- Amazon purchases can be full of surprises and this one has been interesting. I don't have a link for this specific outdoor shower because it is amazon prime day and they appear to be sold out. Also pardon the weird audio in this video, after three attempts at filming this video to fix the audio it turns out my mic pack is broken. Good thing it's prime day, new mic is in the mail.

I think the outdoor shower is a great idea. I was wondering why you didn't already have one considering all the work you do outside and to hose off the doggies. ❤️

I don’t have a pool, would love one, but I think an outdoor shower for me would be nice, I could wash up, cool off before I came into the house. I wear a swimsuit gardening, well a swimsuit top and shorts so I would definitely cool off under an outdoor shower ❤️🌸💚🙃
It is sooooo refreshing and nice to have it for rinsing off and cooling off after finishing up with thr garden chores. Makes going back in the much more pleasant when you don't feel like you have to rush to shower right when you get inside.
How long does the hot water last? Can you enjoy the warm water for 15-20 minutes and "shower" or do you have to "rush and rinse"?

The solar reservoir is about 11 gallons and that doesn't last very long. I'm drawing from last summer's memory here so this is just a ball park guess, id say 3 to 5 minutes tops.

The problem is simple. (1) They are built like crap. (2) It doesn't have a pressure relief valve. I highly recommend, (if you want it to last), that you add a spigot close to the shower, for convenience, and turn off the spigot feeding the shower after each use. Then open the shower valve so as it absorbs heat and expands, it can flow a bit of water out, rather than explode like a bomb.
horrible experience. no instructions with the shower. not intuitive. scarey video. i finally got it together but how do you know when it's full? Oh, and Amazon isn't selling it any more and "don't know when or if it's going to be available again"

it’s a great idea to have an outdoor shower 🚿 I wonder if you should bring it inside during winter? Here in Canada winters are tough on outdoor plumbing. I left the power washer in the shed last winter, big mistake, water expanded when it turned into ice and broke the plastic thingy
I made sure to talk about this in today's video bc that's a huge detail that I forgot to mention. Yes. It does have to come inside during winter. It's only two pieces that twist apart and the hose detaches easily from thr back. Package weight was 29lbs, so without water in the storage tank, it's not even heavy.
I need to get an outdoor shower for the pool as well. Chlorine be messing up my skin like crazy. If I've had a few glasses of wine I'll skip the whole showering thing & end up paying for it.
Ha! Been there! I've learned not to do that bc of the itchy skin and then waking up to sheets and pillow cases that smell like chlorine. 😆 live & learn.
Never apologize for something that makes your world better for you, and all under your roof....you deserve to treat yourself and enjoy your world....but it was nice to explain pros. and cons. I don’t even have a pool, but I want one! Every beach house we have rented over the years has always had one and there is just something about showering outdoors. Super refreshing! Of course I’d have to install some privacy walls.. but that would be so awesome after tending to my gardens all day!!
There is something extra relaxing about rinsing off outside. Same thing with the beach houses, that's actually what spurred me to get online and try and find one. Figured if they're standard for washing sand off, why not soil and/or pool water?

Lol, I remember asking you about that shower Jeff. I seriously thought about MacGyvering one using a bamboo pole plunged into a cute ceramic pot filled with concrete then topped with sand, or flowers 🤷🏼♀️, then attaching an Rv shower rig up to it. To ghetto?! Lol

@@TropicalPlantParty I’ll send you a pic when we get it done. Have to wait for these 105 deg temps subside some to get hubby out there. I like to rinse off the chlorine too and I don’t mind the water being cool, so no need for heated water here in Texas!
