I'll keep showing up to his shows 4 times a year and paying for everything I can to support this guy. I want him to break the machine. This is the music my dad and granny played for me.
Amen
I can absolutely relate and feel the same exact way!👐
you got it dude!, this is my man too .. want to be a part of his success cause he deserve it so much ! A real good human making full souled music at least nowadays
Same. I did 3 shows last year. Trying to do numbers this year and every year!
I saw him in Oklahoma this past Saturday. Charley, don't ever stop. You are my favorite artist, across every genre.
Independent and sticking to his roots. Lord please watch over this man. 🙏🏽
Yes. Watch over him. He did it the right way. I was hooked from hearing him one time.
Amen to that, his music and his spin on this genre is a breath of fresh air.🎧🙏🏻
Amen
Absolutely- so many quoted true in this documentary - stick to your instincts. Never let someone else tell you what your instincts should be.
Why would the Lord watch over him?? He always wears that Egyptian pagen sun worship necklace everywhere he goes. 😂 He clearly doesn't worship Jesus or the Almighty
It's an odd feeling to be so proud of someone u don't even know.. but I am.
These guys are the real deal. Keep on keeping on Charley and the band.
The rarest and most special talent in music today. This documentary just showed me everything I already suspected. True, real, honest. Beautiful.
It's about damn time...real country music again! Sharp-dressing quirkiness and talent, plus you can't deny how adorable he is. This blues-loving grandma has discovered Charley Crockett!😍
I have never met such a humble soul ! And I have met lots of musicians thru out my 65 years. He truly loves his fans and every member of his band is so damn talented!!!
I met him. He's so lovely. He got a little emotional because I had to give him the love. I had to tell him that we're feeling him out here. His mission is saving lives. It's working. I didn't get a chance to say everything I wanted because his energy is intense. That comes from travelling and hard living. His blues is real. He didn't ask for it but he flipped it into gold. I'm his #1 fan❤
Mr. Crockett, thank you for staying true to your roots. I view you as one of the most talented and unique artists of my lifetime.
Had the pleasure of seeing you guys at The Fox in Spokane, WA this July and y'all tore the roof down. Keep up the great work.
By far one of the best C & W artist of all times, and his band is right there too.
I'm 67 years young, and I've been a C & W fan from grade school... Charley ❤🎉
My kids are millenials.
They really appreciate all music from all eras, especially American. Charley seems to bring that millennial spirit to his music with a deep south flavor. A singer songwriter and a real showman.
A real true honest American original. 🇺🇸🤠
So cool to hear Charley's story. Glad artists like him are still able to make it nowadays. Gives hope to the rest of us...
Someone shared Charley's Trinity River video with me Friday afternoon. It's Saturday night and I've watched everything I can find on him and streamed at least 4 of his albums. Look up the term "Real Deal" and I'm sure you'll find Charley's smiling mug right there! What a great talent!
Same! Saw a show then inhaled his whole catalog overnight ❤
I thought I couldn’t like this man more but this documentary took him to the next level
Once in a generation a voice comes along that brings all your senses alive!
It doesn't get better than Charley. Run like your hairs on fire to see him live
I drove 8 hours to see him this past Saturday. Absolutely worth it.
Saw Charley last night! Took my little boy with me. It was his first concert!😊 I also caught the guitar pick he used during his set! I feel so lucky 💕
I just finally saw Charley live in Toronto a couple days ago and wow! What a show. Ive been to hundreds of shows and for the first time ever i was totally starstruck. I listen to him music daily and to see him live was overwhelming. Ill go to his shows whenever he comes to Canada and continue to support him any way i can. Thank god for Charley Crockett. Gives me hope for the future of good real country music.
What venue?
The other night at Massey Hall was my first time seeing him. What an absolute beast! You can tell he loves what he does.
@@VulgarBerserker316i went to that one as well. 2nd time seeing him now. What a great show right!? Even better than last year. He is just the best!!
@@Rawdiswarsaw him at Danforth Music Hall last july. Just saw him again at Massey Hall a few days ago. Such a great show. He’s a total legend in my books.
