    **NEWS FLASH**
This is one of the most difficult pieces in all of chamber music. Truly, Tchaikovsky wrote a "Symphony for 3 Instruments"!! (And, Zhao's playing is worth the entire trip!)

This team climb this mountain of a piece making music all the way. They are terrific with Argerich on great form and the strings a revelation. Dora Schwarzberg nearly steals the show, wonderful.

One of the great piano trios and there is great balance among the instrumentalists here.

You think so? I think Schwarzberg plays herself in the 1st position...

This is a great combination of course, how could it not be with Argerich involved!. I have to say though I prefer the Spiegel Trio with the outstanding Zlata Chochieva, those players give a beautifully integrated account of this challenging masterpiece.

What an outstanding performance. I am listening on Plantronics headphones and the balance is superb at all times. The sensitivity to Tchaikovsky's style is remarkable. It is rivaled only by Van Cliburn and Kiril Kondrashin. Shame on all detractors.

Beautifully performed, but it's just a pity that a huge omission (vi-de - more than 100 bars) was made in the finale: the whole development section of this extended sonata allegro. However, this vi-de was allowed by the author.

Don't feed the Trollovskis, especially when they are stupid enough to comment about a moment of slightly bad intonation in almost 50 minutes of beautiful music-making.

    • @alivateRocket

+Vladimir Trollovski How about at 14:35? That was more noticeable to me. I personally could never get a note that well on a Violin. Probably because I don't play one. The Piano does make a few apparent mistakes, but I'm not familiar with the composer or the song. I guess if we wanted perfection we would have robots playing it for us. There would be no mistakes nor any pulse. It's hard to critisise absolutely, one needs another reference performance.
