos, not only are they amazing to watch, they are also very funny and pleasing to see, Thank You TGV and Hugo!!!! Much Love to you
I like my vintage Seiko 5..... It works like a champ and right on point...... I intend to put a sapphire crystal.... I intend to inquire about a screw down crown option....... Like I said I know people complain about the bracelets.... But this bracelet is really elegant..... I brushed the high chrome finish down a little bit because I felt like it was competing too much with the rhodium sunburst dial..... Now that I've brushed the case down it looks very elegant.... I do love to watch band I love the thinness of it.... I have had Rolex watches and I had to keep forcing myself to try to like it..... The dealer would only give me an eighth of the trade back price..... So I found great joy and just gifting them to friends...... One time I had the Rolex on when I went sailing..... And the band came undone.... I would have lost it had I let go of the rope...... Seiko's give me great joy and keep me on time and they're very easy to read..... I love collecting them.... Thank you for being such a psycho enthusiast....SEIKO enthusiast 🧐🌹❤️🍕🍄

Very Elegant stuff. I need to upgrade my EDC for sure. I love the background music and the flask. Buying that gold Seiko SRPD74 today because I love it and you explained it. Thanks mate. ❤
I've got the orange SRPD59K1. I agree with your assessment of this line, TGV. Very nice dial, butter-smooth hand winding. It's also the most accurate watch I own. Fully wound, it runs at around +/- 0 seconds per day. 👍🏻
I love how you were laughing throughout the whole abduction sequence at the beginning, very funny. As always TGV, you know I enjoy coming home to these videos, especially after an early morning without coffee.
The Seiko 5KX really is a great watch, i own the black dial and stainless steel version. I have tiny wrists (around 6 inches or so) and the sizing is perfect. Even the bracelet is a great fit for its price. I payed just £187 for mine and even though there is no screw-down crown its perfect because when do most people seriously go diving? It is a smart, classy, tough daily wear and beater worthy watch all in one...
Glad to hear it Sebastian, it's certainly on of those items where you kick yourself to think why didn't I come up with that! Enjoy and thank you my friend. Best regards, TGV

I love the modded retro look, white chapter ring, milanese rubber and the bluish lume. Owning a 5KX doesn't make my 009 any less great but I do find myself trying to handwind the Pepsi every so often.
Marcus Aurelius is a very important figure in Roman/Italian history. His memoirs are indeed a real revelation into the classical age. He is also very important to British history as he is considered as an ancestor of Ambrosius Aurelianus who is a ancestor of many early Welsh Kings and more importantly early Saxon kings.
The gold 5kx is really nice. I have my eye on a Casio dress quartz in gold for under $40 (MTP-1128). The watch reports are outstanding and the design is quite understated, small, sleek, with great composition. Reminds me of my gold vintage Omega. Always great to visit your show TGV.
If I didn't already have a modified Golden Turtle with Strapcode Jubilee, I'd consider this. It's suppose to be an occasional wear, fun piece. Not to be taken THAT seriously (as some of these comments seem to think). I think TGV did an outstanding job (as he always does) reviewing a watch objectively and pointing out the good, bad and suspect. Ultimately, it's up to each individuals personal taste.
Nice pickup and unboxing. I have a couple of 5Kx. The SRPD55 (black on SS) and 73 (Vintage style on Mesh). I am enjoying them both. Nice and easy to wear and I like the day date complication too.
Thanks to your videos, I got my first mechanical wristwatch ever. It's the Seiko 5kx Suits Style! I love to wear it, and suddenly I'm into watches. Keep up the great work with your channel. Inspiring! Cheers!
About a few hours ago I was at a flea market. I was almost done looking around when I noticed some watches. Most of them were plain dress Seikos and Armitrons but one was a 100 meter Pulsar diver styled watch. No joke it looks just like this watch. It had the champagne dial, champagne rotating bezel, and was on a black rubber strap. The idea was to buy the watch clean it up and sell it but, since I saw this video, I think I probably going to hold on to it. Great video TGV. Continue to what you. From JP
I am currently waiting on the blacked out SRPD79 to arrive. It may be a touch difficult to read at a glance, but it just feels so rugged and cool. Definitely a watch I will love to add to my EDC. It is my very first diver style watch and my first step up from Gshock watches. This may be the beginning of an obsession.
This watch model is my daily driver watch- but of course in the classic stainless steel with a black dial and bezel. Super comfortable and easy to set the time on the go without the screw down crown :)
Very nice, I love Seiko and got one for my 10th year anniversary of living in Japan. I understand the frustration with straps. I also have a thin wrist. What I do is have have one side of the strap longer so that the lock fits better.... It is tricky to find the perfect fit though.
Congratulations on your new purchase, TGV! Always good to have a fun watch in the collection. Mine is the Full-Metal G-Shock in gold. Also, loved listening to you on Power Gauntlet! Very entertaining background on Hugo! Keep up the great work. Cheers from Florida.
That intro was fantastic. These new Seiko 5 are all i wanted from the 5 line when they added seconds hacking. This gold one might replace my Sea Urchin as my daily. Keep up the good work.
I have purchased extra buckles to replace faulty or damaged buckles, and even deployant buckles to add a bit (1 or 2cm) of length to a strap that was short.
I had a gold fetish in my early watch collecting phase at one point. The pinnacle example being a limited edition Invicta, yes, Invicta, pro diver Chronograph with a rather nice Valjoux 7751, the auto chrono with triple calendar, pointer date and true moon phase! And, it had a gold treated meteorite dial to match, too! It was limited to around 200 pieces and I happen to get 001/200?! (Or whatever the max 200-odd limited edition number was). I took it as a sign to keep it.. at least for a good while. I really enjoyed that watch and it worked great. Not going to lie, I felt like a mini-baller with that at times, lol! Reference Invicta 0212 if you are remotely curious, if not feel slight entertainment value. It is actually not a bad looking watch and although I think it was a larger than what I'd wear now case size of maybe 47mm, they did have a great way of curving the lugs down and keeping the L2L relatively short so that they'd fit on even smaller wrists well, actually. And, the relative small dial size kept the visual weight lower than you'd expect.. or so that's how I remembered it. For under $1k at the time, not bad for a Swiss auto movement with at least 6 complications (date, day, month, moonphase, 24-hour, chronograph-maybe a few more if you divide up the individual Chronograph sub-dials) and a uniquely coveted gold treated meteorite dial.
They wanted to focus on pulling the youth into watches. Well, id say they succeeded. I dont do alot of swimming, let alone serious diving. Eventho i adore the SKX, I had to think 10 times before buying any kind of serious dive watches. But this lineup is almost perfect. Its 100m, so its not that serious of a dive watch. 42mm, a tad bit large for my wrist but its considered a small size for a diver. Its got that SKX look plus hacking and manual winding. It really is THE watch for me to get into divers watches. Now that ive got the feel of a divers watch, im eager to explore more. Ive been looking around and i think i found the next watch im saving up for..the SPB147. Back to the 5KX, I bought the classic ver btw, SRPD55K1. Love it to bits. I think i might fool around and get the Hulk and the blue aswell. Or one of those with the mesh bracelets. Its a fun lineup
Very true, Seiko are killing it indeed with their new focus, well said. Thank you for sharing that, I hope you get your SPB147 and enjoy it. Best regards, TGV
Hi TGV You’re doing the right thing putting it on a strap. It is indeed a golddish, gold colored gold watch on the bracelet. Bit of a rappers watch. Only the diamonds are missing 😆 On a strap it’s kind of cool - and an unsnobbish funny statement. Amazing what you get for the money with Seiko’s 5 series. So much to choose from, and the liability is more than ok for the money. I would recommend them for anyone who’s not especially a watch enthusiast and not interested in using a fortune on a watch. One could argue that this is where the Japanese brands are doing something that the Swiss brands can’t keep up with. Nice presentation, keep up the good work👍
So true about the value for money and the variety of options available. You hit the nail on the head, the Swiss should learn from this but I know they will never lower those profit margins. There are exceptions of course, Fortis, Squale, Hamilton, Oris etc... Great comment as always, thank you my friend. Best regards, TGV

