- Let me show you my favorite ways to make tuna sandwiches at home. First, I'm starting off with my ultimate tuna salad recipe. This tuna salad is the perfect deli-style tuna for sandwiches and wraps. I'm making my favorite tuna melt and my homemade version of a Subway tuna sandwich.
TUNA AVOCADO SALAD

INGREDIENTS
4- 5oz cans chuck albacore tuna in water
1/4 cup diced celery
1/4 cup red onion
2 Tbsp diced dill pickles
1 Tbsp sweet relish
start with 1/2 cup mayo
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1/2 tsp Maggi seasoning
1/2 tsp lemon pepper seasoning
1/4 tsp paprika
salt & black pepper to taste

When we were first married I made tuna sandwiches and was adding many of these type of ingredients. My husband asked what I was doing because his mother only put mayo in tuna so that’s how it should be made. To his credit after he tried my version he agreed that he liked it better. It took him a few years to realize that his mother really just couldn’t cook, lol!

When my daughter was little we'd go to the pool a lot in summer. I would make tuna salad like you did but add some shredded cheese and then have a bunch of veggies for dipping. She loved it that way and so did all the other kids. Had to pack a lot of food, many of the kids would be sent with no refreshments.
I love Subway tuna subs. I love their tuna and I like lettuce, tomato, cucumber, bell pepper, black olives, then I have them put lots of dried oregano, and a squirt of zest Italian dressing...sooo good.
I love tuna and sometimes put chopped stuffed green olives in it. Umm Umm good!

I'm all in-New Tuna Sandwich ideas!
I make a wasabi ginger tuna sandwich - tuna, mayo, chopped celery, garlic powder, grated carrot, pepper, spinach, toasted bread. Mix all ingredients except the spinach, wasabi, & sushi pickled ginger. On toasted bread smear wasabi on one side of toast. Place spinach on top of that, then add tuna mixture, & sprinkle chopped pickled ginger on top. Lastly, place other piece of toast on top & enjoy!
I'm going to have to try the dill pickle and sweet relish together, I might try that in my potato salad too👍

My local Jewel store makes jalapeno cheddar rolls. My favorite sandwich bread. And, oh ya. American cheese totally goes with tuna. I like eggs,celery, and onion in my tuna. And, sliced pepperocinis on my sando! You talked to my happy place today!

I made this for my Husband last night-I didn’t use Dijon mustard I used regular it I’m gonna make it and add the spices-looks really good-and I love cold tuna on my salad

We really like tuna salad. Like you, Chunk White Albacore is my go to.
That finely diced celery and onion makes it. Dill pickle is my choice. Hubby likes mustard but I don't, at least not with tuna, so I just add it to his.
I've done Tuna Melt Quesadillas, really good with a crispy flour tortilla.
