I just met Jonny last week in Richmond, VA on The Smile tour. Thom, Jonny & Tom all did an meet and greet autograph signing after the show if you stuck around and waited in line for an extra hour. It was awesome! Dream come true. Apparently they've been doing this the whole US tour
And if you look over here you can see Jonny Greenwoods long lost brother jamming the fuck out Seriously. Fantastic work. Sounds identical to the album.
Hello, could you possibly show us what notes you're playing without the delay bcs i think that would help because I am struggling with the distorted bit. Thank you and great work!
To anyone trying to figure this out without that delay pedal, 774 miliseconds is the key thing. If you have a DAW with a delay plugin that can accept delay time in ms, just put in 774. It takes a moment to get used to it, but once you do, you can lock in to the rhythm. The other key part is the percussive slapping of the strings on every other beat. Your right hand should essentially be going up and down between each plucked note. It's a real brain bender, but that's Jonny...
Great cover and good tutorial. I wish you could zoom on your right hand and play slowly without delay first because I’m still struggling with the pattern and the way you hit strings with your thumb .😩
The setting is below. MODE:1〜3 BASS:12(o'clock) TREBLE:12 REVERB VOLUME:not in use REPEAT RATE:not in use(I use TAP pedal to set the delay time) INTENSITY:7 ECHO VOLUME:5
habra un delay menos complicado de conseguir con el cual se pueda conseguir lo mismo, ¿dd 20? desde que escuche esta canción me encanta y he querido tocarla un tutorial estaria muy bien, gracias
@@ForrestGreenYT First of all, I use "Long Mode" basically. And these are my basic setting. Bass : 12(O'clock) Treble : 12 Reverb : from 12 to 2 Repeat Rate : Using the Tap pedal Intensity : Min Echo Volume : Max Mode selector : 1 or 2 Input Volume : Max

Incredibly well done 👍 Are you using the SD-1 for the overdrive? I think I saw somewhere he had the OD-3 on his board for The Smile gigs. Not sure though.
That's almost correct. My understanding is that he used OD-3 when they performed at Glastonbury 2021. In 2022's gig, he should have replaced OD-3 to SD-1.
To me, Jonny Greenwood is the most creative guitarist in the history of music.
Okay can’t forget thurston Moore. Graham coxon. Just to mention a couple there’s too many greats out there
"Most creative" is such a silly label.
Agreed

Hi ! Is it possible to do the same thing with the Space Echo ? If it's possible do you know the settings ?
Thank you and thank you for your videos !!
The setting is below.
MODE:1〜3
BASS:12(o'clock)
TREBLE:12
REVERB VOLUME:not in use

INTENSITY:7
ECHO VOLUME:5
@@FluffyMomo Than you very much !!
Blimey!
Amazing demo, thanks. Can you share your pedalboard and chain set up? Thanks
Would you rather having the RE-20 or the BOSS DD-200? I'm in doubt of which I should buy.
If I were you, I think I get RE-20 first. BC the Space Echo is the one and only.
@@FluffyMomo thank you my friend
Well Done!!!

🤯 nice work, fella! Is it possible to do this without the boss pedal? Maybe with the space echo?
Sure! I used to do it with RE20.
@@FluffyMomo what settings did you have for the RE20? I’m new to this pedal and could really use some help :]

I often buy used gear at a lower price. At a website like Ebay or something.
What's your budget?
@@FluffyMomo Thanks for your response! I'd say $180 to almost $200 dolars, we have very high importation taxes :_
@@juanmaciel5674 How about DD-20? Is it expensive too? I highly recommend the delay pedal which can be set with a numerical value.

GOOOOOOOOOO FASTER !!!!!
Taka, I can confirm. It does make your fingers bleed
did the smile buy the riff from you?
wicked
Min 1:33 woooooooooow what a sound :o
do you have your own songs?
where in the chain do you have the dd200?
Gtr > TU3 > DD200
Can I use DD-3 only?
Probably yes👌

What distortion or fuzz did you use?
BOSS SD-1
