Charley has been my favorite artist for the past few years. I desperately want him to become a household name, he deserves it.
He is in my house. Been a fan for the last six years.
I'm a fan of all kinds of music from country to reggae to new wave and even K-pop, but never had any of Charley's music....I'm rectifying that today. Thanks for the great interview, Jordan.
Super nice do. I use to ring him up at the Lakewodd Whole Foods. People with that kind of friendliness and authenticity always stood out.
I used to dream about cowboys when I was 12 BECAUSE I WAS 12!!
Jordan he said the wailing jennies there a group check them out buddy
It's time makes country music but it's still Wearing IL lu min ti symbols
No, it’s native jewelry. 🤦🏽♀️ it’s an eagle!
Im not a cowboy, im a cowboy singer and I just wanna sing my cowboy songs 🤠. I love this guy. Ive seen him live 3x in California and will see him again soon in Lake Tahoe. He has been the soundtrack to my life for the last five years and that is a big deal. Go Charley, go!
Jordan Klepper interviews all people.. i love it
Great interview! It’s tough to get much out of Charlie and Jordan did. Congrats!
I’m loving Jordan Klepper as the guest host. I loved Charley’s corny little quip when people ask him what his song is about and his answer was about 3 minutes
Klepper: What's a Farm Party?
Charley: It's code for "Party on a Farm"
Like Don McLean would answer back in the day when asked what “American Pie” meant: “That I never have to work again.”
i am sorry to say i’ve never heard of Charlie - but now i have!
I hope you catch up, he's worth the listen
ditto, I've never heard of him.....seems nice
He's great catch him live. Nice humble man who is the real deal
Check out colter wall too
Maybe give spelling his name correctly a chance as well.
Discovered Charley a month or so ago when his NPR Tiny Desk video released. I've been a huge fan ever since. If you don't know him or his music, definitely give it a listen. He's an amazingly talented artist!!!!
Thanks for the recommendations. I love those concerts and have found artists I hadn't heard of before.
Absolutely love his song “ I am not afraid” Amazing artist amazing voice
Love Charley's work, and he's always so well dressed! Lol NPR desk performance was incredible, excellent performer
One of the best live shows out there. He's riding a rocket to the top. I've had the pleasure of seeing him twice
Seen him 7 times over the past few years. Gets better every time! I'm so happy for him and the Blue Drifters.
Same. Seen him in San Marcos and Houston. Ticket prices are RISING now
@Forgottenhelm1 heck yeah they are! We saw him in Broken Bow OK for $25 a person and in Houston for $70.
Get'm while they are affordable! I got a signed Man from Waco Poster framed and everything lol
@Forgottenhelm1 absolutely. We have all his vinyls signed and a few CDs. We'll, we missed out on Waco signed 🥺 but got the rest! Haha
Great interview. Jordan Klepper is the best! 💠
I don't know why they've been avoiding it, but Klepper is the best host. They've known how popular he is... I wonder why they haven't given him the big seat for real and only now had him guest host?
He is defo the man for the job!
I think because he is so amazing in the field!
They already gave him a show. Didn’t work out. He’s great doing field reports but I doubt they’re going to take a risk on him again.
It’d be nice to see Ronny Chieng in at the desk. Or a woman though.
@TheHeavyMan When did they give him a show?? Must have been a while ago or poorly advertised since I haven't heard of it. I think his great field work really brought him into the spotlight but he seems to be doing great as host so far. I think he has been at the Daily Show longer than most others. He talked about being there with John Stewart, and remembering Roy's first day. He definitely has the experience.
Not sure I can see Ronny as host, maybe Roywood Jr. But he has his own show too. I mean, a woman would be nice but I don't want them to fill the void with a woman just because theyre a woman. I want them to pick the person right for the job.
I'd hate to see Klepper lose his chance because of the color of his skin and his gender after all the work he's put in.
As an lgbtq+ woman, I love seeing represention, but I don't want them to force it because it's the social norm.
@Serenity Lithae the opposition with Jordan Klepper was on for 1 season in 2017
I'm not a country fan but this guy has charisma.
Been listening to Charley for 4 years and never looked back proud of this cowpoke
Klepper for host!!! ❤❤❤
Charlie for guest! 😊😊😊
I like Klepper too, but won't be mad if Roy Wood Jr gets it
charley’s putting me to sleep 😴 but that’s a nice quality in a person. i’d pay him to read me bed time stories and chat while i fall asleep. it’s healthier than ambien. charley, ping me!
Finally getting more love! Listen to Paint It Blue, Lesson in Depression, The Valley, 5 More Miles, 7 Come 11. His music is amazing!
Jordan is the best interviewer out there! He squeezes golden nuggets out of folks
I love charley💛 Found him recently. Now, I could listen to him all day 🤩
I’ve never heard of him before and I’m so glad to watch this interview with Charlie it puts tears in my eyes he’s so real so genuine I’m glad Jordan is interviewing him! ❤ it gives me hope
I wouldn’t have expected Charley Crockett on TDS but he’s a great performer, started seeing him from some Americana channels a few years ago.
