- Established in 1965, The Cambridge Folk Festival is an annual summer music festival held in Cherry Hinton, England (a village part of the city of Cambridge) on the site of Cherry Hinton Hall. The festival is known for its eclectic mix of music.
In Spring 1999, James embarked on a European Tour which included stops in several countries including Germany, France, Italy, Norway, Ireland. On August 1, 1999 he appeared at The Cambridge Folk Festival.

This man is a music savant. He is such a talented singer and performer. A gift for the ages.
James's voice calms my soul
I was 20 when I first heard of James. I was downtown Waterbury Conn. walking up East Main Street across from the Green. The song was coming out of a passing car. Fire and Rain...I still remember what I heard James sing, Lord knows when the cold wind blows it'll turn your head around. Funny how certain things remain with you forever. And the cold wind is still blowing on me 54 years later.
Cleveland's Arnold McCuller has been singing with JT forever!

You can’t imagine the number of nights when You were all that was between me and total despair. I survived, loss, divorce while listening to your lessons. I shared the joy of my youth with my Daughter. When she formed her own band in the mid-2000s, she included You’ve got a friend, just for me.

JT & his band always puts on a stellar performance! We have seen them in several states across the country. Awesome to see his son Henry singing with him at the recent concerts. The apple never falls far from the tall tree! We'll continue to go to his concerts until my final day. A gift to my son that can never be taken away.
