Thomas always complains about the BMW dash board being the same throughout all of the series, but I actually like that they do it that way. I have a 3 series and an X5 and I love that I didn't have to learn two different setups.

Range Rover used to be its close competitor but they have fallen way behind. I own one they suck
G wagon will hold alot more value especially after 30k miles. I love beemers but they dont do right by their customers

@Lil_LyriX I haven't had any problems with my m4 of my f86 x6m but bmw makes their outgoing models obsolete so they depreciate quicker than any other german brand. I'll never purchase a bmw again because of that alone

Very first Throttle House video I’ve ever watched, and I’ve came back to watch it. Such a great video with two of my favorite German cars!
Neither reviewer mentioned the biggest virtue of the G-wagen, the amazing view outward. The A-pillars are fairly narrow and the huge vertical windshield gives a panoramic view unlike any other vehicle I've been in.
When you can compare the g wagon to the bmw x7 you should do ford mondeo vs m5 COMPETIOTION next

Speaking from someone who works at a BMW dealership, the X750i is a fantastic car to drive. It’s very easy to maneuver, is quick (sounds good too), and extremely comfortable. The interior lighting is spectacular at night. It drives much smaller than it is.

Im in dubai at the moment, it’s truly insane how many new G classes there are, its unreal. But the savvy boi gets an x7.
Looking back, I actually think I was a bit harsh on the x7’s grille. It’s definitely a larger grille, but the car is large too, so it kinda balances out. The new m3, m4, and 4 series in the other hand, oof. Black is prolly the best color for any of those since it will make the grille blend into the body better.
The new G wagon is AWESOME. I have one. Worth every penny.

How come? 2014. Mercedes G 500 original price was $120k , now super clean examples (low milage, 1 owner, full service history) sell for $70k. That's $50k lost on a car in 5 years (almost 50% of it's value). Please don't buy a Mercedes G wagon if you don't need it for off-road because everything that makes it good off-road makes it bad on-road.

The biggest difference between these cars:
When you tell someone about ur x7, you'll talk about ur cooled/heated cup holders, automated cargo/passenger maximization, personalized climate control, hight adjustable air suspension, driver confidence etc.
When you have a G Wagon, you say: "I have a G Wagon" and the conversation ends.
This is not to say the G wagon is better, on paper, the BMW is the far superior road going transport at a cheaper cost, but the G Wagon's reputation and road presence proceed it.

I'm always going to be biased towards bmw because i've drove all their high-end vehicles and it's an otherworldly experience. BMW is miles ahead of their competition and people don't realize it until they fire it up and drive. It's unreal how much technology goes into their new line of vehicles. Furthermore, when you see a new bmw on the road, the white halo's demand respect. Their headlights are the centerpiece of all BMW cars. I would even argue that BMW has taken the title of "king of the road" from Mustangs. The halo's just look very aggressive and attractive.

The correct comparison for a G Wagon is either a Land Rover Discovery or Toyota Land Cruiser / Lexus GX.

@@Thigrandil It's the giant nostrils. My coworker normally drives an Alpina 7 Series or S65, but when he got his wife the new X7, he brought it to work one day. Those giant hairy nostrils just kill it. Otherwise, it was a nice ride, my Lexus looked like a Ford Pinto in comparison. I haven't watched this whole video yet, but those things have this smartkey that has to be charged like a smartphone. I think it's an option, not a standard key.

G wagon has tons of character and class. BMW X7 looks like something my granny would adore. Nuff said.
It would be better if the chrome grill of x7 is replaced with carbon frame. The vertical lines may be made more broad. The park light may be replaced with horizontal stretching lites parallel to headlights, and the part of the bumper also made more bulky

Me and my husband literally own these two cars, G65 and BMW X7M, and after getting a bmw we are getting rid of g waggon. it looks cool and it’s gangsta, but doesn’t come any close to a bmw drive! x7m is the best car we’ve ever owned, fast and smooth, drives like a knife on the butter

I drove a G63 once and I have to say the feeling you gte in it just hits different.It's the same with all G-Classes. You don't really have that SUV Feeling, but a luxurious Offroad Vehicle. It has so much charme, you can't really beat the G-Class for me. I always said I would never buy a SUV (If I had much or even enough money) but the G-Class changed my mind. Would buy the G-Class if I wasn't so darn broke
