With In Rainbows being my favorite RH album… I somehow didn’t make the connection. Too right about the growers… many of the songs I was unsure of… after a few listens… became my faves

Saw them in Manchester on Friday. Amazing live. Similar to TKOL, the live versions have more energy and kick.

Funny your parallel between Free in the Knowledge and The Bends. It does give me a a Fake Plastic Trees kind of vibe at times. Especially both songs having a kind of falsetto crescendo towards the end.
Love the groove tracks on this album - The Opposite, The Smoke, and Thing Thing. All remind me of Identikit from AMSP.
Yes! I thought a lot about "Identikit" on this one too, including the guitar work.
Not trying to be rude, but was this kid alive when TKOL was released? At least the kid knows good music when he hears it.
