Unfortunately, this channel has been demonetized by RUclips for the third time and therefore the Game Movie Vault has been closed. It was fun for over 10 years but I can no longer afford to spend the time to make these videos without being reimbursed by RUclips. I have started a second channel that focuses on Diablo 4 and I am thinking of starting another separate Game Lore channel very soon.

you gotta give Insomniac credit- they weren't afraid to kill off the main character. and they aren't afraid to experiment differnet gameplay styles, either.
Every mission, "hey lets see if we can convince Hale to walk into another dark creepy monster infested hole." also Hale refuses to take his meds.
Cause a real hero like him knows theres no time for that plus every minute hale sits down and does nothing more lives are killed or infected thats why he decided not to take the inhibitor treatments and another reason why I im proud to call him a leader
He could lead longer if he just take his meds.
Why not develop the meds further so that he can just jab himself on the field and continue with his mission?
Punishthefalse that's just part of the story, if Hale went for his first round of meds instead of saving Malikov we wouldn't have had a very long game would we?

TheGamerTim game wise your correct but truly SRPA fucked up by not going above/beyond on the inhibitors. Here are a few ideas train the sentinels to be able to give inhibitors or increase amount of Ipack space for circumstances like Hale necessary long slog here. Of course I would have loved if Hale had survived but I get the statement they made, plus how they played with his death in the book between this and R3 was pretty interesting!

Literally, this is my favorite way to do a "all cutscenes" video. Because it includes the in game dialogue segments. Now I, the non-player, can follow along like the actual player can. Very appreciative because I know its just extra work, plain and simple.

I skipped through a lot of it because half the missions are shit and largely irrelevant to the overarching plot surrounding the MC.

You can't lie. This was one the most interesting games for the ps. Plus you also cant lie that the graphics definitely have had improvement's from the original.
Lane Coker only some but in those areas yes very good: lighting, giving more things a very disgusting feeling like the Leviathan and the Grim pods (I still feel sick dealing with them), being able to get more details on things, and animations. However some are bad the internals of anything but the bigger chimera for example. Additionally the biggest gripe for me is other then the actual cinematics and some ingame cutscenes the conversations all sound as if over the radio even though the person is right next to you.
They gave the chimera 4k textures, seriously look how detailed Daedalus when you kill him
Facts
Those cool effects are usually not worth the downsides. Resistance 2 has an insufferably low FOV and Resistance 3 runs at a lower resolution than the second game.
Perhaps Sony shouldn't have made such a weak cut corner console with an experimental 8 core CPU when most PCs had 1 or 2 cores.
They need to remaster this game for the PS4 asap.

To me this was the craziest moment in video game history, nothing else has had this much of an impactful scale.

@@williamgarcia4102 no the chimera wouldn't because the cold War never happened, and so Russia never developed Nukes. USA was the only one to make one, which was the fission bomb in the end of R2.

When he killed Nathan Hale he had too because he was already turned and no way of curing him so had to kill one of the greatest main characters ever
Resistance 3 would have Joseph Capelli become the main hero and playable character. However, he was saddened to kill him since he started respecting him and seeing him as his friend. Hale did wanted to die so that he doesn’t kill innocent people. Despite his death, his humanity has created a vaccine which was the last time he saved everyone.

Pure nostalgia. I remember when I first played this game, I was blown away by the graphics and the story line. They don’t make em like they used to anymore

Yeah man the graphics for resistance 2 was the most realistic first person shooter game on PS3
I know a lot of people are talking about 16:20 and how harrowing it is. But it’s even more impactful if you played Resistance Retribution on the PSP. There’s a level in Luxembourg where we see these very ships being constructed…
I played Retribution before Resistance 2, and when I saw this level… I was gobsmacked. That’s what they were building and where they were headed.
You got the same feeling as me then, I was wondering what they were constructing there, when I made the comparisons I was shocked that they were the city-wide battleships we fought here. Quite intriguing how the lore are tied together especially when we look at all the intel.
All the more reason they should remake and/or expand this series.
Alot of Retribution lead to this game. The building, grayson destroying the Paris tower leading to Spinners and the destruction of the US. Its so well done

