Another nice tutorial. With regards to the speed hack, Photoshop users can open up a secondary window of their project so you can zoom in on the primary window for the details whilst still checking the overall "big picture" in the secondary window which cuts out having to zoom in and out :)
This channel has changed my whole art career. Thank you so much for all of the tips, it has helped me improve with both digital and traditional art substantially! - an eternal art nerd ♥📝🤓
Here’s a weird question, if I were to strictly recreate what I see in my reference (which in this case would be a photograph), wouldn’t that classify my artwork as photorealistic?
Drawing the apple in Krita the video was in photoshop was challenging. I loved that they said not to expect perfection because I would have given up ❤❤❤
what about rendering and the hues and the incredible stuff godly artists are doing? would we mayhaps expect a lesson on those soon? I've been having trouble with rendering. This one is incredible to get me started, tho i am still looking around for full-on rendering tutorials
Some things that I would suggest to beginners (as a beginner myself): Avoid using extra layers. For a traditional look you'll want to stay within one layer, especially if you're still in the learning phase. Set your reference to black and white. At this stage you're training yourself to see values, not colour. Colour can be added later, values are what sell the idea.
Don't take this to heart cuz I'm not an expert, but I usually do the things separately and then join them together, twicking it till it looks combined and togethwr- But references def help alot to get it to your liking :)

It's easy to give-up, it takes courage to persevere!
