I congratulate you for the way you render the power graph like this, it is much more representative than how you did it before. congratulations, keep it up
Did you crank the engine while having the i intake manifold off? Half of the cilindres valves will be closed and the others open. Or did you crank it by hand?
@@regalworkshop4366 Do you have experince of the Rislone Hy-Per Petrol complete system cleaner? You think its a product thats safe to use one a 2017 GTI Clubsport? Also whats your opinion on Oil Cleaners, i heard they can damage valves on new cars so i assume its a No, on newver cars..?
Raj, there are lots of variables when it comes to the build-up and whilst mileage is one of them, from the ≈ 50+ RS4/R8 V8/R8 V10/Gallardos we've done, low mileage cars can suffer just as much as high! @3DFX - we haven't used the products you are talking about but we'd always be cautious about using injector system cleaners and 'oil cleaners', the risk of failure is often higher then the potential reward.
What an amazing engine.
Indeed!

Thanks for the feedback! We're always looking for ways to improve
Get the intake port dividers teflon coated, prevents futher build up massively.
Nice idea! Have you tested your idea?
Have them in my R8 now, still evaluating. @@RegalAutosport
Unbelievable gains from just a clean!!
The full screen graph at the end was a nice edition as opposed to the split screen on previous vids 👍
Absolutely!! Thanks for the feedback, we'll see if we can do this on the future videos
Incredible video. Ill be doing this soon ❤
Awesome!! Hope you get an awesome result
Why wasn't walnut shell carbon blasting/cleaning not used?
Why weren't the injectors removed, sonic cleaned and flow tested?
1) Walnut shell is not the only cleaning media that can be used, but it is certainly the most publicised
2) Customer did not approve it
@@RegalAutosport True.
Educate the customer.
This is not a head gasket. It is intake manifold gasket.
Thank you for sharing

Yes we take this into account whilst working, cleaning the closed cylinders and blocking off the open ones.
Hi guys, At what mileage would you recommend to have a carbon clean? I have a 2015 R8 Spyder on 30k miles.
Have seen some with as little as 20k on with bad carbon build up so always good to get them checked!
@@regalworkshop4366 thank you for coming back to me.
