Does anyone else think that the choreography for the cutscenes is simply amazing? The attacks and movements are fluid and have tangible weight behind them, and a lot of characters get to have their personal fighting styles portrayed accurately as individuals (Johnny with his exaggerated movements like flip kicks and splits, Jax throwing heavy haymakers, Sub-Zero using his ice only to supplement his already impressive technique as opposed to relying on it, etc)
Chreography from swordsman and martial artists view: They arent that great. Overswings, useless flashy moves, enemies waiting their turn and etc... But it is fun to watch.

This game's cutscenes really were filmed a lot like a movie. They used actual custom environments instead of just re-using stages like MK9 did. It's very professional and just makes me like the presentation a whole lot more.
It looks like they are even going further in the next installment, with that crazy and funny plot involving time travel and younger or alternate versions of many characters facing each other. Lot of potential for unexpected twists and interesting situations that fans cant wait to see. The story mode in the fighting games is a secondary aspect but still relevant part that developers use to neglect. Since the MK2011 reboot Netherrealm is giving to the plot the attention it deserves, with enhanced cutscenes and more depeloved general storyline, resulting in a more cinematic and interesting tone that improves the game.

If I'm being honest; I don't think the difference is that massive, it's big but not gigantic.
I still think MKX has wonderful graphics for a game that's seven years old now :D
I think the jump from mk9 to mk10 was bigger, but each of the last 3 entries in the series has been a huge leap.

Johnny Cage's opening narration was awesome, the music, the cinematography and the statues mirroring the events all give this an awesome setup. Although, not as stunning as Mortal Kombat: Deception's opening scene, it is still up there with my favorites, TBH.

This is an interesting line. Raiden mentions that the snare left behind by Kano could only be disabled after he travelled to many strange realms. And we also see at 52:52 that Raiden is cut off while talking to Sonya, which is likely the moment the snare was activated.
I think this is a subtle nod to Raiden's appearance in Injustice. Kano's snare caused him to be teleported to another multiverse ("many strange realms"), where Injustice takes place, making his appearance in that game canon.

What I learned in this video: 1) The Lin Kuei temple has an ungodly amount of stairs, which all Sub Zero's subordinates need to haul ass up if they want to speak to him; and 2) Sub Zero spends at least a portion of his day lording in an enormous throne room.
Sounds like the life to me. The lording, not the hauling ass up the stairs thing, although I’m fairly certain those stairs factored into basic training somehow.
He probably made them so big so he could make an ice sled and slide down
I loved the look on Liu Kang's face when Dark Raiden asserted himself. He went from vengeful revenant to "Welp, we are so fucked."
The funniest thing is watching them say an "intimidating" line before a fight only for the video to cut to them knocked out on the floor half a second later.

I just got back from playing MK11 and decided to revisit X's storyline. I really admired X's storyline going its own way while still taking liberties from what happened in the original timeline like the rise of Shinnok. It also paved the way for character development and relationships, which is what NetherRealm Studios exceeds in.
