I wish they had this 10 years ago! It took me way too long to figure out all the windows/drivers/cable issues just to use a $20 UV-5R 😭

Can it also use the standard Baofeng cable and chirp?
If not, not a good idea.

Honestly IDK. Some sellers include the cable however, part of the allure is that you don't need it. Thanks for the watch and comment 👍

Yes, I used Chirp to program my H8 2nd Gen. I used the MIRKIT FTDI USB programming cable not the standard Baofeng one, so not sure on that part.

    Thanks for the presentation.
Interesting idea. $60 is not that cheap. I got 2 uv-5r for $50. But then yeah you need a cable.

I support your freedom to choose. Ham Radio has infinite options, for better or worse 😄

Stop promoting Chinese garbage radios... The stuff is trash. You do a big disservice to the ham community. Buy Icom, Yeasu or Kenwood hell even pickup a Motorola .

☝️ One of the downsides of ham radio is the sad hams who judge you for not thinking like them and/or spending 10x more than you need to. Point and laugh at them