I love that you have not even mentioned the new Rolex Subs. Unattainable, artificial supply and demand. Love the focus on real watches for real people. Cheers
It looks good with the rubber strap 👍🏽 I got the SRPD79K1 and customised it with a little green as it's the colour of my army unit. Such a great watch and the day date is sublime.
9:00 minutes in. Gaudy as fuck! I love it. Pimping it. Goldmember. I love gooold. Schmoke an pancake? The missus said to me, if you buy that thing, I'll disown you. I'm buying it 😉
The 5KX might be next on my list as I haven't got any Seikos at all. And yes, 100 m is enough for me as well, because I don't dive, yet I should be able to swim while wearing it on my wrist without any problems.
I have purchased the SRPD79K1 this month and I really like the stealth look. It also does not look quite as large as I would have thought on my 6,5 inch wrist. It certainly does not wear that big, maybe because of the black PVD case.
Imagine if you put together all Hugo's intros and made a short movie...maybe named "The Jurassic Gentry"
I am planing that for the end of the year in fact, I love the name BTW, Genius! I might have to use that.

The numerals on that bezel insert though🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👌👌👌👌👌🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
I love that you have not even mentioned the new Rolex Subs. Unattainable, artificial supply and demand. Love the focus on real watches for real people. Cheers
It looks good with the rubber strap 👍🏽 I got the SRPD79K1 and customised it with a little green as it's the colour of my army unit. Such a great watch and the day date is sublime.
Very nice looking watch 👍
Great video as always. Glad to see you get that spirit back!
Looks wonderful on the blue band, great video! Thankyou 👍

Gaudy as fuck! I love it. Pimping it. Goldmember. I love gooold. Schmoke an pancake? The missus said to me, if you buy that thing, I'll disown you. I'm buying it 😉
It does look way classier on the blue rubber strap with matching buckle. Very nice.
I liked the 5kx so much I bought 2...SRPD93 and SPRD55 (w/ dual time batman bezel and strapcode super O bracelet). Great value for money.
The 5KX might be next on my list as I haven't got any Seikos at all. And yes, 100 m is enough for me as well, because I don't dive, yet I should be able to swim while wearing it on my wrist without any problems.
Seiko never disappoints !
I have purchased the SRPD79K1 this month and I really like the stealth look. It also does not look quite as large as I would have thought on my 6,5 inch wrist. It certainly does not wear that big, maybe because of the black PVD case.
Very nice shirt. And the black strap fits the watch very well.

Video top. Intro super. Orologio inguardabile. Pacchiano e assolutamente fuori luogo.
That Hugo is on a rampage! I'm eagerly awaiting the "Revenge of the Governor" in a future video.
Hugo - the answer to the question what would happen if a dinosaur became a mob-boss and later quit to run a lifestyle channel on RUclips.
One can never quit the mob...alive. The lifestyle channel is just a side hustle
Looks so right with the blue rubber strap, good choice. Great fun piece.
