First Day out with the Xiegu G90!

first time testing out the G90. Tuned up a 33' EFHW and an Unun to get a great match on all bands. Heardba few contacts later and eventually made my first, on 20m. See the next video after this one for that.

They are good little radios, I've talked all over the world on 20 watts and a wire...and those G90 tuners will tune a coat hanger! VA3IRF, (Nice to see your setup!)

You have almost no power output. Check your mic gain setting and put the compressor on.

Jan is right. Your microphone is not driving the radio to full power. Compression and Mike gain need to be adjusted to have a chance to be heard. But the band may be dead. Nothing you can do about that.

​@@N9XYHey noob question here. I was trying to make contacts on my g90, but when I key the mic I don't get any levels bouncing on the screen like Ibsee in other g90 vids. This video is what my g90 looks like when trying to transmit. You think its mic gain issue?
