If the next addition is family, then I want a Big Bear style multi-launch from Vekoma. I could not get enough of Big Bear during my last visit to Dollywood. C’mon Hershey, make it happen.
Agreed!! I loved Big Bear so much, I went at the very end of August and there wasn’t many lines, it was literally empty and I rode it 5 times in a row.
Haven't watched yet, my moneys on a multi launch, whether it be B&M family like penguin trek or phoenix rising, surf coaster, Vekoma like big bear or abyssus, or maybe an intamin like taiga, although that is unlikely. Up by chocolatetown. Another thought, mack powersplash/launched water coaster where tidal force is. Something like aquaman or similar to krampus.
There's nothing going into the parking lot next to the claw there is still events going on in the arena and that parking is also used for higher up park employees
Katie any recommendations on how to approach magic kingdom saw you were just there. I go down with the family in a few weeks should I get a reservation for tron first ?
Awesome video Brandon! Now, out of all the possible locations and coaster types that you mentioned, the location that HersheyPark could build their next coaster would be the land right next to Candymonium. I’m definitely in with the idea of adding a family multi-launch coaster in the area.
If I’m being honest I don’t think a coaster would be replacing Tidal Force. It’s quite popular, and it’s running perfectly fine, and I’m pretty sure they added a new chain lift about a year ago.
It’s a ticking time bomb it’s been plagued with issues. The belt was replaced in 2022 supposedly the last one in existence. This year water pump. It is a popular ride no doubt I love it. It’s a 30 year old ride bottom line
Love to see a mega coaster aka millenium force remove the arena hasnt been really used other then storage for years. Anything done move to Giant Center and how about we add padded seats to the stadium since we have all these killer concerts each year. :)
Love your predictions, Brandon! Of the 4 options, I think you’ve sold me on a big bear mountain type coaster next to Candymonium. That would be a big win!
I had a pass at Hershey and I met few people who wanted to ride Wildcat’s Revenge and were traumatized by it cause well they thought it was a simple retrack. Wild moose would be a good warm up coaster for these people.
Hey Brandon! What about a Surf Coaster? It would be a completely new experience at Hersheypark and would be the first located over northeastern US. Because we know that KD will most likely get a Wing Coaster in 2025 which is not too far away from Hershey!
A Mack Extreme Spinner, any giga, or a Intamin multi-launch coaster would make Hershey have the best coaster lineup of any park in the world. Better than, Cedar point, Kings Island, Energylandia, Magic Mountain, ETC. They would also have the best top three coasters out of any park in the world.
When I was there in '23 the GP was riding rides like Laugh Track, the Tidal Wave ride, Skyrush, Jolly Rancher Remix, & Candymonium. Meanwhile, I had a walk on some of their most iconic rides: Storm Runner, Lightning Racers, even Wildcat's Revenge didn't have but a 10-15 minute wait. It blew my mind that people were waiting an hour for an indoor kiddy ride while me and my brother rode Wildcat, Lightning, Storm Runner, & Great Bear in less than that time. Hershey was running 1 train for their most (in)famous coaster Skyrush. I think the park needs more family coasters. As an enthusiast though I ain't complaining about all the intense rides. I think a huge coaster (over 250'), a crazy looping coaster, and a few family rides would make this park's lineup perfect. I think a Winged coaster is a great idea. A surf would do well - could theme it to melted chocolate. A terrain coaster of some sort would do well there. I'm just not that enthused by B&M but I get it. They're like Subarus: boring but reliable.
I think the B&M wing could definitely fit in the front by Candymonium, I would love to also see a mini B&M dive in Tidal Forces plot, Wild Mouse could definitely be removed for waterpark expansion. Any sort of Mack launch coaster would definitely fit behind Claw or behind Candymonium. My swing for the fences predictions are a flying coaster of some kind or an extreme spinner. (Sorry if this is rambling a bit, Hershey is my home park and I love it so much)
maybe they could get a surf or a family B&M launch coaster... cause I think they really could use another high capacity family coaster & another high capacity less intense launch coaster
If they do another B&m I’d love to see it be launched. Hershey needs another launch coaster to differentiate form the intense whippy ride that Stormrunner offers (that I adore). Still, I think something along the lines of a B&M surf coaster or a Launched Wingrider would be a nice fit for the park. Also could see a family style one from either them or Vekoma depending on how Penguin Trek is received at Seaworld Orlando. My next three I could see are: 2027: Family Launch Coaster (B&M, Vekoma, or Intamin) 2031 or 32: Launched B&M Wing Coaster 2036: Intamin or Mack Rides Giga Coaster that will run along side the park next to the area you mentioned for the B&M. Make it run along the parking lot, and have low to the ground elements like I305, but with airtime and less laterals.
Congrats on finding 4 spots in the park where the next coaster could be built without removing any existing coasters. I could only think of 2 spots haha. Although something to think about is besides Wildcat the park has not removed any coasters since 2012. With the park being very landlocked it may come time to remove another coaster from the park. The only question is what coaster will be next to bite the dust at Hersheypark? Trailblazer? Superdooperlooper? Only time will tell.
I really like the idea for a wing coaster, i've never been on one before! I also haven't been on a dive coaster before, and I live close enough to Dorney to try that!
Two issues to think about. First a Vekoma family boomerang doesn’t have great capacity. I think it will work great with holiday world but Hershey gets more coaster traffic. I think the big bear mountain type coaster makes more sense. Rode 2 in Europe. One had a single rider line which helped. The other had a pretty long wait and it wasn’t the biggest park. Second point I think we need to hold off on parks putting in the new Mack Stryker coaster until after people actually ride it. If it is most compared to a bigger Big Dipper model, the Big Dipper in my opinion was fun when I ride lost gravity but it isn’t for everyone and it would be a tough coaster to marathon. I think the new coaster at Europa looks great but I doubt Hershey is rushing to get one. I think the Vekoma family coaster and something with higher capacity from B&M make more sense.
