I both listen to and watch (yes!) this video every couple months. So many of the world's most talented musicians creating a true magic. There is nothing like watching a bunch of immensely talented people doing something they love.

I think I've discovered this piece a week ago now, and I listened this piece at least 30 times after this discovery. Due to the splendid performance I must listen to this piece at least once a day. These are people whose professional recordings I have all enjoyed. I look at each one of them and I think about their interpretations of my favourite pieces and how they have collaborated with the others at some point in their career. Now they're all playing the same piece together on the same stage!!! So trippy i can't believe this happened.
Don't you mean 6:15 ..? - but agreed; that part of this particular performance is practically half-speed compared to most all other renditions, helping to make it sound so very serene.

OMG the pianissimo (I mean the dynamics, it's not a joke about 4 pianos on stage lol) parts are so perfectly done. Something that truly can only be achieved when all 4 pianists are good and know what they're doing.
The four soloists are clearly outstanding, but musicians in the orchestra are not quite at a loss either! I believe I saw Sarah Chang playing second violin! They all look like they are having such good time. Thank you for posting.

I doubt this can be considered one of his most transformational works since Vivaldi was the original composer of this concerto for 4 violins. Beautifully transcribed by Bach yes, but composed by Vivaldi

Yes it's a a Vivaldi concerto and then Bach arranged it for four harpsichcords (1065). As the story goes, Bach also composed a concerto for three harpsichcord (1063) that was then re-arranged by Mendelssohn, about a century later.

Y como los pianos tienen 82 teclas (creo recordar), esta versión hay 328 teclas disponibles para Bach y para los ejecutantes. Luego, no logro entender que haya una "exageración de teclas", tal como lo cree Iván Pérez Margarito. De esta versión del concierto Vivaldi-Bach, que acabo de conocer, sí me produce admiración que incluya los cuatro pianos más una orquesta de cuerdas. No combination of words or phrases can describe the pure essence of awesomeness created and synthesized by these four pianos and orchestral arrangement. I am truly moved and transcended by such a truly wonderful masterpiece. Perhaps there is nothing more transcending or magical as this song... or is there?