Charley.., Colter.., and Tyler… country is not lost in my generation 👌
I caught Charlie Crockett's set at Merlefest over the weekend.
He's the real deal.
An extraordinary blend of Country/Blues/Cajun/Texas Swing.
The man knows how to work a stage.
Great band.
I'd love to see them again.
A friend just asked me today if I had heard of this guy and I hadn't. I have been listening all day and holy shit, dude is amazing.
I'm an old rocker. I'm the quintessential metal head. I first heard Charley earlier this year and fell in love with his music. My wife and I saw Charley in July and then we saw Megadeth and Lamb of God last week. I can't decide who I enjoyed more.
You know Mustaine loves him some Charlie Crocket!
I'm in the exact same boat man
Dude, you have to check out Billy Strings! Old school bluegrass turned metal head and now plays shredding bluegrass. Also, Sturgill Simpson and Tyler Childers are great contemporary alt country artists.
I saw the mars volta in May, and charley crockett with Ryan Bingham this past weekend. Diversity is a beautiful thing!!
This man's music has truth, grit, and a whole lotta' soul!
Charley is one of the very few performers in my lifetime who immediately struck a chord in my soul. Coincidental pun aside; The fact that this man's music is something that I listen to often says a lot.
I'm a music-junkie.
I listen to radio like you watch TV.
I have alarms set on my phone to remind me when broadcasts begin; switching channels on the radio from one genre to another like you do with a television.
I have over a thousand records. I have over a thousand CDs, subscription streaming services, and I have consistently, nearly daily, come back to Charley.
I don't even want to listen to anything else right now.
I would subscribe to your music podcast if you ever do one. I have no doubt that your music collection is impressive.
Authentic yet slightly mysterious, keeps you wondering what’s coming.
I’ll repeat what I told him in Bakersfield…I’m so thankful for his music.
Cool. I’m going to see this guy tomorrow night so this will be a fantastic lead up.
@ Maximus Wolfe You’re gonna have an amazing time. Saw him in Philly a couple weeks ago. The best show and the most fun I’ve had at a concert
Lucky you. Doesn’t look like he’s coming close to me so either I’ll have to go to him or wait
Me too!!!!
This guy is saving country music thank you Charlie
Make sure you got on good fitting socks cause Charley and his band will blow them the hell off. Saw him on the 2nd. Absolutely 🔥❤
Charley, you have that rare magic glowing in your soul and presence. There may be better singers, but they don't have that magic you possess!
I heard Lesson in Depression earlier this year... Hooked from that moment on! My co-workers have been telling me repeatedly that I'm a hypocrite because I can't stand modern "stadium" country music... But I've listened to each of his albums (and so have they!!) and I can't stop! Keep it up Charley!!
Charley Crocket is far from stadium country
If u choose to stay, I can help you lose your way…
Stadium country is good but it’s pop country. This is a whole different thing
People can't taste the watered down "country" blandness of songs that are full of consumerism making people drink bush light take out a second mortgage loan to buy a jacked up truck and camo up their dog. "Rough country" dude you live in Central Illinois Your $70,000 truck has never seen a Boulder.
Corporate country is a contradiction in terms. You're not a hypocrite at all lol
Saw Charley for the first time last week in Bristol. It will most definitely not be my last. There is no way you can stand through his set WITHOUT tapping your toes and smiling from ear to ear. He absolutely has it!
just gonna say it... Charley is the NEW KING of country!!!!!!
My son turned me on to Charley
So I ordered some of his music from his place of business. Absolutely enjoy what this young man is doing. I have just been listening to the new release “Music city USA” and man this guy sure understands vibe! This album should be a CMA album of the year contender, yes folks it’s that solid. Keep the pedal all the way down Charley, damn fine job again!
I’m a huge fan brother love your music and I’m 50 !!
I’ve seen Charley twice in concert. He is the real deal and I’m glad he is doing it his way.
I wanna smoke a spliff and drink some whiskey with this legend one day
Man I would love to go eat dinner or just sit on the porch and chill with Charlie just swap stories and or just listen to Charlie talk about life
The last 5 minutes of this video are really reassuring as a die hard CC fan. I’m so glad he’s sticking to doing it all his own. I’ve really enjoyed watching the quality of his videos progress over the past 2-3 years, and just how there’s way more ways to enjoy his music outside of just listening alone. Keep doing it your own way Charley that’s what makes it what it is.
