As long as people are doing it safely/being honest about what they’ve done I don’t see a problem. (Now if someone gets a fat transfer and advertises it as “oh I just did lots of squats”, that’s a totally different situation, but if you’re upfront about it and do your research than go for it)
Yes, lip gloss is fine too. But I had my lips tattooed a few months ago and is such a game changer. You are ALWAYS ready. You wake up and if you have lips and eyebrows done, and if you make also a lash lift every 2-3 months (I do mine at home) you are ready to go and water proof / mess proof / eating proof / sweat proof / swimming proof... You are always ready and beautiful. Some days I only add some concealer, most of days not even that. Lips tattoos last anywhere from 2 - 4 years and my eyebrows I do every 1.5 - 2 years. This year and I the two at the same time. Takes me only a couple of hours and voila! Ready for the next years. Very natural but put together all the time. As a business owner/mother/wife/traveler it was such a game changer you cant imagine. A real blessing. :)

Not the same. Lipsticks run off and you have to watch it out and reapply several times a day. This one stays while you sleep, while you eat, while you swimming and all. You only have to apply once for 2-4 years of good color. And you can still wear a lipstick whenever you want. :)
The result here is so much better than the one in Beauty Insider, in my opinion and personal preference. But maybe, for other people, the Beauty Insider version is better. IDK.

I had my lips done and they looked really good but it only lasted about a year and cost $600! Lipsticks and lip liners feather out into the fine wrinkles around my lips and I hate that but it’s way too expensive to keep this up!
how long does the tattoo last and how soon can you get it re-done? is this something that if you start doing it, you are in for the long haul and need to keep doing it? what if you don't like the colour any more? what if the outlined lip liner look goes out of style? what if the lip tattoo artist (not even sure what to use for a job description) is just trying to make a sale and they tell you to get something that looks 'good' but is truly the opposite? I don't even know if there would be any recourse for getting something like this corrected.

Now this artist knows how to do this lip blush tattoo tecnique. Everyone else I see has the WORST outer lip lines and horrible colors! It's so obvious and they look like 90 year old women who can't line their lips anymore. This natural look is soooooooooo much better. Good job!

I'd definitely do this, but the whole lips. I hate to use lipstick, because I keep licking my lips all the time, and than I get that gross lipstick taste, so that tattoo would be very useful.
