In the full original script of soul reaver kain was to have multiple vampire "wife's" like vorador had in blood omen 1, but soul reaver in its final release was a half the game of what the devs had intended it to be, in my head canon during the golden days of the empire kain indeed had multiple wife's and kains sons also had female vamps to get buy.
In many ways it was a repurposed Chakan 2 sequel, at least in the ways of the art style (done by the same guy - Steve Ross). Overall the game feels quite different compared to the main "Trilogy" (Soul Reaver 1+2, Defiance). It was done by a different team and certain plot points (like Janos coming back or Vorador growing a new head) were simply thrown over the fence for Soul Reaver team to address. Defiance managed to resolve most of the standing plot points, though scenes like Vorador's ressurection were supposed to happen in Dark Prophecy, the cancelled sequel.
Many didn't like this game, but I love it, it permeates with Gothic atmosphere.
I would love a remaster of this 👌🏼
Same but maybe add stuff too. Add Easter eggs from other games, theirs a lotta time travel in the franchise after all.

This was the least well received game in the series... and I'd easily give it a 7.5. That's a high bar for a series. (Good writing) 👌
loved blood omen 1 and 2, didn't like the soul reaver games all that much but liked defiance lmfao

I think bloodomen 2 is the less good of the LoK serie, still a very decent game
