Love it......& the fact that it's a manual as well just seals the deal for me.

When driving an R8 quickly you absolutely need to get the safety belt in the locked position and keep it there (unless you have a 3 or 4 point harness). Move the seat slighthly backward, pull forward on the safety belt as quickl as you can and lock it. Then move the seat forward again to keep it locked in. If you don't follow this procedure the g forces (which will go beyond 1 g in curves according to a smartphone accelerometer) will throw you around in the seat and limit your ability to control the car and to feel what the car is doing. You need to be strapped into the seat very firmly in order to feel the feedback from the car and the road.

Jason, they are Rotrex centrifugal superchargers. The car makes 30% more power than stock right off the bat but as Jack had not driven a stock V8 he wasn't aware of how much better it was at the bottom end compared to stock. I normally tell people that the bottom end is great, the mid range is awesome and the top end ballistic. It will pull from 400rpm in top gear and there is no lag. With a 0-100 in 7 seconds and a top speed gear limited to 206mph it is a great machine. business.facebook.com/TTSPerformanceTuning/videos/1405957929427173/

It is fast by any measure, my comment on the peaky nature of the installation is really only with comparison to the same installation on an RS4 which seems to have more power lower down..but much less up top. Also when I say 'peaky' I only meant again in comparison to the RS4 kit, there is plenty of midrange there.. it's just that the top end is so ballistic that the rest shrinks by comparison. As Richard mentions it is perfectly tractable at any revs and an awesome power unit.
