Hey James, I am a subscriber on RUclips. I love your videos I also do speedruns out in New York…. just had a question about the new 2028-1700 castle motor I have a Hobao vte2 that I am going to put that motor in just wanted to know should I stay with the same 34 spur gear for that motor?

@Dutch RC Speedrunner tires are only 1 of the things that hold speed down , there are alot of forces at play , 210mph is going to be tough to achieve

Gearing is tough with this motor, with my road only being 2000ft , this motor likes less gear and longer runs

Hobao carbon shafts are available on Amazon , not sure it they have stock currently, the Hobao spool is different form the Arrma

Ive have had the 1700kv for months, I like it better than the 2400kv , but I'm not really into high kv motors

How would you compare the 2028-1700kv to the 1721-2400kv? I am running the 1721 now, but not having much luck with it because my road isn't very long.
Two different motors for sure , I like the 1700kv more because im not really into high kv motors

This was back in july so i dont remember the actual gearing but it is in line with any 1700kv motor
