    IR suppression does not work on both ends yet. Your IR number will drop but the drop will not register with your target.

    This ship is a OP menace. There's no way to counter it and takes zero skill to use. It has the best interceptor tuning in the game (IE it can fly at 1400 m/s and has some of the best acceleration in the game), it has stealth, and it is a very strong missile boat. You might argue "oh but it's not good in a dogfight" and you'd be right. But here's the problem: no ship is fast enough to force a dogfight. During jumptown there has been no way of dealing with anyone using these ships. They are hard to find and even when you find them they just run and nothing can catch them. It's simply unbalanced and OP and takes zero skill to use.
    CIG made a huge mistake to give this ship the stats it has. They need to make it slower maybe like 1200m/s max. It's the only way to balance that it's stealthy and a strong missile boat. The counter to this ship needs to be light and medium fighters... currently there is none.
    You could argue "use countmeasures" and I do and I can avoid most of the missiles but when they send 6 at a time at you in 4 sets... then imagine there are two of them. That's 12 missiles every few seconds. And they are all size 3s so against the ships that are suppose to counter them that's going to kill them in maybe 2 hits.
    You cannot avoid that many missiles forever. Size 3s also don't give up tracking you for a while now.. they will keep coming back even after you've evaded them.

      You can avoid it easily. I know this because a Corsair whipped my ass. He flared constantly and not a single missile hit him and then he nuked me with 2 hits.
      Having said that, here is the problem. Cig listens to people like you and then the nerf hammer comes. They did the same with the Ares series even though there was proof of how to easily avoid them and kill them. Most players like you pew pew but with no real mindset or skill on the way to counter. I am not picking on you, I have seen it for years in lots of games. Then they can never get it fixed because it was fine to begin with. You just had to approach it differently.
      So you thrust up fast spam flares and walla, no missiles. It annoys me that I even have to tell you that.
      As far as Jumptown you use tactics, literally have scouts above ( which there should be) . Again what you said was incorrect about no Dog fighter. The Bucc is not just has fast but has a fAster scm speed than the firebird. I mean for fack sakes at least try and think ahead, before spewing bs.
      Lastly about the missiles none stop tracking you. That is also a lie. You can avoid not most not some but al just on what I said above. Because the flares mess them up and it is to tight for them to even hit you.
      Your own argument was I can avoid most of them and you do. Imagine 2 of anything 2 of your ships and one firebird and you use the tactics I said. So even though you can avoid most of them they need to nerf it incase there is 2 firebirds is your argument. What if you have 2 Hornets! I am sure you could deal with that with ease. There are no flares for an onslaught of bullets.

      They both of you are clueless. I've been playing this game since 2015 and I'm an avid and skilled combat pilot of ships of all types. Corsair just dumped flares and most of the missiles (or all) took the bait. Countermeasures do not always work and sometimes you have to evade. If a corsair got close enough to get in guns range and dumped flares then you deserved to die. That's not proving anything other that you have the skill issue. I was playing against 3 pilots all in firebirds that where not very good dogfighting pilots that were smart however. They kept careful watch for anyone approaching them and hauled ass if anything dangerous got too close to them. A corsair would of stood no chance at all. If you guys can't see the issue here then it's really you that have a skill issue.
      That said I'm only suggesting they nerf the speed down to 1200 m/s so that interceptors can actually catch them. They should not have impunity. That's not balanced. Sorry if you will be butt hurt about it if it's nerfed but it needs one. I'm not suggesting a nerf to anything other than top speed. I know they can die if you can get your hands on one. Not even suggesting they nerf the speed much, 1200 m/s is still faster than most ships.

      @@csdigitaldesign First you have zero clue how long I have played. But lets say sense 2012, it does not matter. The flight mecahnics even the game itself has changed drastically over the years. So saying you have played ex amount years means crap.
      Secondly you will die by a firebird. There are so many varying factors and I have killed a many. Not AI real players and it seems corsair is a very populae ship.
      If you were able to avoid 3 firebirds I find that extremly suspect. But again varying degrees of skill and even server issues.
      Yes faster than most but not all. There are checks and balances in many facets. But to proclaim no dog fighting ship is fast was a lie or ignorant.
      It takes nearly all the missiles to take out a corsair and at best a stale mate. Has nothing to do with butt hurt. But everything to do with incorrect information based off that info.

      @@CopperRavenProductions you obviously don't fly a corsair if you think it takes nearly all 24 missiles to take one out. I've used the firebird and I've fought against them. They are OP and it comes down to the fact they are simply too many roles at once. No other ship is a stealth interceptor missile boat. The best way I can think of to balance that is to bring it down to light fighter speeds instead. Just like the other ship like this one, the Talon Shrike. I don't think the Shrike is OP... because you can catch it. You can't catch the firebird because it's literally one of the fastest ships in the game. Not even with another inteceptor. Nothing you can say will fix that issue.

      I went canons, my theory is my missiles will kill any small ship. SO for me it does not make sense to have faster but weaker guns. If my missiles do not finish off a large slow ship, I just use those.

      Because with this setup you can kill PVP and PVE targets. Canons are much slower.

    its to weak vs C2 an ships in the heavy class its only usefull vs mediums an under so useless to me they need to upgrede that to size 4 missiles an some size 5