The one good thing in 2021 for me was finding Charley Crockett. Better late than never. Just saw my first show and hope for many more to come. Long live Charley. God speed and thank you for bringing truth and realism back to music.
16:30 - 17:00 was 🔥🔥🔥 Charley has a special place in my heart
Great piece of film! Love Charley… The coolest
I'm glad I've been listening to Charley for many years. And to see this now. And not be surprised. He is already a legend. Legendary. And obviously, his band of pirates are legendary too.
25:44 me and my boyfriend are in this video!! That was my 1st charley concert and the day my boyfriend asked me to be his girlfriend. We drove 3 hours to watch him play and it was worth every minute!! Now I’m obsessed!
I just discovered him very recently. Consider me a huge fan already.
I don’t like country music but I love Charley Crockett. This guy is the real deal!!!!!
Thank God for Charley Crockett. One of the best humans I have ever met. Go get 'em boss.
The more I discover about Charley Crockett the more I like him....... much love and respect all the way from Tasmania, Australia.
I’m currently driving my van to from LA to Canada and have listened to all your Albums about 4 or 5 times. Then THIS DROPS and Music City USA premieres tonight!? I could run through a brick wall as you haves and still ARE inspiring me in so many ways. As a retired combat veteran I can truly say this man has gotten me through A LOT of Hard Times! The second your tour picks back up in November you can bet your ass I’ll be driving my 1984 Westy as fast as he can go to get to online of your shows! Never change Charley.
🐊🤜🤛🐊
Keeping good tunes alive! Keep it up Charley
you are fantastic, just ordered all your cd's
There are many great musicians out there. There aren’t many artists. There’s a difference. Charley Crockett is an artist.
Never sell out to a big record company! Like you said you made it this far without em! Next time your in Brownwood Tx playing we will make sure you and the boys are taken care of! Keep on keeping on!🎶🌎
Knew from the very second I heard his voice what was up. Charley really is the real deal!
'A Stolen Jewel' is an education too. 🤘
charley is going to be bigger than we realize!🎸🎶
We love you Charlie!! Keep up the amazing work brother!!!
Charlie Crockett is the real deal! Unique in every way! Love his style & his music
Can't wait to see this legend in DC in November. Bless you CC!
music inspired by mixing cultures has always been special. Theres a magic to it.
This the real deal!!
There isn’t a man more free than Charley Crockett. Did it his way and he’s only getting better. 🤠🐊
❤🦓
Zach Bryan would beg to differ. haha
@@ComedyBros5 Zach signed with a major label.
@@RISKStudioProduction Yeah, I just read that. Unfortunate to hear, but I have faith he'll stay true to his sound/way. Wish he'd signed with Thirty Tigers like Charley did.
Stay true to the music!!
This Texas boy is loving it!
Thank you for the good music
Hope you come through Houston soon
I’ll be honest I have only listened to him for a week and thus may sound stupid but I’ve never had a favorite artist until charley crockett , favorite song is either poplar tree or paint it blue
I want Charlie to win at everything.
Brother is on another PLANET 🌎
He is a jewel of Tx.
You’re one badass, Charley, and we love you! Continue staying true to yourself!
Wow! I'm a Charley Crockett fan now -- thank you!!!!
The man the myth the legend! Charley Crockett. That's Charley with an ey and Crockett with two t's
You are the shit love your music the first son I heard was music city USA I was hooked! Love your music!
If I have a son I want to name him Charley after this Man
I never wright comments but hearing that he had heart surgery hit hard. Year a go I had hear surgery due to an infection taking out a valve. Saw you perform at the casino ballroom I’m Hampton NH this June and I can’t wait for you to come back to NH so I can see you again. Please stay away from big music and stay real and grounded to your roots.
I heard him for the first time yesterday watching RUclips videos, and he is fascinating, and his music is unique for today but reminded me of listening to old country music that my dad use to play so his music to me has this nostalgic quality about it so now I’m down the rabbit 🐇 hole 🕳️ learning everything I can about him, and the fact he is from south Texas as I am makes me more interested.
