The why is easy, because he knows he can never trust anyone after the death of his mother. His mother was the only person that ever loved him, so naturally after he drowned, came back and saw his mother beheaded, he gave up his humanity in exchange to quench his never ending thirst for revenge.
For those that don't know why "debts of gratitude are often dearly paid", when you saved a warrior's life in battle in the ancient world, you often owed your savior a "Life Debt". That debt can be paid by answering the summons of the savior and risking your life to fight for them or you travel with them until such a time as you're able to save their life in return. Doesn't sound bad, right? Well consider the fact that Kratos (GOW 1-2) has been known to sacrifice ALL of his allies in pursuit of his revenge.
People are saying how humble Rambo is, and I agree. But can we appreciate my favourite, the Terminator? He was merely following orders, found a device that could shorten the length of time it would take to achieve his goal, but along the way realised his battle was M.A.D, and did a noble thing - instead of just letting it happen, he made them coexist. Not only that, but he sunk into the never ending sea of blood to prevent anything undoing what he did.
Imagine his finisher he throws a nade to blow the opponents legs off, and an ice bomb to freeze them in place, then he meat hooks to them, flame belches to defrost the person, then he super shotguns their rib cage open to expose a beating heart, combos precision bolt to pop their head and finishes with chain sawing their heart and loot explodes every where.
A shame that joker isn’t voiced by mark hamill. For whatever reason, mark hamill refused to ever do the joker if Kevin conroy wasn’t doing Batman. Apparently this includes games that don’t even have Batman, which seems kinda odd. I get that Kevin conroy was a great guy and voice actor, but this is almost an obsession

KOMBAT TOWER ENDING FOR YOR FORGER:
I continued taking care of my family by day, as well as doing spy missions by night; having a double life by doing both was worth it. When I saw Kano interfering during one of my spy missions, I made the mistake of elbowing him in the jaw; he ran through a portal, with me following.

A year later, Takeda and a girl named Jacqui Briggs got married; even though a guy named Jax was against it, he attended the wedding anyway as I sat next to him in the front row just to comfort him. It was the saddest time of his life, but not for me; it was actually the best.
