- When van life goes right! Today we’re installing our gas set up. We decided to go with gas purely because it’s the cheaper option (and our only fans page isn’t set up properly yet). As you can probably tell from the title - Custard ALIVE!! Thank the lord!
This week we are smashing through our big man list and we cannot wait to drop her off tomorrow for that all important bodywork we’ve been waiting AGES for!! Once it's done - we can get the wrap!!

Total 360 from last week. The world needed a little bit of sunshine and Custard came through for us (with a little help from your friends - gee that could be a song). Live on Custard , Live on.
The outtakes are slowly becoming my favourite part 😂 so excited with how close you are now can't wait until you're back on the road 💪

Make sure those gas vent holes get covered in some type of strong screen. Here in the US, mice get inside every little unplugged crack and make themselves quite at home in your groceries and shred your clothing (OH NO!!) to nest in. Lynn
Simply put: this video was spectacular! We loved the creativity that went into your "Skillympics" series but this opening surpassed that. We watch many Van/RV videos and you guys have become a favorite.

Here's a good tip:;
'Always' carry a couple of spare Split Pins in your kit. First: check underneath the van you have/drive, as it has, (or used to have unless it has been modified?).
Check the link to the gearbox from your gear lever which comes through the floor, and which links to shaft entering the gearbox, and is held there by nothing more than a small Split Pin, almost no bigger than a woman's Hair clip! This rusts with wet weather, and road spray, and the linkage slips off, and you have '0' gear change! (Scary if you are driving!). (It may have been modified, but mine wasn't. You can guess that trying to find a Split Pin far from a supplier will have you frustrated, or in my case, quite 'P*$"@' off, and your van out of action, (unless you use string, or some sort of tie on), which gets you to a hardware supplier, or Main dealer. So check, and then get them before you travel, and grease them before fitting to rust protect it. So annoying, that such a huge engine and gearbox, is reliant on a hair clip!

Make sure the hole for the gas leak is the size of a management station for a computer. The buy one and slot it in. You can open it when your using the van, and close it off when your not. Stops the mice and rats getting in, unless your resting your bottle on top of the hole, then it’s fine 😁 just sayin like 😎
