It’s wild to me how some theorycrafters can develop an ego over hoyoverse math like they’re the next to be written in the history books for their contributions to mathematics. Gacha game calculations aren’t rocket science, it’s like calling yourself a programming professional because you’re good at dropping code blocks on a children’s coding platform.
And don’t get me wrong, I appreciate the shit out of theorycrafters who make guides so we don’t have to, but you have to really have nothing good going on in your life to make this your whole personality and wrap your ego around it
theorycrafting is that kind of thing you wouldn't do yourself because it's too tedious and rather google information about building your new character (although yeah, it ain't diablo, its not THAT hard)
at the end of the day, you don't need to minmax your party to complete 30* moc
i guess making content that 99% of the player base wouldn't want to do boosts your ego significantly

I think the whole Eango trolling is a bit far when it's involved itself in drama, especially at this capacity. Sure, it *can* be funny, but this is a person trying to right his wrongs at this point.
Trying to put a wall in front or make someone trip isn't the best solution for everyone as a whole, much less the person trying to better themself... It gets irritating, especially, when you're already under stress.
I have a friend who is an uncontrollable asshole (and they know this). I told them they can shit on me if it's only me because I noticed my other friends really just wanting to stop talking to him full stop! Anyway, nobody else besides myself could take his literal bullshit anymore. The only times I've gone off on him are when I was sick/prior-to-hospital-procedure. Not going to say why he's like this because that's overstepping, it's a private matter, just know it's more serious than "personality" any other single facet answer/solution...
Now, where am I going with this: If you're having a bad day, and someone is pushing all the correct buttons to make you go off, of course at some point you'll freak the fuck out at them or anyone! It builds up like a meter, you ever have that moment where your bad day ends up being you yelling at a loved one despite them not doing anything wrong? Even the nicest, kindest people aren't safe from this. Don't just randomly agitate people you don't know or understand on at least a minor personal level. People have limits and you need to know them before acting this way.

TL;DR: While trolling people who are stressed out and mistake-prone makes for easy targets, it can really lead to even worse, unintentional problems on both ends. Try getting to know them personally (as a friend) at least a little more before hand. Otherwise, you might make them blow the fuck up, or worse.
Best you can ask for is they release their anger on you and not themselves.

@@2oqh, if you're referring to gacha games genre as a whole, I recommend playing Brown Dust 2. Awesome game. High quality. Tons of content (more than HSR) despite being a new game that hasn't even been out that long. And we have a summer event coming. Best swimsuit update to ever be in a gacha. They got both waifus and husbandos.

This TC drama between HP% and cr/cd is so insane to me. If difference between these two builds is less than 5%, then just use what your account got lucky at getting. This is wild to me, it reminds me of early days of genshin when people argued between dps(seconds), dpS(Screenshot), dpr(damage per resin), dpR(damage per rotation) and look at us 3 years later, nobody actually gives a shit what is better. If it clears and gives me all my reward, we can move on. I genuinely didn't expect for Honkai community to go through the same tc bs genshin went through.

Tried both actually, crazy the difference is so little it didn't matter which one to use! My HP build did a lil bit more since I got lucky with the cr/cdm rolls

@@_TheStormThatIsApproaching Yeah all that building HP as a mainstat in your body does is make the process of getting crit stats as a whole harder. But if you get a well rolled HP mainstat body... why not just use it for flexibility purposes?
I'm really glad that maturity won in the end. Props to both Gacha Smack and Guoba for overcoming the nonsense. And hopefully other content creators learned from this too.

He is currently involved in another drama with a smaller creator named zmm on which he falsely accused zmm of not sourcing other creators in zmm's videos but this was proven false by zmm. whats funny is guobas friend artumbo has been stealing and failing to source videos from other content creators yet guoba hasnt called out on him even once.

Tips for CCs out there who has their own discord server/community, never trust them with your life, cus they don't. That platform exist simply to make a bridge between you and them, to interact, to make chemistry. They're not gonna worship you, so don't say anything stupid cus one of them definitely will exposed it to the public.

