When I did my HGV 3 (way back in 1979) I got a cone caught between the 2 back wheels ! The examiner pulled it out and asked me to repeat the manoeuvre 😂. We got away with so much more back in the day !

One thing to watch out for is that the cones may not be exactly the same as the practice runs with your instructor. For example the bay cones. These are supposed to be at the length of the vehicle but you can end up not having a metre (or more) that you are used to having. You may be coming at a steeper angle.
It is also of course completely to your advantage to drive up closer to the left cone at the beginning, as long as you are still straight.
Keeping the wheel to the line isn't really something that comes up in real life, but it is what it is.
I'm so nervous. I have never even driven a truck before. Please pray for me!

Hi do you have to read number plate before hgv test? I believe you don't have to due to already having done medical
So if you pass on Cat C 2 axle,does this mean you can drive 32 tons or 26 ton 6 legger,or 8 legger???

Is you allowed to take out the head from the window the time you reversing to the bay or you to go beck by guiding mirrors
Yes you allowed to have your head out of the window and also you do not need to have your seatbelt on

Did five class 2 tests, failed the reverse the first time, nailed it all their other times.

Alex Fisher - passed class 2 at 5th attempt. Failed class 1 three times, although I did the uncoupling/recoupling and reverse no problems each time. Got robbed on 1st and 3rd tests. Had to wait all this time for a retest since the lockdown. All rearing to go when I can, after restrictions are lifted.