Only things missing from the series were an explanation of the Chimeran home world, why they invaded earth, and our eventual retaliation attack
Not to mention the other alien race that drive them off and if the Cloven were still thriving.
ITT: Why I think Resistance 3 had the weakest story.
Ok so the chimera at the age of dinosaurs, had prohibited earth as their homeworld they were the original owners of earth (which explains how the towers excavated instead of build) they went into war with a another alien species (the gray tech in resistance retribution and the explosion that anihhilated the dinosaur's eons ago also Daedalus Prometheus project to retrieve all the cubes to re-enact the same extinction event, or even power their towers with all the energy contained on these cubes) although those aliens crippled the chimera and eventually fled away from earth refracted the towers into the ground and waited. once they were in a critical state due to the alien species thet were fighting they were forced to seek shelter back to earth as a habitable planet, reclaim their possibly lost technology from the towers and retaliate against the hostile aliens that deemed a threat for the chimera, although main obstacle in this story was us, humans. So they send a virus to deal with them and conquer earth activating the wormhole so it will be easier to access their homeworld and conquer earth

The Chimera were the first inhabitants of earth. However they fled when they were at war with a different alien race. However, they left behind technology that was beneficial for them to survive or re-enter earth.
They were close to extinction. Their home planet was probably in shambles. Due to this war with an unknown alien race. Tried to use earth as a new resource to repopulate.

Completed this on Superhuman two days ago. Tip if you can beat this on Difficult Superhuman isn't much harder and you actually have an advantage as all hybrids now drop Bullseye MII's so have more firepower early on and as long as your careful like on difficult only real problems are bigger chimera like titans, swarms of grims as they get to close without: shotgun, auger, MII, and the splicer in certain situations, the vehicles: stalkers, Hellfire turrets, all drones in different circumstances: patrol swarm, wraith gun on bigger ones, and the assault drones anytime, and finally the Kraken in San Francisco takes 2 to 3 times more shots and a single glance from the drill tentical will kill you. One third to a half of my deaths came from the f-ing thing.

This game was one of my favs for multiplayer back in the day. Mostly because of all the glitches and out-of-bounds stuff you could do. A couple of my buddies and some randoms would try to speedrun every mission and kill the enemy team from afar. It was awesome.
This is an absolute gem of a game! Still hoping for a remaster!!

Plot twist. The doctor who wakes you up looks just like a slightly younger version of the doctor from metal gear solid 5. This game takes place in 1953, mgs5 takes place in 1984. There is also the side mission in ground zeroes with the snatcher aliens(1975). The Chimara evolved into snatchers!

Tha GhostGod No, if anything, they were the first Sentinels. Cloven were a product of Fyodor Malikov's attempts to vaccinate Russian soldiers against the chimeran virus. Some were fine, some died or went full chimera, but many got half infected, sort of like Hale or the rest of his Sentinel team, but much worse. They had chimeran strength and didn't turn alien, but they had strange dreams, psychosis, delusions, cravings, they grew impulsive and animalistic. They called Malikov their "father" and themselves his "children," but eventually even Malikov couldn't keep them in line, they went AWOL, and spread along the chimeran territory as it grew, being hostile to human and alien alike.

This game is good but not as good as the first in my opinion. Also, I don’t understand why they got rid of the Angels and some of the other Chimera. Makes the story from the previous game not make sense
Brian the chimera evolve quickly. The leadership caste, the Angels were too weak and kept getting killed off. So the leadership role went to primarchs and then to Daedalus, then back to primarchs I think for part 3. The conversion centers became outdated due to spinners. Greyjacks weren't around because they were being killed off before they outgrew their heating apparatus. Idk about the hardfangs, slipskulls or widowmakers (although they're present in part 3)
