OHHHHH SPIKE ! I’m so glad you got my mail ! So so sooooo many memories of seeing those games ! We should have invested in a few all those years ago LOL. The game prices though…. I can’t believe it. Then again if I could afford them all I wouldn’t hesitate 😂 Keep the content coming my brother !
I got a Neo Geo as a birthday gift from a bunch of friends last year. I have a few games for it but a solid collection that thankfully I didn't pay too much for. There's also a 161-in-1 cartridge available at AliExpress that has most of the essentials (KoF,Metal Slug, etc)
Nice! I use my AES quite frequently I would say. When people come over they're really interested in trying it. And fighting games are easy to get into, even for the non-gamer. Real Bout is a hit here. Oh and 50% off for the console is a really good deal. You can use the exact same cables from Mega Drive model 1.
It's Adam from RetroMoments! If anyone wants to see more Neo Geo stuff, check out his channel! He has some really good content on it! I'm so jealous you have an AES. And I was not aware of the Mega Drive cable trick... I wish I knew that... Hahaha. Oh well. Then again... I'm priced out of getting games for it anyway. Thanks for the useful info though! Good to know!
@@SpikeSetsFire Its definitely me :D Thanks man! I actually have a crazy NEO-GEO video coming soon. People will drop their jaws heh. Heh you will eventually get one, I hope. In my opinion, the cheaper games are a lot of fun too. When I got my AES I was pretty clear I wouldn't stretch out of that zone. Then something happened...
@@SpikeSetsFire Just wait for it, Spike! I've got 4 videos in the works. Been busy with work and school but they're coming soon. Its 1 of those, not sure which order I will go with. You will see :D

Nothing wrong with a neo geo mini. I have 3 aes consoles, over 20 aes games and now a few mvs, because of acquiring a consolized mvs system. Collecting since the year 2000. not a cheap habit. also own multiple minis. neo geo x with both game launches. also snk color pocket with a few games. that thing is super fun.
Own jap metal slug 2,3,4,5 , shocktroopers 2nd squad , magical drop 3 , us rage of the dragons , king of fighters 94 to 2003 , kraut buster etc . Absolutley amazing machine ! Got 70 original games so far .
Far out! I am in awe! What a collection! It's so good to hear the love for the Neo Geo and read about collections like this. Thanks, Richard! Also, I'm very jealous. Hahaha!

@@SpikeSetsFire YES..!! PS1 was my firs introduction to Tekken! If you've played it, who was your favourite character ? I have to say that I was religiously playing Brian.. although I'm not sure if he first came into it in tekken2
Yes! Big Tekken 2 fan!! I played a lot of Paul and King. What a game! Spent a lot of hours on Tekken Tag Tournament on PS2, as well. Brian was tough as nails!
@@SpikeSetsFire Yea there were a good few of my brothers playing... (he was the angry player and the reason we went through so many controllers)
My brother out of the blue a couple months back decided he wanted to build a PAL N64 game collection, and although not as crazy as this video, it will end up costing him a pretty penny if he finishes it. Games like Paper Mario, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Snowboard Kids 2 (all of which we actually had at one point and in relatively good condition🤦♂) go for over $1000 for "complete in box". The worst thing about it is that it's made me want to do a Gamecube one. 😂

@@SpikeSetsFire Oh for sure, only have to look at ones like Pokemon Box Ruby and Sapphire (which is not even a game, lol), Mario Party 6 and 7 with the microphones, and Gotcha Force (which I actually have. I don't ever remember picking it up or where I found it, but it's topping out at $900 atm!)
@@Se4nusable Woah! You hit the jackpot! The prices are just getting ridiculous. Mario Party with microphones are going for a lot, are they? Interesting! I wonder if it's worth doing a GameCube video. I guess eventually I'll get there! Haha. You've inspired me!
Are the prices for those game different from another store? Or is it every shop Gunna be the same price cause wow heavy price. I would imagine the reason for it because it wasn’t produced allot allot of it.
Since reading your comment, I went to a few other stores in my local area that weren't featured in the video. Saw about 20 games that weren't so rare, like Art of Fighting and World Heroes, etc... They were all 2x or 3x the price as what Akihabara had them.
Great question, SysLink. Really makes me wonder... It would probably be the Super Nintendo and Street Fighter II Turbo. The console is timeless, and I just love that game so much. How about yourself??
Yes! How fun is it!! You know what I find, Venom, the first boss seems to be ridiculously harder on the Game Gear. Something about the bombs height... seems a bit off!
It would be nice to own a part of retro video game history. But personally, I'd just emulate those games on an Xbox Series X or a jailbroken Playstation 3.
Haha, I know what you mean, Ridley. I'd love to own one too. But unless it falls off the back of a truck, I'll just have to settle for playing the mini or going to the arcade.
I'll have to buy some of those Super Potato chips sometime! But ehh, I don't think I'll try buying Neo Geo games.. think I'll just stick with my ROMs and emulators 😅
