Yes you're absolutely right in fact I missed the basement pub out it used to be under what is now wetherspoons the star pub on North Street in on the Green pub that's where William Hill betting shop is on top part of low street the Kings Arms on church Street demolished the golden fleece low street also demolished
About 8 years since I walked part over the moors from Nelson to Howarth then Keighley, I had half in every pub that was open, so I went in a few of them. First was the Old Silent Inn, last was the Cavendish, the then bus to Colne...for a few more beers

This sounds like a great day! it's good to start reminiscing remembering occasions like this one in particular
We whent in the speak easy in the early 70s every week you had to wear a tie and a suit jacket at least in them days miss those happy Times 😊😊
Yes indeed you're absolutely right and I think 🤔 you had to be 21 shirt and tie no jeans plus shoes no trainers! that's if I remember rightly.
Before we came to NZ in 1962 my dad used to drink at the Globe 😊
My brother had his afternoon wedding reception at the globe
We went in the vine a lot in the 70s Denis was the land lord
The Albion used to do fabulous Christmas parties for members children I was one of the kids😅
