I met a girl who worked on the production of Rogue One, and she confirmed to me that there is definitely a Gareth Edwards cut and she has seen it. I don't know why it seems like no one cares about this or is clamoring for a director's cut because the released movie was nearly completely different than the trailer.
When Gareth Edwards was asked about it he said that a lot of the stuff in the trailer was shot for the trailer and was never in any version of the movie, which kind of diffused the situation. It's also widely accepted that Disney "saved the movie" and Edwards has never disputed it (or confirmed it). I suppose the House of Mouse could have slapped a gagging order on him, but I think there would have been more rumours circulating from other crew members if there was a either a better or vastly different cut out there. The evidence seems to point to the fact that the cut we got was the better version and Edwards knows it. But hey Disney is basically Umbrella Corp. so who knows, if any studio has the power to silence people it's them.
Stunned that you didn't mention Superman IV. Probably the first superhero movie to receive such a drastic re-editing. 134 mins to a measly 89 mins! Fingers crossed we'll see it one day

Yeah that's right everyone, I'm commenting on the advert, which actually got my excited about something I had not heard of before, gonna follow it up by rewatching episodes until I end up buying some nordvpn and raycon and mack wheldon or whatever
A directors cut I'd like to see is the original cut of The Land before Time. The orignals director cut of the movie runs 10 minutes longer and is full of shots and scenes that steven spielberg and george lucas deemed to be too scary distressing for kids. The film as we see it today is really short and filled with jarring continuity errors as a result of lucas and spielbergs cuts, so it would be cool to see it in its original form.
Apparently Star Trek’s Rene Auberjonois had more scenes in the Batman Forever extended cut, which is why he has such a high billing in the cast list despite only making a cameo appearance at the end of the theatrical.
"I think there's a really good core idea there, that could be something", yeah its called the video games assassins creed, and the first three are amazing.
I just watched the Good Bad Flicks breakdown. Knowing all the hard work that went into The Thing 2011, it makes me really sad we didn't get the original "Pilot" version.
You should gone more in-depth than just a mention with The Thin Red Line. They recut the film around a side character and made the original main character a side character. It also had a lot of big name actors cut.
The ONLY way I would watch Batman Forever again is if they somehow had video of the "I cannot sanction your buffoonery" moment and included that in the runtime.
The thing that I find confusing from the comments is that surely those who didn't like it would want to see the version where it's more like the two they like a lot, and those who did like it would surely want to see a more 'true' version of it with some added stuff, but most people seem to be opposed to it and I don't know why. I would definitely want to watch it!
I heard there was a scene in Batman Forever where Two-Face is trying to teach Riddler how to throw a punch and he tries to deck a guard in the face and hurts his hand so he gets pissed off and just absolutely pulps him with his little question mark cane his big ol riddle stick. Also giant fruit bats are precious don't hate. ALSOOO...Blair Witch: Book of Shadows. Need the Berlinger cut, Goodbadflicks did an episode on that as well
I’d probably think of an extended version of The Lovely Bones. Since it’s not a good movie but I’ve heard of scenes that were only shown to a test audience several months before it was released. A lot of those scenes never appeared in the movie. One in particular is the original ending of the killer falling off the cliff but the audience wanted him dying more violently so Peter Jackson had to completely redo it just weeks before it had came out. Imagine what the full version would’ve been like?
For Dune, there is also a fan edit that cuts the film, rearranges certain scenes, and adds exposition pieces that provides far more context to make it more coherent
The practical effects /creatures for the thing movie looked awesome , a movie with heavy SFX is ALWAYS best when it's a mixture of practical and CGI, if they get the balance right

As for Gigli, it's not a film I've ever bothered with. Even as a fan of Martin's other works (MARV, LOOK OUT!!) it's just not one that has ever appealed to me. Probably because I never heard of the film at the time and then when I did hear about it, there was not one positive review. Wouldn’t the darker version of Batman Forever have been directed by Tim Burton. And if he did, we could have gotten Lando as Two Face, and maybe even have Keaton play Batman in another sequel. I’m so happy Keaton is coming back!
