Misery loves company. Every day you are eating, living, and getting help from your common law judiciary, the piles of trash you voted to export onto other countries put people, even children at risk of death. For nothing except it makes your living cheaper to not include the costs on the US GDP.
Some people hunt to eat, some people hunt for sport. Jurors, are much more the latter. The LEGISLATION is that spreading this democracy and jury system and these little sparks of joy with it, is a US prerogative, so, have fun feeling about it morally however you please. Perhaps if you'll take cues form Rwanda you could 'vote' for better jurors as well, and be super extra democratic by bringing that firepower into your own neighborhood for once. Strange fruits grow from the poplar trees.

(The mother did appear with Wang's cousin on the witness stand during the trial however.) Wang was killed on the eve before Chinese New Year. It is a very important day in Chinese culture where family members travel to get together to celebrate and close out the year. The family had to cancel their Chinese New Year's Eve celebration. In Western culture, it is the equivalent of a death on the eve before Christmas and canceling Christmas celebrations altogether. And also by labor of people like foreign children harvesting you chocolate, in thanks to getting "democratized" and not much else. So who knows, they might have their OWN jury duty, and their own disappointment that prisoners in prison don't have it any worse than the ones outside.
Keep that in mind while you deploy military heroes that cost you hundreds of dollars a day while the prisons make profit, not losses, and when you thank them for dying but not without taking others with them.

She is Peter Wang's cousin. Her aunt is Wang's mother. She is speaking for Wang's mother who doesn't speak English. From this day forward, the eve before Chinese New Year will always be a reminder of her son's murder and any plans to celebrate Chinese New Year will be cancelled.

@@808Fee I’m not “attacking” the jurors at all. Taking a life shouldn’t be an easy decision. That animal decided to take the lives, hope and safety from thousands if not more people. Upwards of four students committed suicide from that school since that attack. He’s STILL taking lives. How is it that we can tolerate this behavior? How long before this directly happens to you or your loved ones? What will you do to protect the ones you love? Send them to school with a nut free sandwich and bullet proof vest?

@@RoxYgen03 I'm sorry, I totally misunderstand your comment. You are referring to politics regarding accessibility to guns etc. I was talking about the verdict itself. DP is just not an effective deterrent to those with either mental illness or severe personality disorders. A true psychopath most likely doesn't care about the consequences. I agree with you that we need to keep children safe. Nobody deserves to fear going to school in the morning.

100%. Don’t let the injustice of the sentence, which was perpetrated by a single juror, destroy you and steal your life. Hopefully, the desired sentence will be carried out by another inmate. The state doesn’t provide justice or fairness.

It's all random and karma and justice are as random as injustice and no-karma. It's a world of good and bad, randomly mixing all the time.