I've been following Charley Crocketts hard work and dedication for many years. He's an amazing talent, and I'm so glad he's getting the attention and recognition he deserves.
He's got a unique style and I've enjoyed what I've heard.
I like this guy haven’t heard of him before
Those are not his real teeth, right?
Alot of rude people in these comments. For a target audience who is supposed to be accepting got alot of racial profiling and snide comments in the comments. We see you hypocrites. 👀
That's all I hear hypocrisy if the way of life it seems
Just seen him in Cheyenne. What a performance. Really gives back. Did not leave disappointed.
Amazing to see Charley rising into the spotlight! So cool!
What a great guy!! Cool, fun and grounded!! 👍🏼
Was blessed to see him open up for Willie Nelson in Austin 😊💕🪻
Classic Charley, keeping it real
Y’all gonna upload the performance?? Cmon now. 🐊
the nation needs more people like these 2 guys right now… this made me smile.
I've been a fan for like 6 or 7 years. It's been so cool watching him get bigger and bigger, completely organically. Dude is the definition of cool.
Real country! Been the boss for sometime now
LOVE Charlie C.
He deserves all the recognition, but I'm so shocked he is on the daily show
Bro has a million dollar smile! 🥺
Charley is the king of gulf coast boogie woogie...
Jordan Klepper so needs to be the permanent host. He’s such a natural - genuinely hilarious and so guest centered!
He is handsome
Bob might be calling you now, Charley.
He's a descendant of Davy Crockett.
He’s won my heart 💜
Charlie is so genuine, love that when he got a little nervous he took a brat and just spoke from the heart
“Truth or Consequences” is a town in New Mexico…Great line.
I got it!
I like this dude. Never heard of him before.
I have never heard of this cowboy. But he is hysterical!! Great sense of humor which I would guess is reflected in his music.
This dude seems so chill
Fun interview, but to correct some poetic license, Truth or Consequences was called Hot Springs, when Billy the Kid rode through.
Telling record 3xecs to kiss your behind was started by Ani Difranco in 1990
I appreciate that you just let Charley talk ...
Charley Crockett looks exactly like Steph curry in my eyes.
Very similar
He does.
Nope, one is steph CURRY, the other is Steph MAYO
Looking forward to see Crockett in concert!
Not the right time, but if he comes back l would love a longer interview about being black or creole in his music genre. I imagine he’s had a bumpier and more colorful road in comparison to the likes of Dylan. I wonder who his influences were.
At the next magat event, Klepper needs to try and find somebody who actually bought a Trump NFT.
🤡
Get your Cowboy Candy. Cheers to you Charley. Go get 'em!
I only got one question: Is there an Atlantic Northwest? O_o
Klepp Man is all over cable and the Net, and I can't get enough. Roy Jr. is great, Jordan the same, maybe they could co-host?
I love both these guys!
8:26 did this fool just connect to that Kanye Level 👀
I just found out Charley was born with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome and a bicuspid aortic valve. The way he tells his story for the AHA inspires me to keep studying medicine.
This fella is the real deal.
🤍Charley 🤍He is the real deal ! 💙🎶🎶🎶🎶
What a fun interview. Charley Crockett is the one of the best
Why not desi for host?
They'll probably get to her
She is guest hosting next week!
Charley is incredible singer/songwriter.
Sounds like a cool country voice .
I love him ! I’m so glad he’s getting the attention he deserves
Never heard of him
Authentic artist...now a rare thing.
People ask me what my songs are about, and I tell em 2 or 3 minutes 🤣🤣🤣
He's clever!
I think Klepper is hilarious
About to see him in a little town in Montana…. The weather is bad should be interesting
❤️ your music and spirit CC. Great interview too!
Where's John Stewart?
This sounds like a little Dylan-style self mythologizing…
My only complaint is man he's gotta stop saying you know, you know?
It's becoming the new "like"
This is the weirdest interview I've ever seen.
No u r
Like I said the midnight cowbou
He has some nice teeth
Witnessing a living legend
Lol the midnight cowboy lol
I thought it was a taco at first ( today IS taco Tuesday ) . Regardless I looked closer.
Alright, let's do it 👍
I love him
"I was born in south texas...didnt have a dollah to our name. my papa left my mama there....to pick cotton and cut down sugar cane. "
Never heard of him, will look him up I’m from Waco, Texas!
He played alit with James hand
@@robertsmith6739 I’m sorry but no idea who James Hand is. I don’t listen to country music and don’t listen to the radio. Thank you for responding though.
"farms"......hey from a Humboldt County, California chick.
I'll sing you a true song of Billy the Kid
I'll sing of some desperate deeds that he did
'Way out in New Mexico long long ago
When a man's only chance was his own forty-four
Bob used to not give straight answers either. It's better that way because it leaves the power to interpret to the crowd. They end up thinking about the artist as poetic when they have less to go off of.
That Billy the Kid sou dyrack is one of my favorite albums EVER
Great job opening up for Tyler Childers last night in Rogers Ar.
7:11 you guys are hilarious. This is a great interview. Can’t wait to pass it on.❤ 7:19
7 weeks with shingles is not really that long. They can last for several months!
