This video is terrible, but I have seen them live and let me to tell this video is no where near the real thing, one of the best live bands I have ever seen.

Yeah, it would seem he forgot quite a few of them... In all fairness, the song was next to brand new, so he probably didn't have it completely memorized yet.

Ivan may not have sounded his best, but he, and the rest of 5FDP deserved a better audience. These guys played their heart out for 15 people.
i have never seen these guys live, im not too impressed. they need to fire their sound guy too..

And I think there wasn't any problem with sounding.
You know It's different if you watch it on YT or you listen them live.

dude i went and saw 5fdp live a few months ago and it was amazing. they don't use a ton of pyrotechnics so if that's what u qualify as "awesome" then probs not ur style. but they just get the crowd going nuts and its amazing dude

Dont' normally listen to them, but hell man, with the Metal God Himself, they have a hit with me. Can't blame the guy for being nervous, he's on stage with a Legend.
Agreed, they were the best-sounding band on the main stage at Mayhem this year.

I wonder if people have seen OTHER bands play live besides these...they sounded pretty damn close to the studio version. You have no idea how hard it is to scream/growl and then quickly do cleans in a chorus. Some bands do it really well, such as bullet for my valentine and avenged sevenfold. But you have to keep in mind that they've been around for 15 years. These guys are still fairly new, and they did well. Back off, damn.
ive heard them live and they are just amazing!!! this vid does not due them justice but I have to say from experience you HAVE to see them live. they are just amazing live just like their CDS. so if u think they are bad live they are NOT. its just this vid idk why it sounds bad :(

Ivan and Jason are singing different lyrics during the chorus, because Ivan got the lyrics wrong. Way to go Jason, for performing the song live for the first time, getting the lyrics right, and playing the lead guitar really well.

I have to disagree with most comments, I think Rob's vocals are getting even stronger for metal itself, The live version not so much, but on the album, I could still tell it was him b4 I ever heard the song and his voice sounds so powerful. Ofcourse its not what it used to be high pitched, but it has this natural growl to it now, I like it.

The sound here did suck - nothing to do with 5FDP's soundman. They're famous for sounding amazing live. This is always a problem at the Golden Gods. Ivan Moody is perhaps the best frontman in metal today.
Yeah that's true. I remember Trivium did a cover of Creeping Death, sounded not so great, but with Rob Flynn and Corey Taylor, it should have been like, the most amazing live performance of that song ever
Andrew Johnson They need to fix that. The Golden Gods is a big award show - it's pretty important for the performances to sound good.
Could just be the way they record it. That being said, Metallica manage to record every show on every tour, so again, no excuses
is quite a stretch saying he is the best frontman in metal today. the guy is out of tune and out of pitch most of times and i'm not only judging from this video, i've already seen them live and tons of other youtube videos. i have to say they have quite an energy when playing live but the singer is just ok, nothing out of this world. FFDP is an amazing studio band though.

This was before the song was officially out and before they got it all completely down. That or it's the fact he normally changes lyrics once in a while. It was the very first performance of the song.
Love this song, but I don't think this was a very good performance. Not sure that the sound guy helped with that either
I swear that people who disagree on music videos on youtube usually rage more than anyone I have ever seen. You have a lot of anger, need to vent it somehow without doing it online.
Rob Halford is so badass, that he's 61 year old, walking with a cane, but still a fucking beast of a man.
Every band will change a few lyrics and the song depending on the environment they're in or who they're doing something with now they didn't know him to change him on purpose

Chris Kael the bass player usually sings the hooks on backgrounds.
Though in the studio version I believe the sound good together. I will say with age Rob can't do everything he use to do back in his prime but he gives it all he can.

Never blame the sound guy on what u hear on your headphones. The acoustics in that room are very different, also theres a crowd in there which changes the sound. Also they are using a f*cking expensive audioset, which may sound very different as what u are used to. Trust me, I'm an audio engineer. RUclips vids are mostly not remastered en the audio lines are just as they were send to the speakers live.

Ivan is definitely one of the best, but i personally think the best is david draiman, when i saw them live, his sang absolutely perfect, but Ivan is definitely one of the best, as for rob, no argument necessary.
