Is that a star nut? 10:45 Nevemind, done with my alternator swap out... Did not need to unscrew studs however I found a 1/4 in socket can do the job....Also metric sockets, wrenches were slim to none...had to use adjustable for the 15mm on the bottom...I would have gotten stuck on the top 13mm connector if I did not have my 13mm socket. Ordering a set of metric wrenches today. Thanks so much for your help! I wiggled a screw driver at the slot tab where the clip engages to get the fan nozzle thingy off...light pressure so as not puncture the plastic....
Good video. What's the point of the air dam/cover? Does it direct wind to help cool it down or something? This is the first time I've seen an alternator cover like that.

Man quit lying v6 alternator is a breeze. Drop ac compressor and comes right out. Hour tops.
