The whole thing with Mike and the tracker is on another level of brilliance. It's basically a 4D chess play.
Mike suspects he's being tracked because of the note (and the horn to attract his attention).
He goes to a salvage yard with that throwaway car. Takes it apart. Then, sitting inside he realises fuel cap replacements are easy to buy and suspects the tracker is inside his cap (which had been replaced by the people tracking him). He confirms his suspicions by taking apart the fuel cap in the junkyard and seeing the tracker. He leaves it all there, takes a cab back (obviously we must assume he's monitoring for people following and watching him here).
He arrives back home (and presumably checks noone is surveilling him visually), goes to his main car, the Chrysler. Takes out the fuel cap and opens it up, finds the tracker, and studies it to get the model number.
Now this proves the people following him are well-resourced, smart and persistent. So he has to be careful. He puts the tracker with the fuel cap back in his car and drives to his job at the parking booth like always to throw off suspicion.
But now he leaves the tagged fuel cap in the parking lot area and drives (without being tracked) to the meetup with the vet. Negotiates for the exact model of the tracker based on the model number. It's a thousand bucks.
He gets that and now goes back to the parking lot, retrieves the tagged fuel cap and returns home.
He studies the characteristics of the tracker (that he's purchased), discovering there is a low battery alert sent remotely. Usually these batteries are hard to change and they often require charging in place. But the low battery alarm now gives him a great attack point to get back at his adversaries.
He swaps out the enemy's tracker for his own tracker in his car's fuel cap, screws it back in his car. Now he can track his own fuel cap's movements on his monitor device.
He takes the enemy's tracker and drains the battery completely by connecting it via leads to a high drain appliance (the radio). The enemy tracker will now give a low battery alarm to the people following Mike.
Now Mike sits back with his pistachios and settles in for his vigil. The enemy arrives on cue and quickly swaps out the Chrysler's fuel cap for an identical looking one, with a new tracker with a fully charged battery (remember, replacing batteries is not easy or fast and they don't want to be noticed in the suburbs).
They drive away with the fuel cap they took out, in order to avoid leaving evidence behind.
Except the enemy thinks the fuel cap they're carrying back with them is their own. But they're wrong. It's actually Mike's new tracker and he's now hot on their trail. He has to act fast before they discard it or discover the switch (if they were being attentive).
Stay tuned to see what happens. I'm not spoiling anything. The show assumes its audience are smart enough to figure all this out, so there will be no more explanation or exposition on these tactics.

I like the detail that Howard insults Jimmy with an insult that also applies to Chuck, and has to take a moment to realise it and apologize. It shows that at least subconsciously, he's mad at both of them.

Nobody does montages quite like Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. I could watch a whole episode of Mike tearing a car apart. Another awesome reaction let's go season 3!!

"Secret Agent Mike part of the show...," "Eric is in low power mode," "Eric went to stand in the sun (cue hilarious video insert)." You two are HILARIOUS. Love it.

A lot of shows outsource the title creation to a 3rd party, but the showrunners said they do their own and they thought it was fun.

I believe the "future" scenes in this episode took place in October 2010. The past scenes in this episode are based in September 2002.

You gotta be right on the part where Kim is obsessing over the punctuation on the thing she's writing up. I didn't even catch that that's why. But tottaly makes sense. The scene right before is her employer making fun of this embarrassing mistake. And then the next scene she's obsessing over not making a mistake. Idk how I didn't catch that

This one's pretty slow for a season premiere; it's the next episode where things pop off. I wonder if they were meant to be watched back-to-back as a 2-hour premiere. I can't remember if they actually aired them the same night or not.

I feel about Jimmy exactly like the Airforce Captain. Though BCS is my favorite show of all time, I couldn't root for Jimmy at all throughout the show.

The Gus reveal is lost upon you guys because you were spoiled. I wish Eric wouldn't have spoiled Kailyn. Disappointing. I usually love the surprise and excitement reactors show. But your reactions to this classic beyond that are the best.
