    I figured out the loosening of the water pump pulley bolts. There is another video on replacing the water pump. It starts off exactly like this one. You have to remove the alternator to replace the water pump so, just bring in a new alternator and now you have two videos, if you edit.
    It appears to be an editing error.

    I’m confused does it have a Automatic tensioner or do you tension it yourself?

    • @poormansstack
      @poormansstack Год назад +5

      it is stretch to fit, so after you get it on that is it. No tensioner at all. Ford had some budget cuts in Engineering during this time!

    Can you get under the alternator by laying under the car to disconnect those 2 cables ?

    • @SumDumGy

      Seems the best way, doesn’t it? Just like it seems best to disconnect all your cables prior to any of the hardware.

    Does anybody know the torque specs to tighten all of these?

    If you don't wanna buy a new accessory drive belt you can use a long screwdriver to generate some leverage on the belt and then spin the crankshaft pulley to stretch it off.
    Wear ppe.. doing this can cause it to snap.. if you can afford to replace the belt then just replace it. Be careful not to damage any components. There's a special tool to put it back on with.. if you don't have it then you might want about an hour to sulk and another one to get it finished without mechanical experience.....
    P.s. and for the love of God.. remove the spark plugs before you try to crank on the damn thing with a wrench......