In the March of 95 I was at a test screening for Batman Forever which had a lot more scenes in it. I remember there being an extra scene with Robin appearing just prior to Batman getting blown up and Robin rescuing him. I always find it weird that it's missing in the film because it does explain why Batman call Robin as being "totally out of control".
I really like Apocalypse Now Redux. I know the part with the Bunnies and the French plantation slow things down, but for me it kinda amps up the wait for Sheen to get to Brando. I like the slow burn and the humanizing parts that get added in are kinda great for making the ending seem more earned. Anyway, I know I'm wrong and that's ok,it's fine but wrong and I'm fine, it's ok, but I'm wrong.

But hey Disney is basically Umbrella Corp. so who knows, if any studio has the power to silence people it's them.
chris1275cc I think Disney made him say that xD
I'd love to see a darker version of Batman Forever.
Stunned that you didn't mention Superman IV. Probably the first superhero movie to receive such a drastic re-editing. 134 mins to a measly 89 mins! Fingers crossed we'll see it one day
There were several scenes removed from Logan's Run (1976) in order to allow it to receive a PG rating instead of an R. Would very much like to see a fully restored version of that movie.
The Crow City of Angels was BUTCHERED and Re-shot by Harvey Weinstein because he wanted a clone of the previous film. I'm desperate to see the original version of that film.

*James* : "I wanna see someone go into the Lava and come up as skeleton."
*Me* : Might I suggest a little known Indian Movie called _Mr India_ . The villain in the movie showed off the loyalty of his soldiers by asking them to jump into a lava pit that was under his lair. _Mugambo khush hua_
I’m gonna have to check that out sounds interesting
@@ragekage3175 Disclaimer: This movie was released in the early 90s or something and it _has NOT_ aged well in terms of graphics. On the other hand, the dude who plays the villain Mogambo is the same dude who played the villain in Indiana Jones 2.
Instead of going to the link I went to search Good Bad Flicks while still watching the video. I got to "Good Bad F" and it auto completed "Good bad flicks the thing". Looks like you influenced the youtube search engine. Well done.
I don’t know if there is an Director’s Cut for JP and the Lost World but I do want to see that. Plus I want a Dark Crystal director cut.
I’d love for the 3+ hour version of Spider-Man 3. There was more Venom, Penny’s Doctor, more Harry going mad, and a darker descent for Peter with the black suit plus a possible final swing
That is a movie that would benefit from being longer. The theatrical cut piles too much in too short a time.
Props for mentioning Good Bad Flicks. Great channel.
Wait, does David Ayer think saying that there’s a director’s cut with _more_ of Leto’s Joker is a good thing?
Yes, and he's right. WB took Leto out of context. The original version is described as much better.
Even if Leto is just as bad, the original version is guaranteed to be better.
I quite enjoyed Suicide Squad in the cinema, apart from the atrocious editing at the beginning, so if they can fix that I might even watch it again.
Yes, you can complain and cry all you want, but all leto's joker needed was more scenes, he barely had any in the theatrical.
I know what people are so ow if he had more screen time. Maybe that would have made him a ok joker but the guys laugh which has nothing about screen time was just terrible that's a good sign that he shouldnt have been the joker. Also his design wasnt that good.
@NGL Boyz >Josstice League.
I see what you did there.
Holy crap, I haven't seen that image of the giant bat you used in the thumbnail in probably 25 years. Never seen that scene so that was cool to see for the first time. I remember that bat from somewhere. I'm thinking it could have been from the Batman Forever movie storybook that I owned or I'm also seeing trading cards with that image online, had a ton of those too. Wow
Im glad Mason is getting more and more involved in your vids you guys are great together
The Crow City of Angels Director's Cut demands your time. ;)
Goodbad flicks getting a shout out...awesome
There was a bunch of extra footage that was 'too gory' to be included in the theatrical version of Event Horizon that was apparently all lost in a flood or fire or something which would have been awesome to get on the bluray
I think it survives on a VHS tape, so quality wouldn't be good enough to make a Director's Cut.