I'm really glad GachaSmackKing and GuobaBear settled it. It was getting really hot and Guoba is way too young and like everyone when they were young, hard headed. He also wasn't gunna win over his peers the way he acted.
Smack summarized it well, it is ridiculous to argue over a turn based gacha mobile video game characters build and whether the off meta build damage is negligible or not.
Listen, Baldie is good because everyone memes how bad plus hp stat on relics was bad and ruins potentially god relics, now guess what, you want hp rolls.
Crit dmg is better? Yeah but he's saying hp rolls are almost the same baseline.

i really didnt want to take sides, but I think this could have all been avoided if gacha smack just didn't post a whole video to fan the flames over a comment that was already deleted. I don't think guoba was right in posting the comment, like slander of another content creator is bad and imo if you have a problem with their content as another content creator just keep it in the dms, but also like Teccy said, the fact that he deleted it shows a sense of remorse, and imo, the more mature decision would just be to let it be water under the bridge on gacha smack's part. But that wasn't what happened, and imo gacha smack's video and tone of voice was pretty condescending, even if it's supposedly a joke. I don't even consider myself to be on guoba's side, but gacha smack was humiliating guoba over a deleted comment that probably garnered so little attention - that was honestly so painful to watch.
I love Teccy's videos, I think he's absolutely hilarious, but it's difficult to keep following this drama specifically. As a disclaimer: I did not watch this whole video before making this comment and I'm also not on anyone's side. Also just eating popcorn and spectating like Teccy is, except I'm not enjoying the content as much as he is lol

I was about to shit on Guoba's apology and how it didn't seem genuine, but then Teccy said "introverts" and that made me realize, yeah he probably doesn't have enough social interaction to know which parts of his apology weren't... that. But I feel like he really meant what he said and is mostly annoyed by how Eango and Co were trying to troll/bait him into more drama to farm more content. I agree with Teccy on this one. I don't think Eango is transphobic but edgy jokes can go too far especially when it's with someone you DON'T KNOW, who you're leaking dms from and just... he made a wrong move and has to deal with the consequences. I'm going to flex a bit here and admit I went to school and got my degree in mathematics. There was a card game I enjoyed once and had fun crunching some numbers over it. People in the community kept parroting numbers from a spreadsheet that was thrown around about certain deck viability. I reached out to the producer of said spreadsheet to try and make sure we were using similar controlled variables in the deck calculations that were being performed. After confirming the information I shared my findings with the owner and was promptly blocked from communicating with them. I still haven't called them out in the discord server where they continue to publish that information because at the end of the day I was just doing the research for my own benefit. I did share my info 1 on 1 with a few players that were intrigued by my decks(and yes I actually won a pretty big tournament with 1 of them. One of the same ones I number crunched so hard on)
Anyway all that is just to basically say even perceived "smart" people can have egos and also be wrong. This bear guy could be right(about the numbers), but my instincts based on the given interactions....he's not.
I apreciate Tectone being humble and saying that even him would lose viewers if he wasn't covering gacha games (wich is probably true), but I genuinely would watch him playing whatever because I enjoy the way he talks and his storytelling overall

Smack and Guoba settled things nearly perfectly and even have a sit down and talk video to conclude it, great! But where the f*** did Eango come from? Watching Smack's "Double downed" video even then I was like, "why are you leaking, even if you leaked them already letting it be out there even more isn't a good look." Then he made this shitty joke and is now blaming Guoba for literally responding with "respect to you and your content but that joke was too far for me" and left it there. And it sounds like Eango and this Andreana are also saying "why are you not aware that Andreana is trans and its a joke?" WHY SHOULD HE KNOW THAT?!?!?!?! It's not even okay to say those jokes in public anyways and you aren't Guoba's friend so why should he tolerate any soft of out of pocket joke that he's not cool with? Guoba's response, to me, felt responsible and seemed like he learned from his mistakes but Eango and his community are troll baiting, DM leaking and even accusing Guoba of defamation of him (Eango).

