Man, Google scares me sometimes. I searched "how to replace a 3.5 mm jack on headphones" and your video came up first... I have those exact headphones!! I've never had them anywhere near this computer, nor have I researched anything about them!! Great video!
You gave me enough info to carefull rip apart and refurbish my secondary speaker 3.5 jack that suddenly stopped. I've got a new easy to work with one on the way but I did a temporary fix by slicing open the one I had and rewiring. That was tricky and I got the channels backwards but the way I'm setup I can temporarily just swap the speakers. Thank you so much for this, it helped me get things working while I wait on the backup and when it gets here I'll be chopping the wires and doing this all the right way- just had to get my speakers working while I wait for new part!
Ciao Techscrew DIY e grazie per il video. Iscrizione e like fatti. Antonio
I also have this headphone, but now when I connect it to my phone, it is not working. I have checked on many mobile phones. Does this headphone not work in mobile? Or there is something wrong with his pan, how can I fix it 😭
Lol all of these videos have a jack that can unscrew and I live in a country that has never even seen or heard of that concept. Time to save up 150$ for a new headset instead.
replace the jack is a headphone repair. What is so complicated about soldering 3 wires ? Have you ever faced really difficult and hard things in your life ? Try and you'll be surprised how easy it is.
@@Ahmad-m1h4o A new soldering iron tool kit costs less than $20, and you can use it for a lifetime to repair many cables. This way, you save a lot of money by not buying new items, while also saving the world and your time.

This guy got all the tools and devices to repair the tiniest components of earphone. Wonder what else he's able to repair. Keep it up, bro!
thanks, but I only know how to repair and build custom wires, electronics like mobile phones or TVs are unknown to me.

Thank you so much! Saved me a lot of money!

hey dude, is there's did u upload any video about basic soldering tips. i really need this
i try make series about basic for headphone repair :)
I have what seems like 3 wires but on jack it was soldered on 4 points .. also my headphones are with mic so that explains 4 points but not 3 wires
this video is for stereo repair, for headphones with mic repair look this video - ruclips.net/video/VgY7V2SSMqo/видео.html
great finally maybe I will be able to buy good quality jack..
definitely, a good jacket is the key for good repair.
Can I cut more than 2cms away from the jack?
My problem is the 3.5 mm female port of my home theatre is shorted and i am getting only mono sound..How to fix this ?
what is the home theatre model?
Teardown that subwoofer and unsolder broken socket, then just solder to board contacts 3.5mm audio cable with female socket on cable.
wonderful. thanks
hello in my audio technica i have only 1 blue wired and 2 withouth colour. wich one is wich one ?
you can use multimeter to check wires or just open headphone side where come in cable and look where cables connected.
@@TechscrewDIY i don't have multimeter, and the hedphone side we cant open it ...

Thanks ❤
Definitely going to get another view in a week from me
thanks and good luck :)

just repair :)
u need to check ohms
Why do I have 4 cables instead of 3 on my cable?
it's not problem, just check wires with multimer. I think the two wires are for ground.
welp i aint got that gothic sister , guess i cant go on...
I don't have a gothic sister idk what to do now
good question :)
Can’t I just pay you to do it for me 😭
Shipping both way to latvia cost more, than headphones themself. What exactly didn't work for you ? It's easier than baking lasagne
@@TechscrewDIY I’ve tried this is the Past and horrible failed (can’t solder lol) BUT found some screw on adapters that look promising
@@TechscrewDIY can’t bake lasagne either. Lol. Anyway, great job man. Professional quality fix on your end
@@JJLARAAin the future I plan to make some videos on basic soldering tips - thanks and good luck :)
check left and right channels before you glue it up or just use electrical tape :)
If the channels are messed up, the easiest solution is to swap the wires inside the headphone body rather than reinstalling the 3.5mm jack.
Why tf would you do this instead of just adding the removable cable mod?
yes, i also has removable cable mod ruclips.net/video/rHD2juoZq9o/видео.html

yea, good luck :)
That's the plug, not jack. 🤤😖🤣
what's the difference, also i hear about connector ?
that's not easy. why assume?
it's easy, if you have two arms and all fingers.
Please change your title to 'How to REPLACE...'. Because you're not repairing, you're replacing the jack. And BTW, it's not easy.
replace the jack is a headphone repair. What is so complicated about soldering 3 wires ? Have you ever faced really difficult and hard things in your life ? Try and you'll be surprised how easy it is.