All I want is that practical cut for The Thing 2011
Starring the voices of [doesn't name one of the greatest and most famous voice/mocap actors of all time]
Yeah that's right everyone, I'm commenting on the advert, which actually got my excited about something I had not heard of before, gonna follow it up by rewatching episodes until I end up buying some nordvpn and raycon and mack wheldon or whatever
UUHH That sounds interesting!! Make a video about Alien 3 please!!
I wanna see the Batman Forever directors cut.
Ridley Scott's Director's cut of Alien is one minute shorter than the theatrical version.
Whoo! Glad to see a channel this big plus GoodBadFlicks I think that was the first channel i ever subbed to
Apparently Star Trek’s Rene Auberjonois had more scenes in the Batman Forever extended cut, which is why he has such a high billing in the cast list despite only making a cameo appearance at the end of the theatrical.
Who did he play?
Thread Bomb - he was the chief doctor at Arkham Asylum
I think the practical effects make The Thing alot scarier. Even if its not more realistic, its definitely more terrifying
"I think there's a really good core idea there, that could be something", yeah its called the video games assassins creed, and the first three are amazing.
A good cut of Rise of Skywalker? Gottem!
Alonso Arana Maybe Ivan Ortega on youtube will work on it.
I can’t wait to seen the Snyder Cut
I just watched the Good Bad Flicks breakdown. Knowing all the hard work that went into The Thing 2011, it makes me really sad we didn't get the original "Pilot" version.
That The Thing idea sounds great and far more unique than what it actually became
Batman forever is dope as fuck. It's not awful at all.
The directors cut of Kingdom of Heaven is incredible. I can't watch the theatrical cut anymore.
The "Kingdom of Heaven" directors cut turns a mediocre epic into another Ridley Scott masterpiece on the same level as Gladiator imo.
"A giant man-sized Bat" aka Man-bat
Director's Cuts > Most Studio Meddling Cuts
Some director’s cut I’d love to see is Mark Webb’s Amazing Spider-Man & Jon Favreau’s Iron Man 2.
The Thing prequel! I saw the Alien Pilot in person at Tom and Alec's Studio ADI and it looked fantastic!
The practical effects /creatures for the thing movie looked awesome , a movie with heavy SFX is ALWAYS best when it's a mixture of practical and CGI, if they get the balance right
The Batman forever cut is available online. With the Arkham scene and the bat scene. Along with Bruce finding his father's journal. It's Adam version but they are offical scenes
The Sandman
"I liked it better when it was called Luficer"
CJ Meiko The Books of Magic was always a better spinoff of Sandman. Timothy Hunter was such an interesting protagonist under John Ney Reiber.
My mate Karen Bartke is in the sandman audiobook. Its awesome 😊
so cool that mr. sunday movies' guys watch "good bad flicks" ... i love both of these channels. there should be a crossover if all possible.
Apparently there's a four hour cut of Kevin Smith's movie Jersey Girl, which personally I would be interested in seeing.
@@BaranoffIsaac Sorry, Isaac. I've only just seen your replies. RUclips is a bit shit with the notifications at times. Kevin Smith himself said there was either a four hour cut or a close to four hour cut on I think his Hollywood Babble-On podcast years ago, though to be fair, he could have been exaggerating for comedic effect. As for Gigli, it's not a film I've ever bothered with. Even as a fan of Martin's other works (MARV, LOOK OUT!!) it's just not one that has ever appealed to me. Probably because I never heard of the film at the time and then when I did hear about it, there was not one positive review. Usually, reviews don't put me off as they're mostly mixed bags and I like to make my own mind up, but when every reviewer seems to agree on something, I'll take that as a warning sign :)
Wouldn’t the darker version of Batman Forever have been directed by Tim Burton. And if he did, we could have gotten Lando as Two Face, and maybe even have Keaton play Batman in another sequel. I’m so happy Keaton is coming back!
Love the Futurama jokes! Awesome!
A directors cut of 'gangs of newyork' where the whole Leo & Diaz storylines is cut completely from the film would be great
I really like Apocalypse Now Redux.
