    Missed out The Star on North Street. Probably where I had my first pint 40+ years ago 😳

      Yes you're absolutely right in fact I missed the basement pub out it used to be under what is now wetherspoons the star pub on North Street in on the Green pub that's where William Hill betting shop is on top part of low street the Kings Arms on church Street demolished the golden fleece low street also demolished

    Funny you should say Woodhouse pub we went in there when I was under age to officially drink in the early 70s better times 😊😊

    About 8 years since I walked part over the moors from Nelson to Howarth then Keighley, I had half in every pub that was open, so I went in a few of them. First was the Old Silent Inn, last was the Cavendish, the then bus to Colne...for a few more beers

    We whent in the speak easy in the early 70s every week you had to wear a tie and a suit jacket at least in them days miss those happy Times 😊😊

      Yes indeed you're absolutely right and I think 🤔 you had to be 21 shirt and tie no jeans plus shoes no trainers! that's if I remember rightly.

    The Albion used to do fabulous Christmas parties for members children I was one of the kids😅
