I still remember the first time she played this song, I cried (dying in childbirth is a massive fear of mine) so my sister showed me the music video to reassure me, the "girl" survives, running after Johnny and their son as they go fishing in the very last scene. God granted his request. The song still makes me ache in my chest. I cannot imagine losing my husband. I just can't.

She's still here and we've been married 23 yrs.

When I was a little kid we used to go to an old woman's house, we called her Granny though we weren't related. We'd meet another family there and me and my sisters would play with their young son and three daughters. My mom and dad stood up for their mom and dad at their wedding. We quit going when I was 7 or 8. When I was 28 or so I met a woman at work. We got to know each other then became friends and went out on a date. Turns out she was the older sister of the three. A year later we were married. 24 years later she passed leaving me with a daughter and two beautiful grand kids. It can happen.