I'm not a fan of the edgy humor from Eango generally, but as an LGBT myself, I watched Eangos VOD and I do think the context was lost a little. Andreana was trolling Guoba beforehand saying ridiculous things like 'She desperately needs Guobas help cause Eango will dock her pay if she and her theorycrafting team can't come up with the same Blade build damage numbers in time', and Eango was just playing off her trolling with an equally ridiculous comment playing into that asshole boss bit, it was a bit of co-op trolling on their part and from his VOD i got the vibe that she thought it was funny.
My feeling is I don't think it was out-of-pocket on like the -phobic side of things, but it was probably a bit far on the trolling guoba side of things. Even if I think it was pretty obvious they were messing with him, but I think guoba just is bad at picking up on those social cues. Also of course that now very real problem of the message being taken out of context and being perceived as a serious statement.
+ Frankly I think Eango has said arguably worse things outright before like the r word and the borderline xenophobic jokes, so I think it's a bit silly he's getting shit on this of all things. 😅

@@karonuva I don't really care about the joke itself, maybe it was alright or too far, but my problem is that he and his mod came to Guoba to just troll, in HIS drama. It doesn't matter that Guoba may be "bad at picking up on those social cues" over online text, he felt uncomfortable and called it out which is the right thing to do, not continue a joke that he didn't want to be a part it. And so the "context," in my opinion, changes nothing of the fact that Eango was messing in the business of two CC's drama just to get content/reaction/more drama (idk which).
I'm not saying it's bad to take things into context, I'm just saying that Guoba provided enough context, in my opinion, to justify his uncomfortablility and his need to state this at the end of his video, because in a way, Eango made himself part of the drama. And it doesn't matter how funny a joke is if everyone isn't laughing with you.
Finally, you say he made worse jokes, so what? He finally got held responsible for somethings that shouldn't be said on a (somewhat big) platform and that should be seen as silly? Just because he got away with it doesn't mean he didn't do it nor should it deter from him being called out on it. Just because he got called out now, doesn't make the past jokes any less worse, I mean you said it yourself, they were worse. And hey, believe me, I say edgy jokes with my friends all the time because WE find them funny and have been for a long time, this doesn't mean when I talk to a person for the first time I try to land those types of jokes because that's not cool. That's exactly what Eango and his mod did and that's the part that really pisses me off, when he is defensive that someone didn't "get" the joke (at first) or when they think that you are this type of person because of the joke you made (which Guoba mentioned in the comments in Eango's VOD), well, what else does he have to go of off? Guoba doesn't have to watch his content or know his people or their situations because he isn't a fan (clearly stated) and didn't have much contact with them outside of these few DMs.
AND HE LITERALLY SAID, HIMSELF THAT HE WAS "a wildcard that re-instigated it!" So he had no business in this and just wanted to get in the way of two CCs who just wanted to end their drama responsibly, and even make up as friends. So maybe Guoba, Smack, Eango and Teccy should get in a call and solve this BS too!

Clearly I also didn't mean I thought it's silly eango is getting criticism, if you weren't so keen to misread you'd understand I meant it's silly that people ignored his way worse edgy comments and only started to shit on him for something that was misrepresented. My point being I'd rather someone actually get shit for the actual bad things that they did.

i feel like every normal person would have thought deleting the comment would be the end of it, maybe this is me being anti-social (or not american), but going to Gachas DMs & apologizing instantly after deleting the comment, is some 200 points maxxed out Social-awareness type shit, i can't really blame him for not thinking of that. Idk, you would expect people to know people make mistakes sometimes, and deleting the comment would be equivalent as to saying "i didnt mean it" so this is where Guoba fucked up, because when Gacha rightfully held him responsible, he took it the wrong way, only seeing it as him getting counter-attacked, like he just slapped Clara in the face lmao, and Gacha is just creating Drama for views and shit, creating hate towards him, which then actually did happen with eango sending his trolls over to Guobas discord to stir up even more drama.
There's an awful lot of ego in the community just for having a basic understanding of math, a pirated copy of Microsoft Excel, and a couple of spare hours. I did sub to Gacha Smack though, he has earned it.
