Federer is a beautiful player and will always be the most popular in terms of entertainment but to say he’s the goat is laughable. People were acting as if federer was out of his prime when he was fucking 31 lmao. Novak and nadal never complained about age in their early 30s. Novak is obviously the goat and nadal the second best with federer in third.
Nadal's the GOAT on Clay. Djokovic's the GOAT overall. Federer's simply overrated in comparison with Nadal/Djokovic, even though he had the biggest talent. In individual sports, especially if the 3 greatest players of all time play in the same era, in the same tournaments competing against each other, you simply can't fight against numbers. Even on Grass (which is basically just 1 tournament) Djokovic > Federer due to the H2H. How can you say that Federer>Djokovic on grass if he couldn't beat him in 3 Wimbledon finals ? What makes him better ? More wins against inferior players in Halle or whatever ? Djokovic doesn't even compete in any Grass tournaments besides Wimbledon since like 2010. If he did, he'd won a lot more matches and titles.
More titles and higher win percentage on the surface. Gotta go by that. Also most Wimbledon Titles. The head to head was 3-1 and very close to being 2-2. Not trying to start an argument but it seems obvious. By your logic Jiri Vesely is better than Djokovic.
@@tennisoutlook7571 Even so it's only due to the fact that Federer played Halle every year and got easy wins there, impossible to lose = more wins and more win%. That one more Wimbledon title is what can get the argument in Federer's favour, but if you compare it with H2H in the finals it's hard to pick Roger. H2H works in such examples, not the Vesely one. If I want to determine the better grass player (which I am pointing out again is just Wimbledon) between Novak and Roger and I have 3 Wimbledon finals with them in it to look at with just 1 guy winning all of them, I am going to pick that guy. H2H works fine as an argument when you're looking at serious rivalries.

Fed is the goat specifically on grass. Overall goat you have to go by the numbers and I would agree with you.
I think to say Novak is the GOAT is forgetting over the last 5+ years he has been playing without either of Roger or Rafa being at peak fitness.