I believe that parking lot is some of the staff parking - the season pass lot is on the end of it, right below Hersheypark Stadium. I wouldn't be surprised if Hershey moves to a parking garage for some of it's spaces in the future, as expanding into those parking lots is one of the few ways they can add land to the park at this point. I think the best bet for the park and the most likely choice is a family coaster by Candymonium. They need something else in that part of the park, because Candymonium is the only draw at the moment. That area of the park is dead by mid-day. They have added two high-thrill coasters in the last three years, so a more family-focused option makes sense. They could still use B&M via one of their two new family models after seeing how they are received at Sea World and BGT respectively.
I was there 3 times last year got some thoughts here. 1) Wild Mouse should be converted to Wild Moose 2) Lightening Racer should be removed for the water park to have more space-they need some more capacity there, its insane how busy it is. Never seen a water park have a wait for the lazy river! They still have Comet so no loss. 3) Tidal Force is super fun, generates a huge splash, and seems very popular. 4) If Top Thrill 2 is a success, watch out for Storm Runner to get a renovation??!! 5) They need a less intense launch and a wing coaster launched or Big Bear Mountain style ride would be a good fit. 6) with Hershey not having a ton of space they will need be careful with their decisions. 7) Hershey Park- Theatre area, never really considered it, they had a small show there and it was decent, but didnt seen to fit Hershey park, especially as they have the Zoo America. 8) a Giga Discovery would be a good flat ride.
1. Wild moose is a great idea 2. Getting rid of lightning racer is a big no for right now and if they got rid of it they should put a high thrill ride there not water park expansion 3. Tidal force is great should stay or should be removed for a water park expansion 4. Storm runner is good as is doesn’t need a renovation but if they got one it would be pretty nice 5. They need a new family-thrillish coaster for sure 6. While that being true I think a family Vekoma big bear mountain type rides would be great aswell as a ride like time traveler 7. Good point maybe could see a removal in the future but uncertain 8. It would definitely be
No way the park is going to build its next coaster in the parking lot you indicated and relocate that area somewhere else. There are many reasons why this will not happen. For starters, that lot was just completely redone during the Chocolatetown/Candymonium construction. Second, that lot serves not only the park, but several other venues in the immediate area, including the Chocolatier restaurant, the arena, and the stadium, during both the on and off seasons of the park itself. The space includes handicapped parking, and part of it is also often used for security screening and/or vendors when concerts are held in the stadium. The next coaster will also not be going in the area where the Whip ride used to be, as last year the park just added to its Dark Nights lineup a new indoor haunted maze (Auntie Mortem's Abattoir) in the former Whip building. With the blazing success of the Dark Nights event, that haunt is here to stay for a while. And finally, I don't see the next coaster replacing Tidal Force, either. The water park is extremely popular, and the plot of land on which Tidal Force sits is prime water park real estate. Tidal Force is indeed considered part of the water park. If and when it does get removed, it will be replaced by other water attractions. That leaves the undeveloped land next to Candymonium. Unless the park completely removes an existing coaster to create space for a new one, the park's next coaster is going there.
I think tidal force will be replaced for an expansion for the water park and I can also see wild mouse gone as well. I don’t think the rides near the lighting racer will go they really put a ton of investment into the dark nights and they took out the whip for a dark nights house. Sadly I can’t see your prediction happening only because Hersheypark arena is still in use by local colleges and high schools also the parking lot gets used sometimes as a food truck area for certain concerts. I think putting a coaster in between that would be cramming something into a spot that would cause more problems in terms of Hersheypark stadium and arena and people trying to access them. I think the next coaster will be near candymonium they have a bunch of land in front and behind candymonium. They literally redid park blvd so hersheypark could have 33 acres of land for future use. So why not a b and m flying coaster around there.
Tbh, I see the b&m giga coaster next to the candymodium, but isn't there space on the other side of the candymodium? If there is, I can see the new best giga and new best b&m in the world.
What if Tidal Force's replacement was a coaster featuring a splashdown in the waterpark area? Would allow an expansion of both the dry park and the waterpark. They'd probably want a trim that would be an option to turn on in the splashdown area so they could drain it for fall/winter and still run it.
I would guess the next coaster would be a family launch coaster over b y candy coming 2025, Ithan in 2026 I would say take out tidal force, and in 2027 they out in a dive coaster, than they sell wildmouse and expand the water park in 2028
I predict that it will be the giga either right next to Ken ammonium if they have room and also they can use it across the street and expand. If you and the graphic design people you work with can create the ultimate B&M Giga coaster. 350 feet tall 100 mph 8000 feet of track same trains at least 7 to 8 rows three trains. all with the Hershey’s chocolate brown painted on the trains and the track being caramel. Literally is called Hershey 350. If you could help create that and brant to life virtually, that would be great thank you.
I doubt the next new coaster for Hersheypark will be the best they get. I think it would be fair to say that they reached their limits with Skyrush and Candymonium. I bet their next roller coaster will be some sort of family launch coaster similar to the new Penguin Trek at SeaWorld Orlando or Manta at SeaWorld San Diego.
It is a possibility that they get a B&M Surf Coaster behind the Claw. They need a new launch coaster that is not as intense as StormRunner and it could be a sit-down version that B&M is rumored to be offering.
I would like to see a Gerstlauer eurofighter or an S&S El Loco in Hershey Park. They are fairly compact and they’re not crazy expensive, but they are capacity nightmares. 😔

