Good stuff. I'll share this with my brother & friends I've dragged kicking & screaming into 6.5 Grendel the past few years. Literally have 10 guys who had never heard of it using it now after trying my Sgt of Arms 18" AR, CZ 527 26.5" Varmint and 16" Palmetto State. I have several more, but those are extremely consistent with the same loads

That barrel shoots really well and it is not even "seasoned" yet, could possibly shoot even tighter. Very glad to see the Diamondback barrel is shooting well for you. Maybe I do "need" a 6.5 Grendel in the stable, lol. I believe you said it was the Type 1 that uses the 7.62x39 bolt?
Yes this barrel is a type 1. I’m running the faxon bolt that was like $60
@@thegundungeon Very nice. Gotta love when a "budget" build shoots lights. I use a Faxon BCG in one of my 350 Legend builds, they are nice. But I just happen to have an extra 7.62x39 complete BCG from Gorilla Machining out of Florida and a few other parts laying around. Dang you and your video, lol. you might want to try 30 grains of CFE223 under the 123SST with CCI 400 primers. 3/4" 3 shot groups with my 18" hvy barrel BCA 1:8 5R
SS uppers. I do not shoot 5 shot groups because I use mine for hunting and you never get more that 3 shots at deer, if that! The non fluted one gets 2389 avg velocity and the fluted one gets 2415FPS. Go figure.
I used some cfe in the work up coming up
Are you going to build up another upper with the BCA barrel? I wouldn't change this setup.....
