Whoa whoa whoa- You must interview that Park Ranger. I'll bet he has hundreds of stories!
"that's one of the SILLIEST things you could do" thank you for keeping it clean so my whole family can enjoy your videos! 👍🏻
Yes I love that
Wind and current isn’t an excuse……it’s part of boating……..just like having lines and fenders ready……..before you get to the dock.
Yeah, it's kind of like watching a video of somebody failing to snowboard and being like "man, the snow's really giving that guy some trouble, he's sliding and falling everywhere."
@@theheresiarch3740 Spell check
What do people have against lines? You kinda need them to dock.
Lines cost more than boats in South FL
It's like driving a car without a parking brake/parking gear.
Docking tip: Have a line about 15' long (or appropriate for your length boat) attached to your your bow cleat or midship cleat on the dock side of your boat. With someone holding this coiled line, approach the dock at an angle and either loop the line around a pilon or throw it to someone on the dock and have them do it. Next, turn your engine so it's facing the dock. Put your engine in forward gear and when the bow line / midship line gets taught, your stern will come up to the dock and stay there. You could even get out of your boat and it will go nowhere.
it amazes me how many boats are totally unprepared to approach the dock.
your procedures SHOULD be second nature, they are to me and I'm not a boater!
Oldesalt and Greg. Agreed. Midship line or Transom is a favourite of mine. Keeping the engine slow ahead will keep the boat tight on the dock. Why is it that not a single Captain in this video has even rudimentary docking capabilities?. Someone (Me ?) could make a nice living out of teaching these people how to avoid damaging their craft.
I would say you should have a line at least 2 25' ropes even with these small boats. That length allows you to pass the line to your dock hand regardless of the position of the boat. Once the person with one line steps onto the dock, the second can be tossed to them.
The greater length also allows you to create massive mechanical advantage, I believe it is a 3rd class lever. Run the line to the far-side of the dock, secure it then step on the line in the middle part that is over the dock so you don't risk falling in.
Once the boat moves you can sweat the line in (take out the slack you have created) and repeat the process if needed.
At 13 I could move a 45' 15 ton sailboat against the wind doing this.
What does facing the dock mean? Won't that make the stern leave the dock?
@@dethmaul Turned as though you are trying to make a turn to port.
Some entrepreneur could make a tidy living with a stand selling boat hooks, bumpers, pre-cut lines, and spare drain plugs.
Broncos you use the term " captain " very loosely. 😁
Only if you ASSUME the title grants SKILL...........ROFLMAO OBVIOUSLY NOT!
Agreed, but the person who is in charge of the boat is either Captan, Skipper, etc. The title doesn't infer Skill. Unfortunately.
If laughter really is the best medicine then there's at least 102 k healthy folks in the World.
Its a universal rule of boating. Empty Coolers = Good Videos. And if you reduce your playback speed to 50% Bronco sounds just like most of them!
5:25; Jumping off a boat w/o line in hand. Can never figure that one out.
The white truck had 4WD. You definitely need it on those ramps. Can’t believe those ramps are smooth like with no type of grip!
Agreed. It went up too easily to be 2wd.
Fred might have been trying to grab a nice mullet lunch.
I can feel the noise that tarp would make at speed. I'm literally getting queasy thinking about it.
The crocs name is “Fred” LOL
3:52 I do believe that is Fred going after some mullet. He thought he was going to get that little dog. Now he's like I guess mullet will have to do today.
Jeeps . . . saltwaters snack of choice ❤❤
bullsharks love busy boat ramps
Besides rarely having fenders deployed and lines ready, I don’t recall ever seeing any sort of boat hook in use. Maybe because I don’t think there are any cleats on the dock to grab. But the ones with a big loop on the end might work in some instances to hold position.
Got to give to that white RAM!
That white truck was riding low oncr they were up on the flats. That was a very heavy boat.
Whew, 2nd boat had a close one. I paused the video out of fear for him, then realized that I couldn't help at this point and un-paused the vid.
LOLOL
Fish just wanted to make an appearance on the Miami Boat Ramps channel. LOL
The dog tried to escape disaster
These videos show why there are those who support requiring a license to operate a boat.
Awhile back a man who retired from our state was swimming near a dock down in Florida when a school of fish came in. Within in the school was a bull shark that attacked and killed him.
This Video seemed kinda Fishy !🐟🐟🐟🐟😂🤣
Your videos are always good but that one seemed extra good!
definitely gonna bring my little tacoma and my 23fter down here once I get it just to make it on the channel haha
Mullets love boat ramps they eat the algae
EL D.A.D.E. County. For those of you not familiar with DADE county go drive around for a couple of hours...sorry that could be a few miles. What I meant was try to drive for a few hours, 826, 836, US1, are nice. LOL
imagine how all these people drive their cars/trucks...
Anyone else get frustrated in these videos with people who tie up to the ramp to then get their trailer when there are multiple people on the boat? If you try to do this in the midwest prepare to be yelled at. Drop off your trailer driver and patiently float away from the ramp until your trailer has picked a lane. This is boat ramp 101 apparently everywhere else except southern Florida.
Yes that's what we have to do in Indiana.
Typically solo boaters and captains are the only ones that have the skill to drive the trailer and the boat while the passengers don't have a clue on either. In those cases it is fine to leave the boat at the dock while you fetch your trailer.
lmao i boat by myself but kinda get what you are saying
@@biodot88 Solo boaters get an exception out here :) I will add that most tie up at the far end of the pier which would allow someone to come in and launch without blocking the ramp
You must have forgotten, FLORIDA, the place where bad things go to happen....... LOL
watching these videos confirm that most "weekend boaters" shouldn't be allowed to even buy a boat
⚓ on 👍
It would help if they would take down their canvus tops, to stop the wind from pushing the boat.