Option 1: low capacity looper right next to Fahrenheit 👎 Option 2. low capacity family coaster right next to Wild Mouse 👎 Option 3: a great use of that space but I feel like they need to develop the area more w/ other flats/attractions before adding a 2nd coaster Option 4: the stadium right there gets used frequently throughout the summer and and the midway by there gets super clogged. I could see them eventually developing there if they opt to remove the stadium and they can add an additional pathway towards the front of the park 👎 I think the area by Candymonium is the way to go if anywhere
I'm skeptical about Hershey adding a B&M wing. It's too similar to King's Dominion's 2025 addition. I think people forget that HersheyPark and KD compete for the DC area market (including everyone between DC and Baltimore). It's about 2 hours drive to each park.
HersheyPark lacks an impressive flat ride. They could knock down Tidal Force and put in a ride like that Wonder Woman Lasso ride at Six Flags. The massive swinging pendulum ride. I might have the name wrong.
I would love to see a wild moose instead of the wild mouse would love to see a family boomerang would LOVE to see a time traveler type of ride would LOVE to see a family multi launch coaster would LOVE to see a giga possible (although extremely unlikely)
Hershey could get the land next to and behind Candymonium and the Giga could form an L shaped layout and other parks and getting Giga to and I believe Hershey will get a Giga and a wing coaster in the next 5-10 years I could see both of these happening
I believe the town of Town of Hershey has a height limit that makes Giga coasters currently unbuildable. This was discussed a few years ago when Candymonium was in planning. A variance would need to be acquired to construct one in the future
@@potblack6043 The Kissing tower is 330 feet tall with he flag and Hershey can build up to 350 feet with approval bu to build that high the ride must follow curtain procedures

I hope they get a new dark ride something with crazy capacity maybe a trackless ride with many stations and trains
There's nothing going into the parking lot next to the claw there is still events going on in the arena and that parking is also used for higher up park employees
Bummer!! Ty
Other then a Giga possibly they could get a launch coaster by Vekoma or Intamin

Also there has been ground markings sighted behind candymonium.
Ohh
be nice they had a rollercoaster 300+ft, and the longest in the world, traversing the entire park.
Hersheypark is expanding like crazy! I wouldn’t be surprised if they did go the giga route. That would give my state Ohio some fierce competition!
If I’m being honest I don’t think a coaster would be replacing Tidal Force. It’s quite popular, and it’s running perfectly fine, and I’m pretty sure they added a new chain lift about a year ago.

already a top 3 coaster lineup in the world in most people’s opinions some people even have it 1 I personally do

Why not a B&M family launch?
They could!!
Yes because Hershey is in desperate need of some high thrill flats…