Keep rollin Charley!!!
Southeast Tx country Y'all. Im support this.
As of this comment, 1.1K Like and only 5, that's FIVE turds dislike this video. I can't think of a single other video with that kind of near unanimous approval from the most difficult crowd the world has ever known, anonymous internet folks!
As someone who travelled by hitchhiking and riding freight trains for a solid few years in my younger days, often with musicians, singers of folk songs, hucksters of tall tales and the like, as I myself have no musical talent, other than occationally filling in on the spoons or off-key backing vocals, Charley's music brings me back to those "Good Ol', Bad Ol' Days" in a real way. His experience translates and the genuine nature of the music is one of the best things in this weird old world right now. Thank you Mr. Crockett.
Very unique individual keep it going Charley ! 💗
He sings for people like me that ain’t rich plus I love his type of music!
I love the old country sound that I grew up with!
I‘m looking forward too see Charley here in Europe!
19:21 brought a grin to my face and a nod of approval
Listened to this album 10x today. I hope he comes to Kansas.
Some of the best country and western I've ever heard. Keep on, Charley, see you in Aspen.
Something in the water down there in Texas. This man is a treasure.
My Dear Friend in Lincoln, Montana told me about Charley when we visited him and his family a couple of weeks ago! Proudly Subscribed shortly thereafter...Hope he makes it out our way some day! 👍❤🇺🇸
I live up in Havre, and my uncle's the one who introduced me to Charley's music.
Loved it ever since!
Just watched him with my daughter in Billings a couple months ago. Twas great! Word is he comes every other year.
No kidding? Used to live in the Eastern part of MT and now live in the western part of ND. Gotta see him one day.
He put on a great show in Emigrant
2018 I saw 'Big Gold Mine' thanks to Gem's, been on the train ever since.. Go Charley!!
That was the fastest 45.08 mins now I am curious to where he was raised and his early life growing up definitely not like most new country music artists this is real music you can tell he is a legit guy glad I found him so I can enjoy his masterpieces keep up the good work brother
San Bernito.... Can't tell if this is sarcastic but a big section of this doc was about where he grew up and how it was in the same city as Freddy Fender.
He spent a lot of time in both NYC and New Orleans. He's true to his Texas roots, but his music is flavored with the music he learned in those places as well as deep roots music. It's something that can't be taught. So, instead of just being influenced by Texas artists and music, he lets the music from the places he's lived mix with his soul. The end result is a one of a kind artist that Nashville needs to keep their grubby claws off of. He's special in ways that pop country artists and record companies can't begin to understand. He deserves to be on mainstream radio, but not today's radio.
Great documentary! This guy is so intriguing. I love his style and I love his country/ blues fusion. Music+ art+authenticity+hard work+ Texas and NOLA roots= greatness! My husband and I had the pleasure of seeing him live and the energy from him and the band doing Run Horse Run was on fire!
great guy, great music
Fantastic! The truth. ✊🏼✨🔥
WOW
Awesome man. very nice documentary, I played the streets of europe for 15 years Mostly Sweden, Norway & Spain. Even when I started touring I'd still play the streets where the new venues where. Also did it all my way. Been writing over 200 songs and recently got more and more into country. From folk to punk, reggae to 70s rock in all kinds of bars, festivals and streetcorners. Sincerly Jonah Lake
I first heard CC while driving thru Nashville on my way to Birmingham. His music been haunting my ears ever since
Charley is definitely special 🖤
I'm blessed to be watching this
This is Great! People need this music in their lives! 🎶 🔥
What I really like is how humble and real you are
There’s just one Charley.

Bruss love from song writer from Australia live

I'm a huge fan. Already pre ordered the new album and can't wait for the next show here in Raleigh, NC.
you make my heart sing! congratulations for all the success from all the hard work. there’s nobody like you, Charlie Crockett. on my worst days, your songs pick me up. God bless you. xoxo
This man deserves to be as big has Tyler Childers, sturgil Simpson, and Zach Bryan
Charlie, I can’t wait to open for you brother. You’re it.
