I injured my forefoot just before big TOE right feet..plaster cast for 1 month removed now .. physiotherapy done for 1week still pain around plantar fascitis and lateral malleous while walking and twisting ankle lateral pain ...is this a tendon issue
I twisted my right ankle when i was young, 50 years ago, and I always had a ankle weakness in my right foot! I am retired now but doing a school cleaning job 10 hours per week! I suddenly experienced stiffness in my ankle and pain last weekend! I have changed the shoes i wore and have shoes on with insoles in now but I still have pain pointing my toes, stretching them towards me and circling my ankle! I do have some osteoarthritis but i am surprised it may affect my ankle now all of a sudden! Will watch video to the end! Praying their is a solution and maybe suitable shoes for me to wear 👍
you explain everything so well. So when I get my new job I will go back to my foot doctor. Now I understand whats going on and need to know what to do.. thank you for making this video.
Liked and subscribed. The most comprehensive explanation I've heard yet about all the likely causes of ankle pain. I am suffering from outer ankle pain at the moment. It was the most unlikely incident that caused it. I was only walking around my bed in the dark and lost my balance, which seemed to cause me to put all of my weight on the outside edge of my right foot. I didn't feel at the time like I had rolled the ankle. Anyway I walked as normal on it for a week or so and it seemed to be settling down, but it's flared up again. I do a lot of walking. I also feel a lot of unusual tightness in my calf which I have been foam rolling. It so happens I have a podiatry appointment in a few days for other issues. Would they be able to help me with the ankle problem do you think? Should I go to the trouble of going to the minor injuries clinic for an x ray? The fact that I'm able to weight bear and walk on it would seen to suggest that it's not serious, but it's uncomfortable and I don't want to make it any worse.
Wow what an excellent video with great explanations! Thanks James! I have pain on the side of my ankle, I believe it was from a sudden ankle move I made the other day while walking on a uneven terrain
Me to but was cutting trees when I fell my ankle hit a piece of wood my weight slammed in to ankle outer been 2 months going to Drs soon keep snapping and it hurts and burns
Please help me. I'm 16, and I've been running track at school recently. I've been experiencing some unknown pain that feels like it's circling all around my lower ankle and the front of my shins. Throughout the day, it doesn't hurt because I'm walking in school, but when I get to track practice and begin running, it starts to hurt. Even walking and standing alone causes me pain.
Hi sir, my wife have.konda flat feet, but only since about 6 months her right foot, just underneath her ankle bone (left side) she is experiencing pain, specially when she walks, or stands (puts pressure on it).. she didn't hurt it by doing anything like sports or got twisted or anything, she just started to experience this pain just like that. I searched abit about it but can't find what's exactly the issue... (plantar fasciitis or peroneal tendon etc) ... it's just a small area about an inch wide , underneath ankle bone that she's experiencing this pain. I'm sorry for long message. Please suggest me something. Thanks .
What could cause this... It starts as left ankle joint pain upon rolling foot inwards (purposely, to feel how bad it is) and within around 5 hours the pain is constant without moving foot at all. Trying to roll or point foot inwards at this point is excruciating. The next day, it's nowhere near as bad and pain fades as the hours pass, even though I'm on my feet constantly. At this point, the pain upon turning foot is still there but barely noticeable. There is some swelling but at this point, it's minor. No injury, no strenuous movements. Looking at a pic of anatomy of a foot, the area that hurts is where the lateral ligaments are. It doesn't happen in my right foot, just my left. And the same thing happens to my wrists. Any ideas what this could be?

Unfortunately I cannot provide direct medical advice without a consultation. Best wishes for your recovery

Which shoe do you recommend for peroneal tendonitis?
We have a separate video on this
I want an image of the last condition. Overall a nice comprehensive discussion of the topic though.

I think it’s a sprain. No swelling or bruise I can point and flex but side moments result in sharp pain on the top and sides of ankle joint.
In the 6:10 section, can it present a few years after an ankle sprain?
Broke ankle, left, had surgery 3 months ago. Today I worked garden. Now my foot hurts and unable to stand on.
The ball (bone)on the ankle hurts?

Might be a avulsion ankle fracture? It may have semi healed up then you disturbed it by over stretching the healing join? All the best man
I thought there were supposed to be tips to manage the injury.
We have seperate videos and blogs on treatment for each condition
maybe try and speak a bit slower its not a race
Thanks for your feedback