I dont see anyline "which probaly make more sense ,since I look at the boat" lmao
Dogs on Boats. Or as the crocs call them: Meals on keels.
Seriously though, in Africa people keep dogs on their boats so that when crocs come they can distract the croc by tossing them the dog.
I see those size bunker in NJ Raritan River and Bay All the Time!!! Its like there is too much bait in June and July for Bunker spawning season!
The Bird in the Raritan Bay are FAT CATS
3:53 Fred come into the Swim In
I havt put my boat in the water on a weekend in over 20yrs...my boating is done Mon-Thrs only...i go out there 2 relax n get away from Humans..
I have seen Dexter. I know what's in those garbage bags.
that last boat struggling to get out on the trailer seemed to be too heavy for that tuck as seen by the backend slumping as it drove off.
Whole situation was weird. No lines. No fenders. Didn’t see registration, etc
So many in and out, what a way to make some money.
Finally came to Miami!!
Mute for best viewing pleasure
At 6:30 Again NO DOCK LINES !!! They are Total BOOTCAMPS !!!
Do they not have boating courses in Miami area?
The actual question should be: Does anyone TAKE the boating classes offered in Miami?
Name the alligator contest.
I need to start ending sexy time with "and speaking of getting outta here..."
Viva Cuba.!!!
Whatever it was hit the boat
the one with the trash bags maybe they were cleaning up biscayne bay where all the boats anchor together to party. Also that same boat was way too big for that truck the tires were almost touching the wheel wells
Its not necessarily too big for that truck, but the weight distribution is definitely off on that trailer. Tongue weight should be about 3-10% of the load which Im betting there were closer to 20%. Also, they need a drop hitch to get the truck and trailer level. Simply moving the boat back on the trailer would have worked wonders for that squat.
The last boat and trailer out was not well balanced on the hitch, but that may have actually helped on the pull with the extra body for weight.
Yeah, u could see it squatting real nasty. Lot of weight on those leaf springs.
No MOORING LINES? Wow.
Sometimes Bronco’s narration is more for effect than reality. That last white RAM pickup stopped midway up to engage the 4wd. Then he was able to pull out with no fuss. Had nothing to do with his buddy standing on the bumper
How do you know that?
i cant take this
Would these same people buy a Cessna and just “go flying”?
I sure wouldn't put it past them
Mullet
no 4wd sold in florida? and not only that the motor was still down
Why do so few people use fenders at this dock? Just wonderin'.
Don’t you have 4 wheel drive trucks down there. Four wheel drive will pull right out
6:00 - Wy don’t they have any lines??
Thank you for your incompetency show.
Sadly no one wears their kill switch. Maybe we should steal their drain plugs, till they start wearing them!
people need to have their lines ready / Wind and current are no excuse for being a bad captain
What type of fish were those?
6;12, how do they forget dock lines and fenders. What the heck.
High speed chicken feed in the trash bags
dat gator!
All that white smoke 💨 is not a great sign….
Too much oil
😳🐟
All the people talking about lines and fenders forget this is in FLORIDA, just about everything is ASS BACKWARDS...
I swear... these people are a bunch of yahoo's. From no lines out to fighting over a dock to panic at the helm... remind me NEVER to take my boat to any of these launch ramps. I don't even dock. I drop off my guy to back the trailer up I drive on and I'm out.
Dock Lines, Dock Lines, what are they?????
do people not have 4x4s in miami ?.. are they just street princesses?..
How do the operate these boats???? Forward and revers are your friend. Unbelievable
Again ... a RWD truck pulling a big boat.
ROPES! GET THE ROPES OUT AND USE THEM! WTF
large plastic bags coming into Miami?...HMMMMM
Amazing the level of idiocy… and then they get in a truck and drive…
How do these people own boats lol
👍👍😎⚓
Why would anyone who's enjoying the good life of America fly only a Cuban flag from his boat.
Some people shouldn't even own a boat period
WHY....... I DON'T BOAT ANY MORE
Why aren't you at Boynton ramp anymore??
We are at 3-4 ramps every weekend. Boynton has full coverage and a video will be dropping soon. No worries! 👍
@@WavyBoats Awesome!! We were afraid you weren't going to Boynton anymore. That's our favorite ramp to watch (because our local one). Thanks for all your posts. We are always entertained!
Wish you could be the only one at black point others there just talk too much chicrap ,its just too annoying
Is Fred an alligator or an actual crocodile?
Fred is an American Crocodile
This boat ramp is on the intercoastal waterway so it’s salt water that being the case I would say he would be an American crocodile Alligators can tolerate salt water for short periods of time but they really don’t like it and they wouldn’t spend so much time in salt water
Que arroz con culo con esa gente 🤦♂️
i say its drugs
5:05 Dead bodies and drugs obviously...
Time to unsub from this channel if you're going to be using Click-Bait thumbnails
Trash, camping gear, chopped up body… who knows?!
I'm sorry but I think the flag he was flying has a lot to do with his inability to operate a boat safely sorry I just call em like I see em
Please stop with the "my guy" "our guy".
It is annoying. Just say this guy or these guys or people, etc.
No, Broncos, just keep laying it on Thicke. This channel highlights people being outrageous!
More examples of people too stupid to equip their boat with a $40 boat hook.
Garbage.....yeah.....that's what it is coming into miami....garbage. Bahaha!
I got to say it there is a lot of dummies down there
Enough with the Jeep jokes dude. That was one incident that was 100% operator error. It had nothing to do with the vehicle.
Calm down bud.
