Lost in europe used cheap chinese diesel heater all winter in - 16 and i have used the expensive eberspacher diesel heaters in trucks for last 25 years cant beat em. Good luck

Hi Craig & Aimee , get your gas hob looked at by a LPG qualified gas engineer, it's not burning correctly, i can see by the size and colour of the flames that it is not set up correctly. the orange colour in the flame means that it is producing carbon monoxide, which is not good in a confined space like custard the bus, even small amounts of carbon monoxide can be bad for your health giving you headaches, large amounts can knock you out and kill you, it's probably something simple like incorrect jetting or aeration settings or you are using an incorrect regulator, 100% you need to get this sorted out, you are a classic case of where it could go wrong, no heating in custard / using the hob for heat / incorrect set hob which is producing carbon monoxide, the next thing you know one of you is in hospital or worse.
good luck with getting the bus sorted, enjoy your videos, you are both great fun, hope you take this advice as it would not be good to see you come to harm over something so simple . best regards lee

@@kingingit the flames should be blue and sharp , there should be no yellow in the flame at all, have a look at your gas hob at home if you have one, or take a look at someone elses you know , check out how the flames look, your caravan hob in custard should look no different if set up right ,, i know your hob in custard is on a different gas than the hob at home , but the same again it should look no different with a nice blue flame and flames with nice sharp points as your gas hob at home will be , the hob in custard needs to have the correct size bottle and regulator to feed the hob with the correct volume of gas to burn cleanly and efficiently. then the hob needs to have the correct LPG jets for the type of gas you are using and the aeration might need setting as well depending if the hob has adjustable aeration on each of the burners, it's hard to say what the problem is with yours without knowing the whole gas bottle size /regulator type / pipework/ and hob settings but i can tell its not right from the short view i spotted on the video, have an ask around your area, a lot of gas guys will also be skilled up for LPG work i am sure you will be able to persuade someone local to give you a hand.
For the size of custard we would recommend an 8kw heater, with Lcd screen and remote control, you'll never look back. Can be run on Red Diesel or your main tank, all the best, Paul

You guys crack me up. 😂 We went for a cheap Chinese 'knock off' diesel air heater and love it. Cost just over £100. Works really well and keeps Bob (our van) and us really toasty. Get well soon Custard 💕

We’ve got the Apeman m4 mini projector for our travels, we got it because it’s lightweight, we can use the camera tripod for viewing, and it charges off a 12volt USB cable, making it perfect for travels. We love using it both inside & outside of our van.
For the heater we’ve got a 2kw Chinese diesel heater one with a metal casing because it felt safer that the plastic casing and so so much cheaper than the erberspacher alternative.

You can chance the Chinese heater, but if you are not starving get the propex! The Chinese one I got stunk diesel after 3rd use and it only lasted to the 4th. It looks like the ignition element element broke...
Ah bollocks. haha we ordered one earlier this week. Waiting for it to be delivered today! We'll see how we get on, if it breaks we'll look at a better one..

Hi Guys Just noticed you have ply sheets under the mattress. To avoid damp it would be advisable to drill some large holes in the ply to allow air flow.

Ebderspacher night heaters for vehicles
You get a timer and temperature settings with it These days it uses Bannarna bus fuel and uses no more than 3 litres a full night if left on all night. Set it so it comes on as you wake up. ! Toasted ! ! 😂😂

Took about 4 weeks to receive mine diesel heater from China but if you are in rush I would consider used one but original Webasto heater and do regeneration or clean up of it at least. Best of luck to you two! ✌
Brilliant thanks mate. Do you have a 5 or 3kw? I know some places stock them in the UK, if they're not not too much cheaper I think we'll look at getting them from there!
@@kingingit we have 5kW unit. For the one from ebay you can buy 2 from aliexpress but there might be some taxes / duty to pay. Some shops state that products are in UK but lead time is 4 weeks. If you have a garage for Custard and you can work with other bits this might be an option. Winter is coming ❄

How about ebersprächer for a heater? Don’t go for a cheapo solution your life may depend on it...but defenitly go for a heater that uses the same fueltank as the engine...

got a chinese one in my camper, on our last trip it stayed on for 4 days straight and it cost me just over a five to top up again, its been in over a year now and its been fault less

@@kingingit Works best in subdued light, but you have blinds. It's a ready to go Android device, so with a WiFi connection, you can go straight to netflix, Spotify, RUclips etc. The extra motion sensing pointer mouse thing they offer as an option is worth having, only a few more quid and it makes stuff like typing in an address so much easier. Can show you pics of it in action if you want.
Go for a cheap Chinese heater I have one in my van they are great for the money. There are a few Facebook groups to get tips from.
