It’s the way they plan the script. They’re very creative and never run out of ideas for all their characters.
It's just the fact that being able to reset the timeline over and over creates an infinite plot, which is not as good personally

It's just making reference to their past games, the timelines are always the same for some reason, there are very few (even if welcomed) changes so that it doesn't feel as a reboot but rather a minor twist. If they decide to not continue in an unique way and just keep having the same, I'll honestly surrender. I'm not a big MK fan anymore as the new games are not for me to invest into

I love how they flipped Liu Kang and Raiden and their relationship is the same in reverse. Whoever came up with the script for this Mortal Kombat deserves a raise. The series needed a reset and they did it well.

I absolutely loved the dlc story in mk 11 and I love the fact they did not ignore it for this game
Roumours are that the DLC came afterwards because they they knew that in this mk seeing Shang tsung as Titan would be confusing, so with dlc they could fix many plot hole while adding content so players could be happy (finally something good from dlcs)
I enjoy how it makes all the arcade endings from MK11 be considered canon as alternate timelines

Kind of surprised me considering this is a WB production. Would of thought they would have tried to pull out one of their properties with it. But still very fun.
They mixed the Armageddon and deadly alliance storylines and revamped it. I like it

I love the fact that Bi-Han and Kuai Liang’s brotherhood is more shown here, we have Bi-Han’s brash way of acting but Kuai Liang will always correct him slightly or in such a way to make it seem like what Bi-Han was saying was not disrespectful, and then the change from the betrayal makes it show their idea’s full fleshed out,, Bi-Han, always the best but wanted more power and more respect, and Kuai Liang, tradition holding, but gentle, who only wanted what was best, then theres Tomas, the one who wanted to make sure he had a place to go to.
Only problem is it clashes with Bi-Hans characterisation every other time he appeared. But I guess new timeline and all you can just excuse that can't you?
Well if we think about it, in the previous timeline Mortal Kombat was given to the Lien Kuai (might’ve butchered that) but in the new one, Liu Kang didn’t let Sub-Zero enter the Tournament, meaning that all he knew what Earth and never got the chance to defend properly, Kuai Liang also was a nicer person than his brother who also saw more of reason then emotion, so that was a given.

This might literally be the best looking video game I've ever seen. In 4K, there were many times where I forgot I wasn't looking at real actors (especially Quan Chi, he looks photorealistic). Even the gameplay parts look less like CGI and more like the digitized actor scans they did in the original trilogy. If you showed this to people back in 1992, they wouldn't even question it.
The Armageddon segment was a real treat to watch with all these different versions of fighters

Guard of thunder is definitely Li Mei. They key is in the name. Guard. A protector. Which is what a forst constable

What's interesting to note is that in the scene where Shang Tsung gets offered power, the developers tell you who is the actual benefactor if you pay attention to the dialogue. "I am your deliverer, Shang Tsung" after current Shang Tsung asks who the person is.

This is by far my fave mk out of all remakes - the story is just outstanding and crossbreeding deadly alliance with armageddon is just brilliant. I think that apart from havik we will also see onaga in the next installment.

Like how the game implement iconic characters as grunts and the Test Your Strength as one of the quick time events. Mortal Kombat 1 has a lot of creativity combining all the elements into the story mode.
i had no clue they would basically be revamping the MK games from my childhood into one. the final part gave me such nostalgia from my childhood playing MKDA and MKA with my dad. easily my favorite MK game since the OGs and i loved MKX but this masterpiece takes the prize.
Thank you for not removing any scenes that had blood, I tried watched story mode on a different channel before yours but they skipped/cut out any part that had blood which kinda ruined it for me

This has left me breathless... This is the first mk game i have actually gotten into. Ive played some other games once or twice but something about this version of characters and their designs is amazing, I really want to see what comes next in this story.

It started off amazing until, we find out it’s not a reboot but basically continuing of Mk11. This is MK12 not MK1. It cheapens Liu Kang’s new universe as just another of many. This timeline and multiverse trope needs to die already🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️

I'll be honest, I didn't know how I felt about the new origins for Sub-Zero/Scorpion/and Smoke when they were first introduced, but I like it now.
I just don't like that Bi Han has Vegeta's voice. It's so distracting and doesn't really fit his look lmao also I wonder what happens to Hanzo in this timeline? Doesn't exist? Or... Maybe he will somehow become Noob Saibot. Who knows after all we've just witnessed lol but excited to find out nonetheless.

I only started following the MK story since MKX but among the 3 story walkthroughs ive watched (MKX, MK11, MK1) this is easily the best hands down.
Love it when all the good guys they worked together strongly. Always rewatching those chapters like 6, 7, 11 and 12.
Enjoyed this walkthrough a lot, and I remember when I first watched it I was like omg so many plot twists, well written!
