I think some people who move there or have been born and raised there will tell you that Portland is uneasy and an uncomfortable weird social climate and even they hate it but they’re stuck and the people who do move there are not normal. These destructive riots are now increasing insurance rates across America - making it even more prohibitive for small businesses (not just to survive the epidemic slowdown, but the riots themselves). It only creates more hardship for those food-desert neighborhoods that need commerce the most.
